Some say that modern technology is giving people more time, while others think it is making them busier. Discuss both views and give your opinion. Discuss

Some feel that modern technology is giving people more time

  • People are saving time on various activities such as going shopping, paying bills, banking, communicating, cooking
  • Traveling,  by cars, trains, airplane
  • Conducting business is now quick, sending email, and communicating online. Advertising, closing deals
  • Attending classes from the comfort zones without needing to travel to institutions

Others think it is making them busier

  • Technology had expanded the scope of work, loading people with responsibilities
  • More and more interaction with others through technology has expanded the list of acquaintances and people take longer to interact with them

Proliferation of technology to every walk of life and its impact has evoked mixed reactions from various sections: some say that one has more free time at their disposal, others feel that this has made life more occupied than the past.

Undeniably, speed has become associated with every imaginable task one can do, be it sending communications - where they do not have to wait for weeks or months to receive replies from their counterparts, or be it traveling to far-off destinations - that was an arduous task in yesteryears when people spend days and week to finally arrive at their desired destinations. Now, one can communicate in matter of hours if not minutes, and also reach half way across the globe within a matter of 17 hours. This has helped make big savings on time.

Similarly, one does not need to spend half say committing themselves to fulfilling the task of paying bills, buying necessities or depositing or withdrawing money from banks since all these can be conveniently negotiated using online mediums from the comfort zones within a matter of a few minutes. People need to simply log on to portals like amazon to shop, use mobile phones to pay bills and use bank websites to remit money.

Nevertheless, some argue that they have less time than the past, by virtue of companies expanding their operational areas using online methods and loading their workers with an extra burden of responsibilities and jobs that take longer to complete. Most MNC organizations allocate additional overseas assignments to their personnel making them spend longer at their job.

To recapitulate, after assessing both the sides of the coin, it can be safely asserted(said) that technology has impacted human life in both ways. It has brought relief in some areas like cooking and traveling, but fetched  additional professional obligations along with.

Some people say that technology has decreased the time people spend on various tasks, while others say that this has loaded them with more work and it takes longer to finish it.

Some people think that robots are very important to human’s future development. Others think that they are dangerous and have negative effects on society. Discuss both views and give your opinion with relevant examples from your experience.

Owing to modernization, usage of robots and artificial intelligence have increased. This attracts different notions: some people oppose the usage of robots, while some believe that it will eventually lead to development. Thus, to provide a justified conclusion, it is imperative to analyse both the notions.

To commence, automation can provide solutions to the issue of repetition and can perform such tasks efficiently and effectively. Moreover, these new innovations can support individuals in performing  complex tasks effortlessly. For instance, AI  provides back to students in solving their mathematical problems without them needing to tax their brains.

Similarly, highly sophisticated machines are capable of performing tasks in hazardous environments where people find it difficult to reach and that too economically as the machines can be affordable and long lasting. In addition, these machines and innovations work with great precision. For instance, in the field of surgery they can operate with hand stability and can operate even on minutest organs.

However, these modern innovations are the greatest contributors to unemployment, which is causing poverty because these are economical, and easily surpass the need for manual work. In addition, high usage of automation in daily lives is reducing creativity, and is creating over dependence on technology, making humans forget their skills. For instance, use of these machines in writing and carrying out mathematical calculations has increased over time; consequently, people are losing their ability to write and count without the assistance of these devices.

In conclusion, I would say although automation and modern devices are going to prove to be quite beneficial in the long run, by contributing to the development, these must be used consciously and responsibly. Humans can derive higher productivity and avoid repercussions by utilizing these innovations responsibly.

In the digital era, retaining personally identifiable data has become central to modern services, ranging from online shopping to digital healthcare. While there are clear benefits associated with this practice, it also raises serious concerns about privacy and security. This essay shall examine whether this is more rewarding or jeopardizing.

To start with, one key advantage of holding personal information is improved efficiency, and personalization of services. Companies can analyze user data to offer tailored recommendations, faster customer support, and smoother digital experiences. For instance, online shopping platforms suggest products based on previous searches and purchases, which saves time and improves user satisfaction. Similarly, banks and financial apps monitor transaction patterns to detect fraud, protecting customers from financial loss. In healthcare, digital records allow doctors to access patient history instantly, leading to quicker diagnosis and better treatment. These examples show how responsible data usage can significantly enhance convenience and safety.

