The most prominent challenge in migrating to a new country is the linguistic barrier that poses immense complications in various manifestations. Some accord with this notion, while others dissent.

A school of thought assumes that settling in an alien environment without the knowledge of local language affords several impediments: immigrants find it hard to settle down; they are unable to interact with peers, and cannot share their thoughts with friends, teachers and employers, adversely impacting their performance. Also, this endeavor makes it difficult to find a job; lack of compatibility with native tongues is usually deemed unwelcoming by the corporates. For instance, Quebec in Canada only accepts job applications from the aspirants who embrace the French language because the majority of the population is of French descent.

Moreover, this hurdle stimulates the imbroglio that impedes them from enjoying their basic needs like grocery shopping. To exemplify, a survey conducted in Russia revealed that sixty percent of the locals did not comprehend the worldwide accepted language: English, and promoted their language,  which  proved to be a stumbling block for new entrants to Russia, depriving them of opportunities to explore the new surroundings freely.

Nevertheless, the former view holds little relevance today when technological advancement has ushered a paradigm shift: facilities, like google translator, help interpret any language into the host dialect. These afford comfort and convenience to immigrants. Similarly, systems like google maps and GPS help people to navigate directions seamlessly, eliminating dependence on external intervention. Additionally,  those relocating to new environments enthusiastically prepare and accept different challenges that come their way.

To conclude, undeniably, there are several problems while migrating to societies using unfamiliar dialects, but technological evolution has aided in transcending difficulties posed by such endeavors, easing up the process of adapting to new environments.
