Many think life will be better in future when robots will do most of the work done by humans. Do you agree or disagree?

Before attempting to write an intro, plan what to write

Look at the tone and also the scope of the essay

Do you agree or disagree? Either side (clear stand in conclusion)

With what (will)

Many think life will be better in future when robots will do most of the work done by humans

Will life be better with the advent of robots, or not?

Yes?

  • Life will become convenient as people will be spared of efforts they invest to do their work

  • Things will speed up and people will save time

  • Errors will be eliminated and precision will be achieved

  • It will save lives and ensure safety

  • New horizons will open up

NO?

  • Unemployment will result

  • Loss of skills is another hazard: people will not be able to work in absence of power

  • Encourage sedentary lifestyle

  • This will create class conflicts and social discord, giving rise to crime

There is a common perception that the advent of robots will make life effortless. Although this notion has fetched support from various quarters, there is some cynicism.

To start with, the optimism about life becoming uncomplicated is supported by the benefits automation will bring around. This will spare humans of the efforts they have to invest in negotiating various tedious and laborious tasks at work and at home, leaving them with ample time to spend on other more essential areas and relax too. For example, artificial intelligence could drive cars and vehicles for them, and let them travel in comfort without worrying about mishaps and getting tired of facing traffic as drivers.

Besides this, these modern introductions could be of great assistance in reducing in affording safety. These machines would be able to work in hazardous conditions capable of jeopardizing human safety. To exemplify, in the recent pandemic, many healthcare workers were exposed to infections and in fact thousands lost their lives while treating infected patients, but with the availability of these devices in coming years, health care givers could be guaranteed safety as they will not need to go close to those affected individuals.

However, even though it is undeniable that this invention is bound to make things easy for mankind, it will also result in unemployment, especially at the skilled and semi-skilled levels. This equipment will supersede human labor, precipitating into heightened joblessness, and thus leading to poverty, by making it hard for people to earn a square meal a day.

Overall, although there are going to be some complications due to robots, life is bound to become easier if these machines are introduced. It is recommended by several experts that a prudent  approach can help overcome pitfalls.

Ielts Essay - Greater Innovations

Internet has overwhelmed humanity greatly, so much, so that some have started considering it to be the most prominent accomplishment of the man. However, such enthusiasm does not seem to emanate from every section: they think differently.

Undoubtedly, internet has transformed the human life radically. The most prominent of changes can be observed in personal realm where it has afforded effective and convenient methods of communicating. It has now become extremely easy to interact, with peers, nears and dears; now people do not have to wait to convey messages since this task barely takes a few moments to transmit messages anywhere across the world. Not only this, the whole exercise hardly costs anything expect nominal monthly subscription.

However, a school of thought considers discovery of electricity worthy of being termed as a true feat which completely transformed lives. The advent of this form of energy made it possible for the mankind to explore formerly untrodden realms: communication, transportation, medical diagnosis and intervention, construction, etc.  it's presence is conspicuous in every imaginable sphere of human life. Even the internet saw the light of day due to electricity.

Apart from electricity another innovation that cannot be easily disregarded is the arrival of aircraft, which changed the face of the planet making the globe truly a smaller place to tread where any location can be reached in a matter of a day, otherwise men would spend months faring the stormy seas. This has helped technology transfers, expansion of businesses, bring people together, and spread of internet.

In the hindsight, squabbling over the issue of determining supremacy of pioneering discoveries carries little substance. All innovations are path-breaking in their own virtue and have revolutionized human lives. Each of these discoveries has,  in one way or other assisted each other.

Ielts Essay Private R&D

Nowadays, private establishments are investing more than government into carrying out exploration in different fields. This as per some carries several benefits though others point out at the drawbacks. The questions arises here is whether the positives of this phenomenon outstrip negatives, or it it otherwise. I will discuss both these aspects and arrive at a logical conclusion.

Undoubtedly, private investment into R&D means speedy project initiation. Private organizations can arrange funds to be injected into such endeavors quickly: they do not have wait for the essential financial resources, as the these organizations can immediately spring into action and gather money to finance a venture, while  a government concern needs to get several clearances and also overcome bureaucratic hurdles, which can take an invariably long time to arrive at a fruition stage.

Besides this, private organizations seek productivity and optimum utilization of money and manpower resources, resulting in efficient deployment of each component. While each penny is accounted for, the expertise pushed into the projects also strive to meet deadlines. This is quite unlike government aided projects where due to job security, there is a lack of accountability among the personnel. This immensely slows down the flow and execution of any exploration.

Having said that, the associated failings of privately-funded research and development forces people to rethink. Many a times, it has been observed that in order to obliterate competition, businesses are tempted to release research results prematurely, and that also without validating outcomes and impact. This can jeopardize public safety, and lead to unwarranted consequences.