Nevertheless, despite these benefits, storing personal data also carries major risks. Data breaches and cyberattacks can expose sensitive information such as identity details or financial records. For example, several global social media platforms have experienced data leaks where millions of users' private details were compromised. Such incidents can lead to identity theft, financial fraud, and emotional distress. Moreover, excessive data collection reduces personal privacy, as individuals are often unaware of how their information is shared or sold. This lack of transparency creates mistrust and gives corporations disproportionate control over users’ personal lives.

In conclusion, storing personal information provides clear advantages in terms of convenience, personalization, and security. However, these benefits outweigh the disadvantages only when strict data protection laws, and ethical practices are enforced. Without proper safeguards, the risks to privacy and individual rights become too significant to ignore.

Many people think that the government should spend money to explore life in the outer space, while others think that it’s a waste of public money. Discuss both views and include your own opinion and examples.

Many people argue investments into space research should continue, while others consider it to be wasteful spending. This essay will discuss both views before presenting my perspective.

On one hand, investing in space exploration can help in advancing many technologies, such as weather forecasting systems, navigation tools and satellite communications. Furthermore, it can allow discovering resources like minerals that could be brought back to the earth and used by mankind. For example, heavenly bodies like the Moon are explored to discover essential minerals and materials like water and metals, to name a few, for this could be used back home.  Similarly, this could also help locate other habitable zones in the universe that could be settled by the populace, in case something goes wrong on the Earth due to nuclear war and environmental degradation. For example, Mars exploration is going on to find whether life can exist beyond Earth.

On the other hand, opponents contend that allocation of a vast sum of public money is difficult to justify as there are already preexisting socio-economic problems such as poverty, lack of healthcare facilities, infrastructure development, education, and so forth, which  demand immediate attention .Critics believe that instead of spending in space it is better to invest in improving standard of living and reduce inequality. Excessive government spending on space exploration may further deprive the already vulnerable communities of essential resources, exacerbating complications. For instance, instead of spending on space exploration, policy makers should invest into infrastructure, better educational institutions and healthcare facilities, which would directly benefit citizens.

In my view, although space exploration is very important for science and even technology advancement, it should not overshadow existing societal challenges. The state should follow a balanced approach between infusing funds into space programs and meeting public demands.

These days the personal information of many individuals is held by large internet companies and organisations. Do you think the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

In recent years, online platforms and organizations have increasingly resorted to retaining personal information of users. While there are certain benefits to this practice, I believe that the pitfalls exceed benefits due to concerns over privacy and potential misuse.

On the one hand, storing personal information can bring convenience and efficiency to users. For instance, companies, like Amazon or Netflix, track preferences of customers to render personalized recommendations, making shopping or entertainment more enjoyable. Similarly, online banking and digital payment platforms use the stored data to ensure secure transactions and prevent fraud. Likewise, in healthcare, hospitals storing patient records digitally allows doctors to access comprehensive medical histories, bolstering  diagnosis and treatment.

Having said that, the ramifications of this practice are significant. The most serious concern is the risk of data breaches. Personal information such as financial details, contact numbers, or health records can be stolen by hackers, leading to identity theft or financial loss. (example)

Additionally, companies may use these details for intrusive advertising, or even manipulate user behavior without consent. For example, scandals involving social media platforms misusing user data have shown that privacy individuals can be seriously compromised. Furthermore, the more personal data is collected, the greater the risk of surveillance and loss of personal freedom.

In conclusion, the benefits of the practice of data retention , such as convenience and efficiency, are eclipsed by the shortcomings related to security risks and privacy concerns. Proper regulation and ethical data handling are essential to minimize these risks.

Many companies now use artificial intelligence to make hiring decisions. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

Many companies now use artificial intelligence to make hiring decisions. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

Benefits

  • Time efficient
  • Cuts down on the time required to arrange for interviews, this can also be activated at a short notice
  • Mitigates traveling times required for interviewers and interviewees
  • Allow quick hiring
  •  Money efficient
  • Saves money of both the employers and the applicants, otherwise spent on arranging things and traveling to the venue
  • Lesser workload for administration
  • Candidates can appear for interviews in a relaxed environment
  • May help overcome bias
  • Can create records and prevent repetitive tasks
  • Make a better match of requirements and qualifications

Drawbacks

  • There is great likelihood of qualified candidates being rejected
  • Judging body language and facial expression is not possible for machines
  • Cannot judge emotional intelligence and resourcefulness of applicants
  • Lack human touch
  • Technical glitches and data theft

Although the advent of automation has made choosing the correct candidate for jobs convenient, there are some drawbacks of this system which cannot be overlooked. Therefore, it is imperative to evaluate whether the pros of this system exceed its cons.

