The world should have only one government rather than a national government for each country. Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?

The world should have only one government rather than a national government for each country. Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?

Some  propose a unified global government instead of each nation having one of its own. This essay shall delve deeper to determine the pros and cons into this matter, and evaluate whether the notion of merits of such world order surpass its demerits.

Undeniably, a single world-government could promote global cooperation and nearly eliminate conflicts between nations as having one central authority, issues like climate change, global health crisis, cross-border terrorism, and border disputes could be effectively addressed by discovering remedies sans impediments. Also, this arrangement can engender a conducive environment for travel and communication across borders, by affording uniform laws and policies, which would simplify trade and unify commerce across stratas of society.

However, the idea of one worldwide authority undermines cultural diversity and representation of people hailing from diverse backgrounds and regions with unique traditions, values, and political systems dating way before the conceptualisation of governments;  hence, it would be extremely difficult for universal governance to fairly address distinct local issues. Such centralisation would lead to loss of local autonomy, and could result in unequal and inefficient distribution of resources as managing the needs of a global population is highly complex.

Furthermore, vesting power in a global governing body poses the risk of misuse of authority: without sufficient checks and balances, such representation might become too powerful, potentially leading to authoritarian control, and eventually a collapse in the not too distant future. To corroborate this, the fall of the Soviet Union was largely credited to rampant corruption and neglect of accountability with blatant exploitation of the people and resources of Baltic nations.

Overall, although a universal regime might offer benefits such as improved coordination and reduced conflicts, those rejecting this stress on the pitfalls - particularly the risks to cultural diversity, representation, and political freedom - and state that these are far more significant than any rewards this proposed world order might afford.

Nowadays cultures around the world are becoming more and more similar, as compared to the past. What are the reasons for this? Is this a positive or a negative development?

Nowadays cultures around the world are becoming more and more similar, as compared to the past. What are the reasons for this? Is this a positive or a negative development?

In contemporary times, it has been observed that “one identity, one culture” has gained acceptance across the world. This  is driven by several factors and can impact people and countries both favorably and unfavorably.

Educational institutions are guiding youngsters towards globalization, and the contemporary generation is also focussed on self awareness and so does not want to be restricted by socio-cultural boundaries. They consider all cultures, religion and tribal factors  as obsolete, and wish to transcend all barriers and doing whatever they like has become a trend unlike the past, where people cared for their ancestral socio-cultural obligations and cast based barriers.

Experts consider this a positive approach, as this mindset brings a positive attribute on the society, which lets people live like a global citizen and avoid being stuck in the regional and ethnic constraints. In addition, this phenomenon is bringing peace and harmony amongst people of diverse cultures. This positive change has also carved the way to find mechanisms to eliminate the enduring challenges such as bias based on race, creed and socio-cultural backgrounds, helping build a better and cohesive global society.

However, some fear that this approach might cause the demise of several cultures; with the universal aspirations  gaining acceptability, people, especially the youth might end up forgetting their native identity and history. This could mean a great loss not only a society but also the world as the traditions, rituals and local knowledge associated with the disappearing culture might also be lost forever

In hindsight, disputes aside, although the modern aspirations that lean towards a uniform global way of life do present a challenge for weaker societies, these impediments can be surmounted provided the concerned governments and communities act prudently, and endeavor to preserve their home-grown beliefs.

The best way to understand a culture is to work for a multinational organization. Do you agree or disagree?

The best way to understand a culture is to work for a multinational organization. Do you agree or disagree?

Cross-cultural communication  is a ubiquitous phenomenon in the contemporary globalised world. It is commonly perceived that this can be best done by working for an MNC. I fail to concur with this view, and suggest that a true familiarization with different ways of life can be only facilitated by traveling and living with the locals of host society to gain a profound and authentic experience.

Although transnational companies employ people from diverse backgrounds, cultural exposure, in such settings,  remains confined only to official interaction. These organisations usually follow a shared corporate culture entailing standardised rules, professional behaviour, and formal communication, persuading employees to suppress their endemic traditions and etiquette to comply with workplace expectations. Consequently, such engagement  provides only a superficial comprehension of diverse cultural aspects, mainly related to professional protocols rather than routine life.