In conclusion, despite certain pitfalls, it is clear the benefits of private involvement in exploration projects outstrip its drawbacks by miles. Hence, controversies should be buried and private endeavors and forays should be promoted.

Ielts Essay - Government should spend money to explore life
Availability of appropriate technology and tools has mankind to foray into a realm beyond our own planet. The governments across the world are spending huge money on trying to find life beyond earth, this though has also invited a lot of flak from various quarters.

One of the most prominent reasons for going farther than the outermost limits of atmosphere of our planet is to unravel the mysteries of deeper space; and discover any similar life forms on other planets, if any. This, as per many, could help humanity find solutions for near disaster like situation they have put themselves into. Travelling further from the territories we have already known so deeply could help us to find another civilization that might help us find another civilization that might be more intelligent; and that might surely offer some critical tips on how to survive aftermath of extensive pollution and a probable nuclear war.

However, there are strong voices of dissent on this issue, as many lobbies are cynical of such an ambitious endeavor. As per them, how can governments even think of investing valuable money of tax-payers in these alleged useless activities, just to satisfy list of some whimsical scientists, when there is so much be done back home, on this planet. Currently the biggest challenge being faced by humanity is to improve the living conditions on this planet, the top priority is surely on ensuring appropriate nourishment; providing clean drinking water; rendering critical health care; and educating masses to alleviate illiteracy. In such a condition, diverting public money is a crime, as the critics propose.

To conclude, I personally feel, despite widespread derision, the space exploration programs are laden with multiple benefits for humanity; hence they should continue receiving state support.

Some people support the development of factory farming and the science creation of fruits and vegetables in agriculture, but others oppose to these developments. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Some people support the development of factory farming and the science creation of fruits and vegetables in agriculture, but others oppose to these developments. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Last century saw intensive interaction of science with primary sector. Starting with mechanization; followed up by extensive use of chemical based fertilizers; then battery rearing of cattle; and now genetic engineering, the onslaught of technology has seemed unstoppable. Although it has been supported  by many, others are quick to deride it.

Advocates openly exalt involvement of science in primary sector, since integration of scientific concepts and research with primary sector  have resulted in improving the output  of agriculture and dairy farming. This has helped wipe out worries about people dying of hunger, that were primary concerns in previous centuries. One can easily say that humans have been able to ensure enough food at last, as outputs in agricultural, and dairy activities have soared in last few decades that has facilitated easy availability of food at a much cheaper price.

However, there are others who are quite cynical about the impact of use of modern technology in primary sector. The damage caused to the ecology by extensive use of artificially synthesized compounds in agriculture, dairy and marine industry has been colossal. Wide swathes of land are being stripped of natural flora and fauna; even the marine life is being affected adversely, as the fecal filth of cattle and fish is being indiscriminately dumped into the water bodies.

Moreover, to make the matters worse, this is also impacting the health of humans, thereby defeating the very purpose of the forays of technology. Animals, poultry, fish and crops are being administered synthetic hormones and medicines, which is exposing humans to lethal ailments; disorders; resistance to antibiotic in extreme cases, etc..

In a nutshell, even though farming on industrial scale may be carrying numerous drawbacks, it must be continued since solutions lies in accelerating development and not halting it.

Ielts Private or Govt R&D

Private participation is seeping into every walk of public life and infact today this factor prominently features in all new research initiative being established by governments world over even ones with objectives that include humane purpose. As an impact, people have started raising doubts about the sanctity of the mission as they feel that the private enterprise is more inclined towards profits and research is an area that needs an input of selfless service. This creates a clash of interests thus proving disadvantageous for society. But this phenomenon has some really noticeable benefits that must never be ignored.

One essential reason that can be cited for increasing private participation is requirement of one critical component i.e. huge amount of funds required to finance various large scale projects that explore into endeavors for benefit of society.

Besides having essential funds, private enterprise is driven by objectives of earning profits that incites the companies to innovate and employ extensive means to accomplish these goals. This also creates opportunities for employment of highly qualified professionals in their occupational premise. These factors compiled together help in ensuring long term planning for running research based initiatives that often require long gestation periods before final realization of research goals.

On contrary, research initiatives of private enterprise are often influenced by selfish motives of private individuals who can use research activities for their own selfish ends, thereby reducing effectivity and efficiency of research being pursued and many times results are prematurely promoted as final accomplishments, which hamper the very relevance and spirit of exploration.

But whatever may be the case, I personally feel that privately led research establishments can prove more feasible in long term as they have all elements of innovation and dynamism. - Ielts Essay