Undeniably,  the self-driven system of talent acquisition has helped make things uncomplicated for recruiters as they are spared of the daunting tasks of planning interviews, arranging resources and venues, and creating a synchronization between different departments to allow a smooth flow of events. This up-to-date medium can perform all functions single-handedly without needing a special space for evaluating job applicants.

Nevertheless, despite this state-of-the art mechanism offering unprecedented convenience, its utility is extremely limited to selecting people for jobs that are straightforward; it is likely to misjudge the depth of experience of aspirants by virtue of operating on the basis of certain algorithms. To corroborate, surgeons and pilots can only be assessed on the basis of their successful surgeries and flying hours respectively with negligible errors and flaws.

Moreover, this medium is incapable of accurately examining soft and interpersonal skills because even the most advanced systems lack emotional intelligence, and thus, can never evaluate ability to communicate effectively, mental resilience, and persuasive acumen, the critical traits of capable professionals today. Several large hotel chains had to embrace the traditional system of interviewing prospective workers after the AI-assisted recruitment system failed to hire qualified people. These aspects assertively highlight that rewards offered by automated recruiting systems are scanty, while there are detriments galore.

In hindsight, notwithstanding the benefits  like the ease of operations, the AI-driven hiring process is severely restricted to selecting employees for simple tasks, by virtue of its inability to determine critical traits of job applicants; thus it should be used restrictively.

Some people think that robots are very important to human’s future development. Others think that they are dangerous and have negative effects on society. Discuss both views and give your opinion with relevant examples from your experience.

Some people think that robots are very important to human’s future development. Others think that they are dangerous and have negative effects on society. Discuss both views and give your opinion with relevant examples from your experience.

There is a general perception that robots will play a vital role in the future and  bring rich yields, while some believe that these will have detrimental impact on mankind.
On the effulgent side, autonomous machines hold several promises: they will save humans from hazardous circumstances such as working in locations that can present threat to life like in mines, nuclear plants, near volcanoes, underwater, and in areas plagued with infectious diseases. For example, these self-operated  equipment played a critical role during the Covid-19 pandemic, in terms of serving the patients in various parts of the world, in every possible way, including diagnosing the extent of infection, dispensing medicine to the ailing, in times when health professional were unable to actively take part, protecting their lives eventually. It can be ascertained that in the future, this apparatus will replace people in more and more jobs that carry hazards.

Moreover, some individuals also believe that these devices can  help doing multiple tasks and generate better outcomes while correcting the  errors automatically. Furthermore,  these machines can  aid in freeing people of tedious tasks like driving since they can do all the tasks without requiring any human involvement. Consequently, they will bring convenience.

Nevertheless, the other lobby is concerned and feels that automation will take away jobs, take unemployment to unimaginable levels, and impact the economies adversely, and force people to live in poverty.  More and more organizations will embrace these advanced technologies to speed-up the work, and replace workers with them, causing rampant joblessness among the unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled sections.

To conclude, although these devices have various drawbacks: pushing many out of jobs, affecting impoverished nations more profoundly, I personally believe that automated equipment will surely bring rich dividends, in the form of safety and convenience.

Some people think that robots are very important to human’s future development. Others think that they are dangerous and have negative effects on society. Discuss both views and give your opinion with relevant examples from your experience.

They are critical

  • These  machines can guarantee a long term solution for complex becoming work processes that need speed
  • Can perform repetitive tasks consistently
  • precision and uniformity: humans will need the work to be more precise since every sphere of human life is likely to become more sophisticated
  • Safety is what these machines can render to humans since these devices can even work in hazardous and those environment  which are beyond the reach of mankind
  • economical: these machines are capable of working without needing extra overheads

They are dangerous and have negative effects on society.

  • Unemployment. These are likely to cause large joblessness
  • Loss of skills: humans will forget their skills and abilities
  • They depend on an external power source and if that does not become available due to some reasons, humans will become helpless
  • These machines can be easily manipulated and hacked and used against humans

Some commentators believe that robots will have positive outcomes in the upcoming time by helping humans in several ways, whereas the other lobby dissents, and believes that these will have adverse effects. I will analyze both the views profoundly in the following paragraphs, and share a plausible conclusion.

