Some educationalists propose that, instead of boosting the morale of learners, tutors should concentrate on imparting academic knowledge. I strongly disagree with this view; the learning caliber is likely to differ, and  persuasion may be required to excel academically.

To commence with, the education system has evolved with time, precipitating steep competition amongst pupils, and exposing them to unwarranted agony. The adverse impact of such miserable conditions can be offset through encouragement extended by educators, helping pupils overcome stress and anxiety. Therefore, it becomes imperative for teaching professionals to allocate priority to both: academics and mental well-being, to ensure that learners are able to brave the challenges facing them in performing well scholastically, and evade distress and problems posed by a competitive environment. .

On top of that, while academic knowledge is essential, students may struggle to cope with tricky and demanding topics. Generally, those only laying emphasis on delivering syllabus tend to gauge everyone on the same scale, and ignoring typical individual learning abilities. Such an approach can discourage students from continuing their efforts, and can even push them to quit schooling altogether in extreme cases. However, those committed mentoring learners go beyond the conventional duties and ensure that they help students determine their weaknesses, and discover ways to overcome them.  For instance, a majority of accomplished professionals in various domains admit that receiving education under the faculty  who stimulated them to invest themselves deeper in studies, and even counter the most difficult of subjects, helped them define a successful career.

In conclusion, although focusing on academics by the faculty is essential, without their constant support, students can get discouraged. It could also shake their confidence, hindering their overall development, hence motivation is way more important than other aspects: it is a critical teaching acumen.