However, living among inhabitants of host societies makes individuals vulnerable to authentic customs by exposing one to native routines, family relationships, gastronomy, and religious and social rituals. For instance, sharing meals, celebrating festivals, and communicating in the local language offer invaluable insights into the beliefs and values underpinning  a society. Such immersion helps engender an enriching understanding about cultural practices and the  behavior of natives.

Similarly, close contact with host communities encourages emotional engagement and fosters empathy towards diversity of cultural aspirations by affording real-life experiences by rendering exposure to native traditions, and social expectations, fetching meaningful experiences. Such personal involvement leads to genuine cultural awareness rather than just the theoretical knowledge gained through observation alone.

Overall, while global organisations may offer limited exposure to cultural diversity, they are not the most conducive way to engage with disparate ways of life: this can come from travelling to a place and living among locals, where culture is experienced through direct participation.

The world should have only one government rather than a national government for each country. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

The idea of installing a global governing body, instead of having separate establishments administering their own countries, has long been debated. While such a system might have some merits, I strongly believe that the drawbacks clearly outstrip the former.

Advocates of this arrangement argue that having a unified regime for the whole world can help resolve numerous global issues, and help develop harmony and respect among diverse cultures.  Additionally, a majority of  international conflicts arise due to the hunger of capturing territorial rights of the others, but engendering this system would outrightly eradicate  cross-border disputes.  For instance, a major portion of the budgets of every country is allocated to strengthen defense systems, to safeguard their borders from potential threats from the neighbouring countries.

In contrast, many believe that such a set-up can prove to be disastrous, rather than a positive development. This could lead to the government acting arbitrarily at their own whims and fancies, thereby neglecting the actual issues influencing localized circumstances, causing chaos rather than bringing clarity. Additionally, it would undermine the true essence of democracy and would prove to be regressive, by paving the way for authoritarian rules. For instance, in many countries, authoritarian regimes have failed to establish social harmony, rather they have instilled fear and have taken control,  whereas democratic settings extend absolute freedom in almost all walks of lives.  These two different ways of lives would prove to be compatible and thus result in conflicts of interest causing disorder.

In conclusion, this proposal fails to emanate optimism, as the shortfalls are much more disastrous which cannot be overlooked. The concept of uniform global government does not sit well in a fragmented world, wherein some are placed as democracies, while others are autocratic: the root of all conflicts.

Living in a country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social problems, as well as practical problems. Do you agree or disagree?

Living in a country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social problems, as well as practical problems. Do you agree or disagree?

Surviving in an alien environment without knowledge of local language can pose severe hurdles in various paradigms:

  • Knowing about local customs and ways of life can become a difficult job; thus, never allowing migrants to effectively integrate with surroundings
  • Youngsters find it harder to settle down since they are unable to mingle with their native peers and often are subjected to slur
  • Finding work can become an extremely arduous job
  • Surviving in alien surroundings can be an onerous task: finding directions, knowing about places

No issues arise today

Residing in an alien country can be an extremely onerous endeavor if one is unfamiliar with the native tongue, by virtue of encountering a myriad of challenges: establishing friendships with locals, and many more. I subscribe to this notion and elucidate more details in the following paragraphs.

To begin with, one major concern that people, with linguistic incompatibility, might face when trying to settle in an alien country, is harnessing employment opportunities because of the lack of ability to communicate effectively with host employers. This can be corroborated by a survey conducted  by Toronto Sun to assess the employment status of new entrants into Canada that revealed startling facts that over thirty percent of migrants  were unable to  land well-compensated jobs that complemented their qualifications due to them not being able to use English, or French effectively

Similarly, youngone are the worst sufferers since when they move to an alien region, they find it difficult to interact with the hosts, and consequently, they are badly bullied by their peers in colleges, universities and offices, making them vulnerable to mental complications. Similarly, due to unfamiliar tongues, one might find it onerous to socialize with the locals and take any part in social gatherings, making them feel alienated.

However, things have changed tremendously and made available tools that help transcend barriers posed by lack of knowledge  of native language:  nowadays, there are numerous technologies and apps like duolingo and google translator that assist one in interacting with others seamlessly. Similarly,   many now before relocating, update themselves about the language used in the destination societies.

To conclude, although one might encounter some problems while relocating to an alien country, due to linguistic incompatibilities, nowadays due to advancement of  technologies, one can effortlessly communicate and adapt to alien societies.

Some people believe that traditional and cultural values and behaviour will gradually disappear as societies become more modern. Do you agree or disagree?