Automated machines will play a pivotal role in the life of mankind as these will render quick service with accuracy. Such devices will require an informative command to start processing their work and complete their task seamlessly(smoothly), within the given time, keeping the accuracy on the top. By virtue of this, the life of the people will become convenient, as they will no longer be occupied with their daily regimes, and will have a solution to get it done without errors. To exemplify, a study by an eminent scientist professor Dr. Karl Of Capilano University, states that with the advent of technology, working women will be able to get time for themselves by assigning the duties to these self-operated devices, and get the output without hassles.

Nevertheless, the other lobby is quite skeptical, and professes that becoming dependent on these apparatus will expose human beings to unemployment; and make them lose their ability to work manually. For instance, an article published by a proficient author Mr. Malik, in the New York Times, claims that inclusion of technology in various areas  will create joblessness as businesses will prefer machines over humans. Moreover, people will stop using their skills, exposing themselves to serious challenges in case these intelligent machines become unavailable.

Overall, I vehemently feel that these electronic devices will make life of humans easy by removing the burden of performing monotonous tasks even though these might also create joblessness, but this can be overcome by reskilling workers.

Some people believe that artificial intelligence will replace most human jobs in the future, while others think it will create more opportunities than problems. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Some people believe that artificial intelligence will replace most human jobs in the future, while others think it will create more opportunities than problems. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The rapid proliferation of automation has ensued a fierce public discourse, with some suspect this shift causing joblessness, others contending it would usher in a brighter era with openings galore. This essay will discuss both the notions, and conclude with a well-reasoned opinion.

Some see the introduction of AI as a serious threat for humans across a cross-section of skills, especially the semi-skilled; they might lose their jobs and face impoverishment. This introduction, despite being a recent development, has evolved rapidly, leading to significant numbers being laid off. For example, a growing number of legal firms are embracing AI-driven applications, and have started relying on these innovative facilities for various tasks: drafting, vetting, and so forth, which was formerly handled by fresh law graduates, resulting in them becoming jobless

Nevertheless, artificial intelligence is laden with opportunities, rather than being a menace. Notwithstanding its ability to perform numerous tasks, this state-of-the-art technology fails to render real facts and figures, underpinning the need to deploy human intelligence on various positions. Additionally, several occupations view this self-driven application as an assistant for their employees, and not a replacement, as is the case in the field of medicine, where it aids in bolstering precision. For example, a number of surveys have shown that, organisations that encourage the usage of AI for a variety of tasks, have been able to engender a stress free and positive working culture, enhancing productivity.

In conclusion, although automation may supersede some skills, especially at lower levels of organizational hierarchy, it is bound to produce several advantages: bolstering efficiency and assisting employees with daily tasks, outshining the challenges it poses. Every new innovation receives the same response, populated by fear, but is gradually absorbed, so it is also expected to be accepted slowly but firmly.

These days the personal information of many individuals is held by large internet companies and organisations. Do you think the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Does retention of details of users by internet service providers and large organizations carry more benefits or drawbacks, is a matter that evokes mixed responses. However, I uphold the  view that this policy is more rewarding, provided appropriate safeguards are embraced to ensure user safety.

This procedure can save immense time, otherwise wasted in sharing details again. Most portals require one to provide details: name and the date of birth, to name a few, and once the information is submitted, it is saved in the permanent database, helping save humongous time and energy, and allowing one to proceed ahead and complete their task quickly, especially while seeking healthcare services or interacting with government schemes.

Moreover, this system allows governments to create and maintain the profiles of their citizens, and regulate and monitor, or extend them relief when required. To exemplify, authorities in various countries in the western hemisphere follow this practice and afford monetary and healthcare assistance to the inhabitants, particularly the elderly, whenever and wherever required.

Nonetheless, this system has an inherent detriment: privacy concerns. The personal information becomes vulnerable to unsolicited access, and users might become victims of cybercrime and scams. There has been a spike in incidence of frauds, wherein cyber criminals steal profiles and money, leaving victims helpless. To corroborate, in India, a significant number of online scams are registered every year due to personal data leaks, especially in the case of financial transactions carried out using payment apps.

To encapsulate, the pros of the policy of private data retention are numerous: it can prove to be time and effort efficient, and exceed the complications. However, the justified concerns about probable online frauds, like getting unwanted messages and calls should be addressed by concerned establishments, to ensure enhancing the browsing experience.

