Nowadays many people want to buy famous brands of clothes, cars and other items. What are the reasons for this? Do you think it is a positive or negative development?

In this contemporary era, purchasing clothes and cars from well-known brands is getting popular. They want to  follow up the luxury trends by famous people. I strongly feel that this inclination: driven by aggressive advertisements, to jump onto the bandwagon is laden with myriad ramifications, and can engender insurmountable challenges.

People are obsessed with popular trends and the quality of branded clothes, cars and other items. Most brands are well-known with high quality products, they know what the customer wants most in their branded items. Brands produce items by focusing on quality and each detail of the product. For example, Nike is a famous and expensive brand in clothing and shoes, and the quality is a major reason for customers buying clothes.

Likewise, they sell a wide variety of products and the way they present their product attracts the attention of consumers. Moreover, they spend a lot of money on advertising and presenting their brands, and so people feel confident buying famous brands from around the world. Moreover, some just buy clothes and cars to flaunt their wealth.

However, the rising penchant to buy expensive brands is precipitating numerous complications: one is forced to invest colossally into procuring clothing and automobiles, which everyone cannot afford;  their income is not enough to fulfill their dreams, so they often become vulnerable to financial hardships. On top of that, many, usually incapable of such extravagance,  take loans to procure such commodities, and are forced to sacrifice their other more consequential areas like education, and so forth.

In conclusion, the compulsion to engage with goods that offer premium usability, coupled with expansive and influencing publicity is driving the craze to consume premium attire and cars, is fueling this propensity, but this is bound to have severe financial ramifications.

In contemporary times, the pervasive trend of investing into the merchandise of reputed brands has seen a significant rise. In this essay, I shall delve into the key reasons behind this propensity and explain why it is a detrimental evolution.

The primary driver of this inclination is the perceived high quality and durability: renowned brands often produce goods with excellent finish that exhibit craftsmanship. Furthermore, possession of such products is generally deemed as a symbol of affluence that simultaneously fetches social validation. Similarly, there is a drastic increase in disposable incomes, leading to increment in  spending capacity and aiding people in choosing from a plethora of high priced options available to them. Moreover, the media plays an integral role in engendering cravings for luxurious lifestyles.

The only positive attribute this phenomenon has is that it offers a life of exclusivity when one is driving a luxurious car;  carrying an exclusive handbag; or wearing a branded attire; however, it is fraught (shrouded) with severe ramifications  as the havoc it is wreaking in the lives is irrecoverable. The constant exposure of these merchandise by celebrities entices the youth to go on a buying spree and become spendthrift.

Additionally, there is a wasteful expenditure of resources causing an excessive financial crisis as the majority have started taking loans in order to  fulfill their desires - the emphasis on brand image and materialism taking precedence. Instead of creating an image, it dampens the self esteem of users trying to ape those who populate the high end of income spectrum leaving them distraught.

Thus, it is crucial that the allure of famous brands in modern consumer culture must be seen with a critical eye;the benefits earned are short-termed but the accompanying circumstances cause people to endure hardships and crises.

More and more people are becoming inclined to consuming clothes manufactured by established and famous companies. This phenomenon is fuelled by multiple reasons, but is impacting society unfavorable

Most are tempted into buying goods primarily due to the innate quality of humans  to emulate each other, especially the affluent and celebrated personalities who endorse through ads. This yearning is bolstered by higher disposable incomes and availability of the  merchandise designed and manufactured to address the expectations and aspirations of diverse income groups. This tendency is assumed to be making people feel up-to-date, contented with their living conditions, and eventually confident. An opinion goes to the extent of terming this inclination as a development helping bridge gaps between diverse socioeconomic groups.

Notwithstanding certain plausible advantages, this is predisposing people to several difficulties, who out of their intent to flaunt  their affluence, or match the standards of their elite peers, end up spending their hard earned money extravagantly, often exhausting their reserves, and making them vulnerable to financial crisis. The most profoundly affected group from this development is that of the youngsters who in an attempt to match possessions of their rich friends, raise unwarranted demands on their parents, and making them struggle hard to meet the demands: various studies have substantiated the fact that a major portion of household budgets is spent on buying, or maintaining prohibitively expensive goods of coveted brands, considered a luxury, leaving them with little for the rainy days.

Overall, it can be thus said, despite making people feel happy and confident, the penchant  to flaunt wealth is exposing them to financial troubles since they are unable to save money for their future. Therefore, this phenomenon is an unfavourable evolution: benefits are eclipsed by drawbacks.

In concurrent times, a lobby opines that a majority of consumers like to have rich lifestyles by using branded clothes, investing into luxury cars, and many more to maintain their social status. In this essay, I will elucidate some causes for the same and provide the justified opinion about why it is an unfavorable evolution.

To embark upon, a school of thought propounds that with the increase in disposable income, the tastes and preferences have also changed by virtue of which many want to invest into big brands to upgrade their social status: it helps in boosting their confidence as they look affluent. Nowadays, as a plethora of brands - targeting a varied income strata - are easily available all across the world and they provide items at affordable prices, it gives people a vast variety to choose from, and they like to spend on the quality products as these are more durable.

Nevertheless, this trend is increasing the gap between the affluent and the destitutes as one can easily identify the difference by just looking at a person, and numerous people are wary of this, and thus avoid going to the social gatherings.

Also, this is augmenting the peer pressure, pushing many young children to force their parents to provide them with luxury items, or resorting to indulging in unlawful activities to attain their goals. A recent survey revealed that juvenile crime has increased and the reason for that is youngsters seeking money to satisfy their craving to buy expensive things.

Overall, famous brands have improved the lifestyle of people drastically; however, one cannot ignore the drawback it has on the society which is pressuring parents and they have to sacrifice their own needs to fulfil demand of their wards.