Some people believe that traditional and cultural values and behaviour will gradually disappear as societies become more modern. Do you agree or disagree?

Agree

Disagree

  • The cultural aspirations have held steadfast, and have instead adapted themselves to modern times without losing their authenticity
  • Even families living in nuclear settings are ensuring that their next generation is well-informed about the beliefs endemic to their communities
  • Social media has made it possible to promulgate local beliefs

While some fear that the shifting paradigm in all walks of life may cause traditional beliefs to die, this notion lacks conviction as advancement is instead bringing people closer to their customs, helping ensure that these will continue to exist.

Those  alleging that the advent of fresh aspirations and alterations are going to unfavorably impact native ways of life, profess that this phenomenon has promoted a global identity in all spheres: language, clothing, festivals and food, among others. This has led to many, especially the young generation, to abandon their own traditions, and very soon the latter will diminish. However, this perception is misconceived; even the youth can clearly differentiate between foreign and their own lifestyles, and successfully maneuver between the two.

Nevertheless, the progress has rather reinvigorated the dying conventional ceremonies. The availability of state-of-the-art tools and applications has allowed perpetuation of cultural practices, and community leaders are able to conduct a profound research on their traditional systems and enlighten the populace at large, engaging it more actively. To corroborate, social media has become a vehicle of proliferating information about the festivities, and rationale behind observing them, widely, convincing even the strongest critics of traditionalism to celebrate events.

Moreover, parents, despite living in nuclear family settings, are involving their progeny in rituals, celebrations, and learning about cultural and religious aspects. For instance, children are regularly sent to attend classes imparting knowledge of scriptures, folk dance and music, and so forth, and participate in communal programs and processions, to educate them about their indigenous routines.

In hindsight, the concerns about local beliefs being pushed into extinction by progressive thought processes and global aspirations, are completely unfounded; technology and the intent to practice the culture, are going to ensure that the traditional ways will always exist.

More and more qualified people are moving from poor to rich countries to fill vacancies in specialist areas like engineering, computing and medicine. More and more qualified people are moving from poor to rich countries to fill vacancies in specialist areas like engineering, computing and medicine. Some people believe that by encouraging the movement of such people, rich countries are stealing from poor countries. Others feel that this is only part of the natural movement of workers around the world. Discuss and  give your opinion

Today, a growing number of highly qualified professionals from developing countries have been migrating to wealthier nations. While some argue that this trend amounts to exploiting destitute societies, others believe it reflects the natural movement of labour in a globalised world. In my opinion, although developed nations actively attract skilled workers, this migration is ultimately a normal and unavoidable global phenomenon.

Those who view this issue as exploitation allege that wealthy countries deliberately design policies to attract talent from abroad. They offer competitive salaries, comprehensive healthcare benefits, and improved living conditions to skilled professionals. Corporations and governments often create immigration pathways specifically targeting doctors, engineers, and IT specialists. Apart from that, prospective immigrants are also allowed to bring their families along and allow them access permanent residence, and then citizenship through the naturalization process, an offer too tempting to be overlooked. As a result, individuals from impoverished regions are drawn by financial security, career advancement and a stable family life.

On the other hand, many debunk the former view and believe this movement is a natural consequence of economic disparity and global interconnectedness. Everyone enjoys the fundamental right to seek better opportunities and improve their standard of living, and extend themselves and their kin better facilities and future prospects. Ever since humans appeared on this planet, they have migrated and relocated to places which boast of affording surfeit opportunities for better living conditions, and this ritual has continued into the modern times, and thus, there is nothing alarming about this pattern.

In conclusion, although it may seem that affluent nations actively encourage skilled migration through attractive incentives and rob their destitute counterparts of their invaluable talent, this process profoundly reflects individual choice and global economic reality and is inevitable.

Most of the urgent problems can only be solved with international cooperation. Do you agree or disagree?

Most of the urgent problems can only be solved with international cooperation. Do you agree or disagree?

There is a general perception emerging among those believing that umpteen concerns of the world could be surmounted with help of international teamwork. I agree with this proposal, which shall be discussed in the following paragraphs.