Nowadays most information is available online, whereas in the past knowledge used to be stored in books and on paper. Do you think the advantages of this situation outweigh its disadvantages?

Nowadays most information is available online, whereas in the past knowledge used to be stored in books and on paper. Do you think the advantages of this situation outweigh its disadvantages?

In this modern era, there is a greater reliance  on virtual means to gather and retain information, while in the past, printed materials used to serve this purpose. This essay shall discuss merits and demerits of this shift and assess whether the former outstrips the latter.

It is evident that the information available online is  easily accessible and one can retrieve it in any part of the world with reliable resources: mobile, laptops and so forth. To corroborate, if one likes a Shakespeare novel, they do not need to carry printed material anymore; they can view and read the needed content on their phones while journeying  to work, and so forth, without needing to carry a burden along. Moreover, those traveling can forgo paper maps; they have a modern version of GPS-driven maps installed in their phones which can help them during their journey.

However, it is also true that the information stored in printed form is the most reliable source, and hard to replace; data available on websites can be hacked and manipulated. Similarly, the virtual medium heavily relies on electricity, network and tech literacy, and if one does not have these at their disposal, they cannot store, recover and peruse material. For instance, one could fetch details from online resources only when their devices have enough power to function, besides having network availability, otherwise it is impossible to get information, whereas this is not the case with books. Nevertheless, these complications can be surmounted through prudent steps.

In hindsight, there is little iota of doubt that the technology has helped eliminate human drudgery by allowing one to save, retain and retrieve data conveniently, and despite posing some limitations, this state-of-the-art facility can prove to be sustainable. Thus, its advantages overweigh its disadvantages.

The use of CCTV (close circuit television) cameras in streets, stations, shops and other public places has increased rapidly in recent years. Although we are told that these cameras help in the fight against crime, some people are opposed to their use, they believe that everyone has a right to privacy. (serve more as an invasion of our privacy than as a protection of our safety). To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The use of CCTV (close circuit television) cameras in streets, stations, shops and other public places has increased rapidly in recent years. Although we are told that these cameras help in the fight against crime, some people are opposed to their use, they believe that everyone has a right to privacy. (serve more as an invasion of our privacy than as a protection of our safety). To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Technology is evolving day-by-day for ensuring the safety of people, and CCTV cameras are one of those tools being used in public spaces even though many resent using these devices, for they allege these encroach their privacy. This essay will discuss both the views and come to a plausible conclusion.

On the one hand, undeniably closed circuit cameras are a great surveillance equipment, many believe that constant monitoring disrupts normal movement and many feel uncomfortable while performing their daily activity. Moreover, some of the CCTV footage recording could be misused by hackers at multiple platforms, most of which are used on social media. Nowadays, many are worried that they might become victims of unsolicited demands if the recordings are leaked, affecting their public persona, and costing them money.

On the other hand, these innovative machines play an important role in affording safety and security; these render an effective way to find evidence related to crime scenes, such as murder, theft, assault, eve-teasing, vandalism, and so forth. These act as a backbone for the law enforcement agencies in combating and controlling offences, and also extending safety to people, especially on roads.  To exemplify, installation of CCTV cameras at traffic signals has reduced the instances of traffic infringements as traffic control centers are able to detect the vehicle number and penalize those breaking the rules.

To conclude, I believe objections being raised by the skeptical lobby are lacking in substance: even though public domains are meant for the free moment at large, making sure that these spaces should render a safe and secure experience to all, and this monitoring  apparatus is pivotal to that goal. Thus, I completely disapprove of any reservations against this innovation.

In the future, people may no longer be able to pay for things in shops using cash. All payments may have to be made by card or using phones. Do you think this will happen one day? Why do you think some people might not be happy to give up using cash?

In the future, people may no longer be able to pay for things in shops using cash. All payments may have to be made by card or using phones. Do you think this will happen one day? Why do you think some people might not be happy to give up using cash?

As the world is progressing, digital payment methods are anticipated to supersede conventional methods of transacting, but there will still be some continuing with the old mediums of negotiating monetary obligations.

To start with, a lobby propounds that online payments are easy and convenient to use. This is to say, one can remit money just by clicking a button on their smartphones while sitting at their homes, eliminating the tedious task of visiting ATMs. Moreover, due to the advent of these means, the relief from the cumbersome task of carrying bulky wallets is encouraging many to use e-transactions.

