Many people believe that alterations in weather patterns can harm business, while others think that this phenomenon can create numerous opportunities for commercial activities. In this essay, I will discuss both of the perspectives along with my opinion.

To begin with, there are myriad reasons why people believe that a shift in climatic patterns  can bring mega opportunities for their business. To start with, tourism establishments can afford more advantages due to weather change, like in many countries during hot summer days, individuals tend to spend  hefty amounts just to visit regions with moderate and cold temperatures, and in that sense, the leisure industry can register more profits. Also, during summer seasons the demand and supply of air-conditioners increases and similarly, in winters supply of geyser and heaters boost up the business for both manufactures and suppliers.

On the other hand, others believe that this shifting weather can have a negative effect on their trade. Like during the rainy season, heavy rainfall can negatively impact farmers. For example, due to extreme rainfall, the crops may get damaged and the complete farming activity gets affected, making farmers poor. Another drawback is for roadside vendors. The more than normal rains can impede their business and affect their earnings. Furthermore, the cities that experience higher than usual temperatures - as high as 47 degrees in the months of May, June and July and during peak summer months - dairy products and green groceries stand the risk of getting  spoiled.

To recapitulate, some businesses may be able to gain from the altering weather phenomenon, but in reality, small businesses may be impacted quite adversely, affecting a majority of the populace.

A school of thought, dominated by environmentalists, fears that the rapidly transforming climatic patterns could have unfavorable impacts on commercial activities, while the other section proposes favorable outcomes. I align myself with the former view, and shall support my stand in the following paragraphs. 

The  alterations in the behavior of climate have started to show their presence, in the form of abrupt weather phenomenon such as extended rainy season or dry spell, which result in floods and droughts respectively, causing severe disruptions in activities related to farming, natural resource extraction, and so on, and affecting communities and organizations engaged in producing, and selling, food and other raw material. To corroborate, over the last decade, several food producing, and mining, giants have seen their losses grow due to their goods being lost, or spoiled, owing to hostile seasons, either arriving late or early.

Similarly, the hospitality sector has been at the receiving end by virtue of unpredictable season patterns, resulting in heat, or cold waves, or unbearable humidity, often causing disaster consequences. For instance, the prolonged summers and the scorching heat caused fierce wildfires in California recently, decimating the hotel industry completely and taking tourists away, engendering huge losses for hotels.

Nevertheless, those representing the positive side, despite their view lacking conviction, propound that such distortions have fetched broader opportunities for entities involved in researching and discovering greener technologies, and methods, to counter environmental challenges posed by this bizarre development. However, this will only benefit miniscule minority, exposing the rest to unbearable misery and losses.

To conclude, commercial organizations drawing rewards from distortion in the climatic patterns is a misconception since a majority of corporations conducting business in different sectors are going to suffer immensely and produce catastrophic ramifications for those dependent on these endeavors.

In contemporary times, a drastic change in the climate in all regions of the world has been observed. This phenomenon has alarmed some experts who fear that this would fetch an umpteen number of disadvantages for businesses; however, the other lobby dissents and thinks otherwise. This essay intends to discuss both views.

​​To embark upon discussion, the change in weather conditions could have adverse effects on several businesses which could lead to enormous amounts of loss on the economic front. To exemplify, crops require specific climatic conditions in order to yield a rich harvest. Increase in temperature or water content in the atmosphere could result in harming the crops, affecting the overall agricultural productivity, and leading to financial loss to farmers. Moreover, this shift has caused several glaciers to melt due to notable rise in the temperatures, which has increased the sea levels to a great extent, exposing many coastal cities to a threat of submerging and endangering several businesses dwelling in those areas.

Nevertheless, there are a few who claim this process to be beneficial and propound that it would help several businesses to prosper. Due to change in environmental conditions, many companies would endeavour into innovating new products to address the transforming requirements; hence, creating several new job opportunities and rendering more profits. For instance, to deal with the deteriorating quality of air because of change in climatic conditions, a company started building large air purifiers which have been installed in many countries to decontaminate the air. This has fetched enormous amounts of revenues to the organization.

Overall, despite both views being justified, I personally side with the view that such change in weather would be more disastrous to businesses and will result in greater economic loss to the many.

Weather patterns  play a vital role in running a business. A school of thought considers the current shift in these as a good omen for expanding business, while some voice their dissent  and fear that this may leave an adverse impact on the growth.

To start with, many economists believe that the imbalanced climate would bring prosperity in the trade as they can produce more products such as for  creating artificial atmospheric conditions, irrespective of prevailing weather. There is no doubt that with these sudden changes, requirements of individuals will be changed, and to fulfill the demands of the latter, many companies will  grab the opportunities and provide their goods at premium prices. Thus, businesses could generate more revenue, and establish new projects for  accomplishing their desired targets.

Nevertheless, those skeptical of the former opinion predict that the shift in climatic patterns  is bound to create a chaotic situation for commercial activity. To illustrate, the farmers who are completely dependent upon natural resources: sunlight, heat, mist, rain and air, could become financially deprived and helpless since they will not receive the essential resources as per the demands of crops; and thus will have to resort to man-made arrangements for survival of their crops, causing a hike in their cost of operations, making agriculture infeasible.  Similarly, those who produce seasonal goods such as clothes and other gears, may face failure in meeting their goals, owing to declining demand for their products in different climatic scenarios. 

Overall,  even though some might feel that changing weather could fetch a multitude of benefits for commercial activities, the ramifications are likely to be far more serious. Therefore, it can be safely said that the climatic shift for the worse is going  to hamper business potential in a myriad of ways.