To start with, a lobby strongly asserts that the challenges such as hunger, which is augmenting malnutrition index, especially among children, could be tackled if the developed countries donate, or sell the spare produce, to recipient societies. This will nip the evil in its bud; as a result, those famishing will have food on their platters. For example, every year Japan donates the harvest of corn with Thailand, in order to help undernourished juveniles.

Moreover, many feel that if nations open borders for tourism, it will render a plinth to progress, aiding economies by creating employment for millions and business worth billions. This is to say, when travelling for leisure is promoted, it will help create jobs in diverse economic sectors, sometimes, not even related to tourism; likewise, generate revenues for organizations engaged in disparate commercial domains and regimes of host countries, aiding in amassing monetary resources for daily and emergencies.

Similarly, a group propounds that rich nations should share environmental research and its results. These findings will assist in overcoming several woes: deforestation, pollution, garbage disposal, and many more, not just at a local but at the global level. To corroborate, a recent finding on waste management by researchers in New Zealand, was shared with Asian countries, helping engender an elaborate framework for proper disposal of trash.

Hence, it can be safely asserted that with international joint efforts by: sharing information, food, and permitting leisure travel, will surely pave a way in discovering plausible mechanisms to enable the global community to negotiate numerous universal concerns.

Living in a country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social problems, as well as practical problems. Do you agree or disagree?

The most prominent challenge in migrating to a new country is the linguistic barrier that poses immense complications in various manifestations. Some accord with this notion, while others dissent.

A school of thought assumes that settling in an alien environment without the knowledge of local language affords several impediments: immigrants find it hard to settle down; they are unable to interact with peers, and cannot share their thoughts with friends, teachers and employers, adversely impacting their performance. Also, this endeavor makes it difficult to find a job; lack of compatibility with native tongues is usually deemed unwelcoming by the corporates. For instance, Quebec in Canada only accepts job applications from the aspirants who embrace the French language because the majority of the population is of French descent.

Moreover, this hurdle stimulates the imbroglio that impedes them from enjoying their basic needs like grocery shopping. To exemplify, a survey conducted in Russia revealed that sixty percent of the locals did not comprehend the worldwide accepted language: English, and promoted their language,  which  proved to be a stumbling block for new entrants to Russia, depriving them of opportunities to explore the new surroundings freely.

Nevertheless, the former view holds little relevance today when technological advancement has ushered a paradigm shift: facilities, like google translator, help interpret any language into the host dialect. These afford comfort and convenience to immigrants. Similarly, systems like google maps and GPS help people to navigate directions seamlessly, eliminating dependence on external intervention. Additionally,  those relocating to new environments enthusiastically prepare and accept different challenges that come their way.

To conclude, undeniably, there are several problems while migrating to societies using unfamiliar dialects, but technological evolution has aided in transcending difficulties posed by such endeavors, easing up the process of adapting to new environments.

Because of the global economy, many goods including what we use as daily basics produced by other countries have to be transported for a long distance. To what extent do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

Because of the global economy, many goods including what we use as daily basics produced by other countries have to be transported for a long distance. To what extent do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

In contemporary times, one of the major benefits of globalization is the easy import and export of various goods. Some people opine that such an arrangement carries more merits than demerits; however, a lobby does not concur  with the former notion and thinks otherwise. This essay intends to discuss both sides.

Trading of goods between nations is helping fetch umpteen favourable outcomes, the primary being people are able to enjoy a plethora of products: high quality almonds that are rich in nutrients from California, dates from UAE and avocado from Mexico, to name a few,  which cannot be produced locally due to various factors such as climate and kind of soil. Similarly, exports of several products to other countries is opening scope for local vendors to scale up on international platforms. As a result, it is supporting economies by bringing overseas markets within their reach. Also, it is assisting in building stronger bonds with other countries.

However, a few dissent with the aforementioned statement and assert that trans global transportation of commodities is causing humongous pollution, generated from various modes of transport such as airplanes, trains and ships. On top of that, in some cases, where certain food items are being exported, manufacturers add preservatives in order to increase the shelf life of those products, thus making them unhealthy to consume. A survey conducted by University of California concluded that most of the food products which are imported from other countries consist of high levels of preservatives which could lead to several ailments when consumed for a longer duration.

Overall, although there are some disadvantages of international trade, its pros definitely outshines its cons as this phenomenon is making available goods not produced in various parts of the world besides creating harmonious relationships between nations.