Similarly, this prediction is also bolstered by the young generation being more technologically oriented, and  increasingly making use of this innovative practice to shop in brick and mortar stores, or online, order food, pay bills, and so forth, without needing to plan their everyday budget. Apart from that,  several rewards such as cash back, and many offer, is helping make the virtual means of transacting ubiquitous.

Having said that, many, especially the elderly,  are likely to stay wedded to the idea of using ancient ways, and be wary of virtual payments since they might not be tech savvy enough to use modern tools. Additionally,  some will continue not to trust this new introduction; they will fear that their money might get stolen, helping paper-based retain its popularity. For example, a recent survey revealed that due to the rapid rise in cyber crimes, many continue to use cash even in the digital age.

In conclusion, I profoundly believe that paying digitally will be in fashion, but the traditional channel will surely endure and cannot be written off. Saying that people might switch completely to modern financial devices is a far-fetched idea.

We have long imagined the possibility that life exists on other planets. Do you believe that there is life in the universe outside the earth? What would be the implications of proving that alien life exists? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge and experience.

We have long imagined the possibility that life exists on other planets. Do you believe that there is life in the universe outside the earth? What would be the implications of proving that alien life exists? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge and experience.

Do you believe?

Yes? Why

  • Assumption: out of the billion stars, some might be having  planets revolving around them and that might be having life-supporting conditions.
  • Recent revelations made by probes sent on Mars have proven that outer space can support life,  and thus it is only a matter of time that some other places will be located soon.
  • Unsolicited and unproven sightings of UFOs hold some concrete background: one can hallucinate, but not in all cases

No? Why

  • There is absolutely no/little  chance of life being located on other planets: till now all the claims of UFO sightings have been overruled
  • Even after sending probes to other parts of solar system,  gazing in the universe, trying to catch radio signal from other planets have yielded little.

Implications

  • This could result in some positive outcomes, if life supporting conditions on other planets were found, humans would have other places to populate in the space
  • The resources of those locations could be tapped
  • Humanity may stumble across a much advanced and intelligent civilisation that could help resolve the severe challenges being faced currently on the earth.

Negative

  • As many fear, based on the opinions created by sci-fi movies that alien life may not be friendly and might eliminate humanity
  • In reality, even if life if life is found, humans are unlikely to gain anything from that: there is an absence of technology that can enable speedy space travel, but it will surely cost several arms  and legs if such endeavors are continued

It is highly unlikely that the human race is the only occupant of such a vast universe, and it is simply a matter of time when such discovery will be actually  made. This aspect will be elucidated in the following paragraphs along with the benefits this knowledge will fetch.

To commence with, the prospects of stumbling upon life forms beyond the realms of the earth are quite high, and augmented/supported by unofficial reports of UFO sightings even though  scientists are cautious/circumspect about admitting these incidents as real. However, they themselves are quite optimistic about being able to find aliens on one of the millions of the planets revolving around their stars, and having hospitable conditions. In 2024, the Hubble telescope revealed in one of its explorations that there were at least 300 planets that housed a similar environment to that of the blue planet.

This discernment/enlightenment could prove to be rewarding for mankind; it would become possible to find alternative locations in the heavens that could be populated by shifting some inhabitants to those areas, easing the burden on resources back home. Similarly, the materials and minerals found on those heavenly bodies could be brought back for the consumption by earthlings.

Moreover, the experts also propose that this endeavour could also precipitate a meaningful interaction between humans and extraterrestrial civilizations, wherein the latter the virtue of being highly advanced, could pass on the knowledge of surmounting challenges posed by exhaustion of natural resources, pollution, and nuclear holocaust/destruction caused by atomic wars.

In hindsight, the optimism propelling space research undertakings are guided by the belief that there are other places harbouring life, and this enlightenment will surely afford panacea for the myriad challenges facing the inhabitant of the earth.

Some people say that now we can see films on our phones or tablets and there is no need to go to the cinema. Others say that to be fully enjoyed, films need to be seen in a cinema. Discuss both these views and give your own opinions.

Some people say that now we can see films on our phones or tablets and there is no need to go to the cinema. Others say that to be fully enjoyed, films need to be seen in a cinema. Discuss both these views and give your own opinions.

The advent of modern technology has made entertainment  portable; consequently, many believe movies can be watched on hand-held devices, eliminating the need to go to the movie theaters, while others believe that the latter cannot be forgotten. This essay will discuss both sides and share a plausible opinion.

