Activities  carried out with human efforts ensure multiple advantages: low-intensity exercise, reduction in expense, and power saving, to name a few. One of the major benefits is the physical strength it imparts, making daunting tasks easier. An individual can perform physical exertion and metabolize calories without needing to seek refuge in the gym. To corroborate, research has shown that those undertaking their daily work at home tend to be healthier and fitter as compared to their counterparts relying on machines. 

Furthermore, this helps save money as no appliance needs to be bought, and it also alleviates power consumption, thereby mitigating power bills. Undeniably,  state-of-the-art devices like microwave ovens, dishwashers, and vacuum cleaners, among others, cost several arms and legs, require expensive maintenance, and also consume excessive electricity, but circumventing their use can help save monetary resources.  

However, this propensity can make life monotonous, because of long working hours at home and no social life. One may be tired and may not want to work, but it is their necessity to complete tasks. In addition, working professionals face paucity of time, needed for daily household chores, because of exhausting work schedules. Many urbanites often complain of being tied down to tasks like dishwashing,  cooking, cleaning house and gardens, even on weekends.  

To conclude, even though this propensity has several benefits to offer: ensuring physical activity and money savings, there are some darker sides to this such as costing one some precious moments. I feel that one must use technology prudently to enjoy the best of both worlds.

To begin with, this approach is exposing people to umpteen advantages, the most prominent being that one is able to stay physically active and away from the depressing thoughts. By virtue of needing to indulge in carrying out domestic work, people are able to perform a low intensity workout, helping burn calories and stay fit. Many following this practice report that they never need to visit a gym to regulate their weight and their metabolism also stays fine-tuned.

Besides this, individuals can also evade depression that usually results due to the indolent lifestyles and living alone. It has  been observed in several elite countries in the western hemisphere that the most leading cloistered lifestyles tend to do their work using their own efforts, and feel happier, since it helps them to stay away from feeling abandoned.

People do not let the spoils of modern innovations interfere with certain tasks. This although may be having a lot of drawbacks, it carries some prominent positives too.

The most prominent benefit of not involving machines in household jobs is ensuring a close observation and control on the process, especially when cooking. Such jobs need careful observation and use of sensory organs, like olfaction. This also aids in maintaining uniqueness, like distinct recipes and list of ingredients used apart from the time required to monitor appropriate seasoning and administering of ingredients which can only be perfected with experience, and not by setting cooking timings on machines.

Similarly, there are certain tasks that are better done by hands rather than deploying some mechanized equipment to supersede human efforts. Work involving handling delicate  material and things cannot be entrusted to appliances, that do not know where to start from and where to stop. Using apparatus to wash clothes with delicate fibers and clean fragile things, that  are prone to damage and loss, can be an expensive affair.

However, doing work physically, costs both efforts and time. To conclude, I opine doing certain tasks by using own efforts is having more benefits than drawbacks. This methods has been followed since time unknown and has assisted in perfecting skills and ensures qualitative outputs.
