In many counties, life-expectancy of people is increasing and they require a huge amount of money at their retirement. An alternative is that they should start work at a young age . Is this alternative a positive or negative development?

Some suggest that to counter the challenges posed by a prolonged post-retirement lifespan, one should engage in professional endeavors quite early on; this will be quite beneficial. However, I feel it is an unfavorable evolution because it will certainly hinder personal and occupational progress in the long run.
Those advocating embracing employment when one is quite young assume that this will afford a longer working tenure, and thus, a bigger window of opportunities to earn and save for the autumn years. For example, it will be possible to earmark funds for investments into creating financial buffers through securities, and so forth, for a stretched period, and those resources could facilitate a comfortable life as a retiree.
Nevertheless, this presumption lacks substance because such an approach will prove to be counter productive. To initiate working earlier than the conventional age, youngsters will be required to abandon education midway, which will deprive them of chances to gain appropriate acumen in the trade they involve themselves in. Consequently, there is a great likelihood of them being straightjacketed into poorly compensated employment for life.