Developing countries should be encouraged to implement high tariffs to grow their local industries. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Developing countries should be encouraged to implement high tariffs to grow their local industries. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Agree. Why?

  • This would provide level playing field to the local entrepreneurs who can match their output on the basis of the prices

  • This could persuade MNCs of elite regions to set up their units in poor nations by tying up with local organizations

  • This would promote business and employment, development

Disagree, why?

  • This could problems for local manufacturers, causing the prices of the local produce to spiral

  • This could prove to be counterproductive: prosperous countries will reciprocate in the same manner

Should impoverished nations erect protective trade barriers, using import levies, to bolster domestic businesses, is a perception that invites mixed responses, with some vouching for it, others outrightly rejecting it. Both the perspectives are supported by justified views, and thus, cannot be overlooked.

This  policy is perceived as a formidable/powerful tool of rendering a leveled playing field to commercial enterprises and industrial units, endemic to a country, that have to otherwise struggle hard to survive the stiff competition presented by large global organisations, hailing primarily from prosperous societies, and enjoy an upper hand due to colossal financial resources, and state-of-the-art technology, available at their disposal. Therefore, such an arrangement would help native business owners by making their produce competitive. For instance, countries like Brazil have imposed heavy taxes on sports goods, brought in from the other parts of the world, to assist the local budding industries, and this system, or rather a gamble paid off well; local sports brands of this country have gained immensely in terms of local and international recognition.

Nevertheless, despite being eulogized, deployment of this policy in absolute terms is likely to boomerang, for the other countries will behave in a similarly hostile manner, and reciprocate with equally excessive charges on goods being procured from the regions following this practice. This will offset any benefits derived as the exports can be hampered extensively, resulting in loss of foreign exchange. Likewise, local manufacturing of several products, using imported components, will become expensive, and affect the native consumers quite unfavourably by taking goods out of their reach.

In hindsight, in a highly globalized world of contemporary times, enforcing this kind of set-up will have severe ramifications, turning the future of native industrial landscape into bleak; thus this should be confined to only certain sectors.

Do you think the advantages of globalization outweigh disadvantages? Give your opinion in at least 250 words with relevant examples from your own experience.

Do you think the advantages of globalization outweigh  disadvantages? Give your opinion in at least 250 words with relevant examples from your own experience.

Benefits of globalization

Individuals

  • They are able to communicate with others, regardless of political boundaries, creating  understanding between diverse ethnicities, cultures and nationalities, creating harmonious relationships and helping brush aside tribal attitudes by broadening their mindsets.

  • People can go to other parts of the world  - due to information and  facilities being easily accessible - and  fulfill their objectives; education, employment, medical intervention, leisure and even business opportunities.

  • **Rendering visibility to all cultures.

  • People are now able to obtain goods and services of similar quality and at similar prices anywhere in the world

Businesses

  • Companies can now access markets in any part of the world unhindered: absence of protective barriers have rendered  an unprecedented ease to businesses

  • Can access cheap labor and raw material anywhere in the world

Economies and countries

  • Transfer of technology and expertise has become relatively easier  since free trade has become a new normal due to global concepts.

  • Impoverished economies are getting a  much needed infusion of capital and expertise that is generating employment for millions and business worth billions and revenues of the state.

  • Companies  of rich countries are able to access cheap resources: manpower, raw material and infrastructure easily, reducing the operational costs.

  • Global problems like  pollution and  crime are being handled more effectively now due to sharing of information and establishment of common platforms.

Drawbacks

  • ** Conservatives are wary of this, they fear that their cultures are on the verge of extinction due to people becoming inclined to wearing global identity. Many regard it as a cultural invasion under the garb of global aspirations.

  • Killing the local entrepreneurial skills of poor economies: they are unable to face the competition from giant MNC’s. Many fear that the day is not far when the weak economies  will be overtaken by rich nations.

  • This is causing unemployment in rich countries

  • Transmission of disease has become easier, as  illustrated by the spread of coronavirus, affecting almost every inhabitant.

  •  Crime  has also become global.

The concurrent world order is highly global in nature, and has influenced every wail of life, by fetching both merits and demerits, but do the former outshine the latter, is an issue that needs a critical analysis.