To start with, a lobby asserts that equipment such as mobiles, have made it convenient for users to watch movies on them. One can simply click a button on their screen, while being in the comfort of their homes and enjoy their favourite motion pictures at any time of the day. Moveover, many OTT platforms, commonly available on small internet-assisted apparatus,  charge nominal subscription fees, making it affordable to watch content of any genre through a single application. While this is not the case going to the cinema, where tickets are exorbitantly priced, and for one ticket, there will be only one movie.

Having said that, some still uphold the idea of visiting a cinema hall: it is a therapy for many. In other words, such activities aid in eliminating stress, help earn relaxation and rejuvenate the mind. Additionally, state-of-the-art theaters let their clients obtain  memorable, life-like and thrilling experiences: mesmerising surround sounds, rotating chairs, in-house dining services, and many more, making the most when seeing a movie. For example, in Japan, movie halls are equipped with high-tech acoustics and best-in-class seats to turn the experience of watching a movie into a nostalgic memory. .

To conclude, disputes apart, watching films on mobile phones render convenience and affordability, whereas, cinema halls are equipped with the up-to-date technology to enhance movie experience. I believe both the endeavours have their own benefits and one can choose according to their needs since both offer distinct facilities.

In this modern era, personal data is retained by businesses and internet-based platforms. This practice makes things convenient and easily accessible, but it raises serious concerns about privacy and heightened probability of scams. The following paragraphs will discuss pros and cons and decide whether the former outstrip the latter.

The major advantage of this practice is that data collection allows companies like Facebook, Instagram and Google to personalize the individual interests: entertainment, jobs, shopping, and so forth, and then show them appopriate information as per their choices, or recommendation, saving users hours and making  online experience more convenient. Moreover, in health care settings like hospitals, Labs, nursing homes the preserved data is used in case of emergencies that can help save lives. For instance, as per a report published in Toronto General Newspaper in December 2025, that the life of an ailing was saved when their hemoglobin was reported critically low: they had a history of such complications. The medical caregivers informed the family, and the patient was immediately shifted to the hospital preventing the latter from going into a shock.

However, the personal information is prone to be leaked or misused, which can lead to serious stressful conditions. People,  nowadays, use social media, cloud storage and online banking and  upload their personal photos, addresses and financial information, and when these platforms suffer breaches, individuals may also face harassment, or mental stress. For instance, as per The London Times, in 2022, over 5000 individuals faced depression as their personal photographs went viral in a cyber breach.

In hindsight, despite offering some benefits, this arrangement carries more demerits, for it can cause immense loss to those browsing the internet, and make them suffer financially and mentally, affecting their well-being.

Many people feel that students should learn from online materials, while others feel that it is better to use printed materials. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Many people feel that students should learn from online materials, while others feel that it is better to use printed materials.
Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

The great public discourse of contemporary times is aligned with a dilemma: one should learn from digital content, while others voice their dissent and prefer printed resources. This essay will discuss both sides and share a plausible insight.

Technologists believe that one does not have to spend a penny in order to get the information as it is free,  persuading many to use this medium to study, especially students. Moreover, electronic information is available at the click of a button, and in the comfort of their homes,  rather than drowning themselves in the heavy unmanageable books. This is to say, one does not have to leave their haven, and just by pressing a button on their mobile screen, one can access material to bolster their academic pursuits. For example, in Japan, many learners prepare for exams with the help of e-portals, making it convenient for them to study since colossal inputs are available conveniently without needing one to browse through the pages of unexciting conventional paper-based material.

However, abandoning conventional material altogether could prove to be a recipe for disaster, for using this age-old method has been pivotal in fostering exploratory skills among young minds: they must pursue the whole content while searching for the relevant context, whereas the modern methods do render an ease of access, they also impede development of this critical trait, besides making one lose their ability to concentrate for long: studies have reported that youngsters admitting shortening of attention spans owing to use of soft copies of books and animations.

In conclusion, considering the aforementioned views, I believe that both kinds of resources offer benefits, but letting the state-of-the-art mediums supersede the traditional material would not be in benefit of education, and thus, using a blend of both is recommended.

We are becoming increasingly dependent on computers. They are used in business, crime detection and even to fly planes. What things will they be used for in future? Is this dependence on computers a good thing or should we be more suspicious of their benefits?

Undoubtedly, in the contemporary world, information technology has become an integral part of life, and every sphere of life has been captured by its diverse tools. In this essay, I will shed some light on future use of this innovation and also,  discuss the positive and negative aspects of its overwhelming influence.

