Today, humongous amounts of eatables are squandered by both domestic users and commercial enterprises. The following paragraph will delve profoundly into this aspect sharing the reason behind this, and measures that can be taken to handle this situation.

To commence with, during business meetings, family gatherings, and celebrations hosts order various cuisines to impress their guests, ignoring the fact that if not eaten,  most things will be disposed of into trash cans.  Furthermore, most of the desserts such as cake, pastries, and many more, are presented in different shapes to grab the attention of buyers due to which several unsold  pieces are thrown away. In a recent article, The Times Of India, states that more than thirty percent food is thrown away because they remain unsold, and later are spoiled.

Additionally, tempting offers are available in the market while purchasing groceries. To corroborate, offers such as buy one get two free, and so forth, push customers into buying more than needed, which are of  course  never used, and end up in garbage. As per a recent study by John Bravo, professor at University Of Melbourne, in Australia, more than fifty percent of edible products sold through alluring schemes are wasted.

Nonetheless, there are a myriad of measures available that can be embraced for resolving the problem: spreading awareness through campaigns and social media. To exemplify, audiences can be targeted with posts on platforms like facebook and instagram. Moreover,  regimes can pose a hefty penalty on those who trash uneaten items. Above all, food banks can be created to prevent squandering edible goods.

In conclusion, large amounts of food wastage can be reduced by increasing awareness as lack of knowledge is the reason behind this, and imposing fines on offenders, and donating it to the needy.

In concurrent times, people and businesses have seen disposing of a huge quantity of edible goods. This inclination is driven by numerous attributes, making it imperative to find suitable remedies to surmount this challenge.

To begin with, food advertisements luring customers to buy unnecessarily, rather than considering their actual needs. It has been noticed by various food conservationists that various food outlets like Dominos, KFC, Burger King, and so on, make their tv commercials tempting, showing lipsmaking delicacies, and use different style fonts, colors making one crave to engage with such goods. Besides this, they get bombarded by adverts everywhere, especially on Smartphones: they show special offers like buy one get one free, special food saver combos, weekend price lower than week days, leading to over buying, a majority of which  is trashed uneaten after being spoiled.

To overcome this predicament, the government should establish norms for broadcasting of commercials. They should impose strict guidelines, defining appropriate standards related to pricing, discount, and product, and if any organization fails to comply, they should be charged hefty penalties. Moreover, business owners can also take initiatives by restructuring the food policy of their premises: they can make sure every employee brings their own lunch; provide food outlets in the office canteen with only limited stock of supplies; and so forth. Additionally, business owners should take the initiative of educating employees about various food conservation drives, giving them a chance to contribute towards the cause.

In hindsight, people should avoid considering food choices by looking at adverts; it can pose a shortage in the long run, but those holding power to surmount this challenge should make sure that they fulfil their duty; they are the only ones who can lead a change.