These  recently evolving settings have had the most favourable impact on people across the globe; they can effortlessly and seamlessly communicate with their counterparts, regardless of their location, and share their views and opinions without restrictions, helping establish a conducive dialogue and environment, and bringing  cultures together, thereby creating harmony. For instance, festivals, food,  and various forms of art, of different countries, are being increasingly appreciated by everyone world over.

Similarly, at the macro level, the poor economies have been the biggest beneficiaries of this arrangement since they have been able to develop themselves with the help of infusion of much needed capital, expertise, technology, and global connections being brought in by gigantic multinationals hailing from prosperous nations. This has enabled them to create jobs for their skilled workforce, establish infrastructure and so on. Several Asian and African countries owe their progress to this phenomenon.

Nevertheless, the conservatives, despite being backed by unfounded fears, throw up arms in horror,  and compare this evolution with colonialism, wherein the rich part of the world is trying to gain control of impoverished regions through cultural and commercial invasion. However, the ground realities exhibit a completely contrasting picture:the poor nations have been able to use this medium to create resources for preserving their culture and also engender local entrepreneurial skills.

In hindsight, disputes aside, the rewards yielded by globalization are numerous and easily eclipse its alleged shortcomings, and hold several promises for mankind. This arrangement is there to stay, and very soon the world will transform into a global village.

Because of the global economy, many goods including what we use as daily basics produced by other counties have to be transported for a long distance. To what extent do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

Several conservatives and environmentalists

Because of the global economy, many goods including what we use as daily basics produced by other counties have to be transported for a long distance

are convinced that importing products utilized on an everyday basis from far-off regions in order to cultivate and bolster geopolitical ties can impact domestic economies unfavorably, and also contribute to environmental issues: global warming, while a few voice dissent.

This modern practice is bound to precipitate severe ramifications for the planet and its occupants. A majority of concurrent global trade heavily relies on conventional energy sources like diesel and other carbon based fuels used for transportation of raw materials, and finished commodities, over long distances, primary sources of pollution globally, and responsible for inducing unsurmountable damage to the ecosystem.

Moreover, importing basic day-to-day consumables from other countries could have devastating impact on the local manufacturers and businesses as outside players can manipulate regional markets by mass dumping their goods which would make it difficult for native competitors to sustain their operations, forcing them to shut down, leading to unemployment, and eventually affecting the economic capabilities of a state by slowly draining its wealth.

Having said that, advocates of the global economy hail it as a very favorable step towards world peace, resolving conflicts worldwide, and promulgating greater harmony among people belonging to different areas. In addition to this, it provides consumers with a wide range of consumables to choose from, thus providing them better alternatives and improving their standard of living. Furthermore, this would create a competitive atmosphere for local ventures to become more innovative and produce much superior merchandise.

To cap it all, I opine even though there are certain detriments of this modern arrangement, the favors it is likely to bring around are more profound, and thus, exceed the former by miles. The shortcomings associated can be surmounted by espousing prudent policies and greener fuels.

In many countries nowadays, consumers go to a supermarket and buy food produced all over the world

In contemporary times, supermarkets have become a blessing to society by selling edible produce from various countries. In this essay, I will elucidate why this evolution is favorable, in detail.

This phenomenon has received humongous appreciation due to the variety of food products one can access now. Earlier, food enthusiasts had to travel tirelessly to various countries to explore the local cuisines, but those days are long gone as with the introduction of supermarkets, everything is readily available under one roof within the own country of food enthusiasts, adding to their versatile gastronomic experience, saving them money but also the travelin time.

Additionally, it is being made sure that the quality of the food that is coming from across the globe is above the set standard by local bodies and fresh produce is offered to the consumers. This feature of adhering to the quality standard has set a benchmark in the consumer market. Moreover, this is proving to be a bliss for those regions whose landscape is not suitable for farming and producing food due to climatic and geographical constraints. For instance, countries like UAE and Canada, are able to offer multiple products to their citizens.

Additionally, this has been most rewarding for the migrants; they find it effortless in settling down in alien environments as they do not find it hard to meet their native dietary requirements. To corroborate, in Canada, Indian spices and condiments are available from different countries and because of this availability Indians do not have to worry about the hassles of adapting to the local products.

Therefore, it can be clearly asserted that this phenomenon is ladened with multiple benefits and it is bound to remove complications and bring ease to many. In all aspects, it is a favorable evolution.

Nowadays many people, with families, leave their country to work abroad. Do you think the benefits of this trend outweigh the disadvantages for the families? Give your opinion and include any relevant examples

.

