Undeniably, technological advancement has precipitated numerous state-of-the-art devices and methods of communicating, resulting in persuading many to abandon the traditional ways, but some posit that the conventional methods cannot be replaced. I would analyze both the sides of this argument profoundly and deliver a plausible verdict.

The introduction of gadgets comprising umpteen applications: Whatsapp, email, Instagram, Telegram, and many more, has afforded speed, and ease of use, to all while connecting  with their loved ones; this has proved to be a blessing for those residing away from home, for they can interact with their loved ones through phone calls, and messages without delay. However, using letters required humongous efforts to write first, and exhausted several days to reach the desired destination, resulting in stretching the process to several weeks if not months.

Additionally, now one does not have to have legible writing and also learn spellings, something that was a cause of trouble for many; software-assisted word processors can type any amount of words quickly, and also check spellings and grammar. Moreover, these apps have facilitated those suffering from impairment, allowing them to use voice or video calls, or even speech to text facilities, to communicate. 

Nevertheless, some assert that the ancient practice of writing letters cannot be discounted; this aids one in enhancing their linguistic abilities by virtue of scribbling words on the paper regularly, and working fingers to the bones to write the letters, attracts receivers to read these with focus, encouraging them to render well-thought replies. 

In hindsight, despite both the opinions holding true in their own virtue, the modern tools are beneficial; allowing communication quickly, and letting one forgo the hard work of writing and remembering words, so the up-to-date gadgets should be given more preference.

At the outset, an army of people vehemently professes that benefits fetched by this are overwhelming. For instance, telecommuting has allowed individuals to work flexibly from the comfort of their home, owing to this, one can now even serve in MNCs such as Microsoft, Google, and so on, without crossing(transcending) political boundaries. Besides this, rather than becoming part of chaos at market places, one can shop online from a myriad of choices at their disposal.

Similarly, many are now moving to other nations for jobs since they can now maintain contact with their kith and kin through online sources. This can be corroborated by citing the outcomes of a report published by The Hindustan Times, wherein they stated that the more and more professionals migrating to alien nations for employment worry less about their families as they find it easy to stay in touch with their loved ones. 

Nonetheless, this trend has invited a plethora of challenges. While this has hampered the growth of local enterprises, various individuals are exposed to a sedentary lifestyle since they have to sit in front of a 13 inch LED during their working hours. Other than that, it has also been observed that individuals are often bereft of essential qualities like confidence and communicating skills since they hardly interact with their peers and clients in the real world.

Overall, even though rich yields are afforded by this development, it is hard to overlook the detrimental aspects of the former. Therefore, despite being a favorable phenomenon, this arrangement should be adopted discreetly.

When it comes to communication, people have traditionally relied on both written form, as well as face to face meetings. However, it is often profoundly debated by different schools of thought whether one mode outshines the other.  

It is undeniable that man being a social animal has overwhelmingly relied on going over and meeting acquaintances, and discussing matters in person. This helps afford clarity and maintain cohesiveness, both in professional and social terms, in exchange of views and opinions. When people are seated in front of each other, they do not only use oral and verbal form but also non-verbal expressions to transmit their feelings and responses. A personal meeting aids in eliminating  ambiguity, and many a  times faster resolution of problems.

Moreover, meeting in person can cut down the time wasted in communication considerably. When people preside over in a meeting they experience an instant exchange of views. This spontaneity can rarely be had when individuals write emails, letters, blogs and articles to name a few. Since one does not have to wait for their counterparts to respond.

However, some vouch for the written form as a formidable means of communication.  Their opinion stems from the fact that whatever is transmitted in the form of texts can be recorded and retained permanently. In their view, agreements cannot be arrived upon unless ratified and endorsed in written or printed content. This is why most of the legal documents, contracts are printed on paper to make the claims and agreements valid. 

In hindsight, I partially concur with the given statement since both these mediums are used abundantly by everyone. Hence, it can be said, they complement each other rather than superseding.