To start with, if observed closely automation has the capacity to do wonders in making their life more convenient. The time is not far when computational power will be utilized for driving the cars, doing the hazardous work where people are unable to reach, taking up combat roles in wars and guarding borders, helping in household chores, managing front and backend operations in offices, and replacing customer care representatives,  to name a few.

Excessive reliance  on these devices is worth praising because of numerous benefits afforded by these. This idea has made life easier by negotiating tedious office work efficiently, and with precision.  One command is enough to deliver errorless outcomes. Similarly, giving interviews and working from remote locations has made it easier for professionals. Above all, people can now connect with their friends and families living in distant locations.

Having said that, the skeptics profess that this can make humans vulnerable to losing and unlearning their skills and abilities, exposing them to crisis if this equipment becomes unavailable due to some reason. Similarly,  unemployment is another peril facing society because AI-assisted systems are likely to replace people in almost all the jobs, resulting in unemployment, and eventually, impoverishment. .

To sum up, the use of these modern intelligent gizmos is going to penetrate further in various domains,  and the merits of this trend exceed its pitfalls  even though caution must  be exercised to offset the drawbacks resulting out from reliance on these machines.

Concurrent times have been a witness to rising dependence of business on high-tech gadgets, altering the entire procedure of performing tasks. This essay will discuss the phenomenon of how innovation has transformed work culture along with pitfalls of indiscriminate leaning towards newly introduced methods.

To begin with, availability of sophisticated gadgets in offices, workshops and factories   affords umpteen benefits; these have ushered in a great relief to personnel as, now, they are performing smart work by providing commands to robots such that tasks are achieved effectively and quickly. Such situations are witnessed in warehouses, especially where automated machines are moving the bulky load, with little human intervention; consequently, mitigating the stress of negotiating onerous jobs. Moreover, undeniably, recent technological interventions have also helped ensure safety and security at work since now machines are being used in negotiating the tasks that are fraught with hazards, thereby helping evade  fatalities to which workers were vulnerable to in the not so distant past.

However, despite affording certain benefits, this change has resulted in downsides. Counting completely on this, although state-of-the-art and affording unprecedented convenience,   unconventional phenomenon is persuading sedentary lifestyles that are causing diseases such as metabolic syndrome, obesity, stroke and many more. Moreover, lack of job security brought in by this revolution is a prominent drawback since automation and artificial intelligence have superseded human labor. As per researchers, the majority of jobs globally have been taken over by self-propelled machines and this arrangement is bound to become ubiquitous in future, which is likely to give rise to joblessness and hence trigger poverty.

In hindsight, businesses are embracing  technology as it provides fruitful outcomes along with comfort. Nevertheless, too much dependence on it is likely to prove counterproductive as many will be prone to lifestyle ailments and unemployment.

Nowadays most information is available online, whereas in the past knowledge used to be stored in books and on paper. Do you think the advantages of this situation outweigh its disadvantages?

Today, one can explore the internet to study or gain knowledge, while in yesteryears they had  to peruse books and paper.  This scenario has its own benefits and problems, but whether the former eclipses the latter is a matter that needs a profound analysis.

Data being available online has its own advantages, like at one click one can get information: searching for a place to go, looking for upcoming events,  deriving study material and many more. This helps one manage their day-to-day routine and works differently for different people. Furthermore, it helps students to learn and study easily: they can find information online conveniently without needing to carry or browse through heavy paper-based material, saving them time and effort.

Similarly, this arrangement is extremely ecologically sustainable: the  advent of the internet-based platforms and portals has ushered in a paper-less era, wherein every organization is shifting from physical material to virtual one. Consequently,  the felling of trees for manufacturing paper has mitigated to a great extent, allowing rewilding of denuded areas. To corroborate, as per the European Environment Agency, countries like Switzerland, Germany  and France have been able to restore forests due to fall in demand for paper in recent years.

However, one does encounter certain challenges while relying on the information available online. It is many times not authentic - by virtue of being unsolicited - and thus, often misleading and unreliable. Likewise, there are chances of redundant inputs - that might be too old to be relevant - being supplied to the information seekers, exposing them to unwarranted situations.

To conclude, storing and deriving information from online sources can be beneficial and does afford greater merits than pitfalls by virtue of being a convenient and environmentally friendly method: its utility can be optimized provided one uses it prudently.