The proliferation of globalization has precipitated,   the rising incidence of exodus of individuals to foreign countries, especially the affluent ones, for employment, better future for kin and so on. This decision is complex, and is associated with both brighter and darker shades. .

To begin with, working abroad can provide families with umpteen benefits: better compensated jobs, career advancement opportunities and a higher standard of living. For example, migrants may be able to secure positions in giant companies that offer attractive salary packages, benefits and opportunities for professional growth, not easily accessible in home countries. Additionally, their wards get unprecedented exposure to diverse cultures that can enrich their education, broaden their perspective, and foster intercultural competence, preparing them for success in an increasingly globalized world.

However, the benefits of such propensity must be weighed against the potential pitfalls, particularly if the family gets separated from the home country, the social networking is disrupted by staying at home and individuals become more emotionally depressed. One of the most significant challenges facing such families is missing their extended network, social support and familiar surroundings that may lead to isolation, loneliness and homesickness, particularly for spouse and children, struggling to adapt to an alien environment.

Expanding upon some of the other problems faced include young ones getting overwhelmingly engaged with the new exposure, they end up becoming confused, emotionally detaching from their parents, for they desire to embrace foreign lifestyles. They become more inclined towards their newfound friends, often causing arguments with parents, behavioral problems, academic difficulties, and even adjustment issues.

In conclusion, although there are both benefits and umpteen disadvantages, they do not exceed each other, but depend on the individual prerogative. Thus, such decisions should be carefully made, by evaluating individual and family benefits, values and aspirations.

The visitors should adopt and take up the customs and traditions of the country they are visiting

Traveling has become a ubiquitous phenomenon in contemporary times, raising a controversial question that whether those undertaking this endeavor should embrace native customs of host society, or should the latter welcome diversity. The following paragraphs will critically analyze this matter.

An army of people suggests that travelers should subscribe to customs of the destination society: this would help them explore native practices more closely as they would be accepted by locals without reluctance, creating a bonhomie between the two cultures and establishing a dialog that helps the former the experience the host society and its aspirations elaborately. Besides this, they would also be able to circumvent any possibilities of offending the natives by desecrating their conventions and beliefs.

However, the former view holds little substance in the concurrent era when the world is becoming highly globalized. This approach reflects a hostile attitude and is likely to fetch similar responses from other societies, thereby affecting the harmonious environment of the world. Those visiting a country are there to observe and experience the difference of traditions and rituals, but not to abandon their own.

Moreover, such an inhospitable attitude is bound to have a long lasting impact on tourism of the host country that will be extremely adverse. The affected visitors will carry home the negative opinions and spread them far and wide; consequently, the influx of the alien travelers will dramatically reduce, impacting not only the local employment in businesses that heavily rely on this trade and also the foreign exchange earnings.

Overall, disputes aside, the unfriendly approach towards foreign individuals entering a country for a short term is unwarranted; they should be afforded freedom to continue with their legal native practices. It will not only boost the reputation of destination countries but also promote tourism.

The world should have only one government rather than a national government for each country

In recent times, there has been an idea that uniform  governments could find social and economic benefits in collaborating with each other and removing the natural borders. This vision has forced many global leaders to ponder on the merits, demerits and efforts involved in joining forces together. This topic requires a deeper analysis.

A group of centralized policy makers can bring about significant positive changes to the way the world operates. In recent times, miscreants have found loopholes to escape the law and find refuge in countries without an extradition policy, which would be automatically eliminated with the arrival of a central order of command.

Moreover, many are in favor of a borderless world: a recent survey by the travel week magazine, showcased that the number one priority for people was for unity among policy makers to make it convenient to explore different continents. This would also lead to ease of trade between organizations and government bodies alike who do not have to go through additional red tape created by law makers today.

However, the critics feel that a unified world leadership may not provide adequate importance to certain minority communities and their respective needs will not be catered to in the long run and probably would lead to their existence being diminished. There is a fear among sections of various societies that it could lead to a few power-hungry leaders having excessive control over the world which could be detrimental to society in the future.

Overall, a united front for policy makers is a unique concept and the pros of this arrangement eclipse its cons. However, it is essential to  critically analyse  both the aspects, before embarking on the idea of uniting the world, by targeting greater good it would do for humanity at large.
