Nowadays the most important task is the environmental protection of our planet for future generations. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Human activities have greatly impacted the environment. Thus, ensuring that it stays safe for the next generation is the task that needs to be allocated priority in contemporary times.
Rapid industrialization and deforestation has engendered colossal pollution, causing myriads of health problems, especially in children. The emissions of carbon and other greenhouse gasses from Industries and factories are rendering the air unbreathable, and also causing immense climatic changes. Thus, the need of the hour is to embrace strict guidelines to mitigate the pollutants and protect the planet since if the steps are not taken urgently, the environment would become inhospitable for the future generations. For example, environmentalists have given warning calls and are insisting on changing the fuel: from fossil to greener alternatives, being used and rewilding, so as to ensure that the carbon footprint is minimized and the globe can be prevented from becoming hostile for life.
Furthermore, the exploitation of finite resources has spiraled, and it is feared that if things progress at this speed, the naturally occurring minerals will cease to exist, jeopardizing the survival of the inhabitants populating this planet in some years from now. To corroborate, several minerals and materials have started exhausting and mining activity has stopped at numerous locations. Similarly, the crude oil reserves are also drying out fast. Ergo, as per several experts, there is dire need to conserve these naturally occurring minerals by discovering alternatives, so that the upcoming generations can use those.
Thus, it can be safely asserted that protecting whatever is left of the ecology for those who would inhabit the earth in some decades from now is a job of paramount importance. Deploying preservation strategies could help save resources even for the current generation, and make the world a better place to live.
