Some say that colossal investments are being made into commemorating personal and social occasions. This notion needs to be critically analyzed.

Those vouching for this notion bolster it with the plausible reasons, and profess this propensity is quite conspicuous today by virtue of most braving an extremely hectic daily schedule where they are constantly embroiled in meeting professional, familial and social obligations, leaving them with little time to rejoice with their loved ones. Thus, they use every event, regardless of its actual significance, to create nostalgic memories where they enjoy the closeness of their family members. Some even use these moments as an opportunity to reunite with their extended families comprising cousins and relatives; most are living in nuclear family settings, a new normal of modern society.

Moreover, many also cite the perennial competition among peers and close relations, in which everyone is greatly inclined to flaunt their wealth and elite status. A survey conducted in the USA by Professor Sarika Dua, MIT, bolsters this aspect: it revealed that almost eighty percent of respondents said that they organized lavish parties even on their promotion to prove that they were as prosperous as their counterparts in various social strata.

Nevertheless, the other school of thought denies the former opinion, even though their view is lacking in substance, and propounds that ever since humans appeared on this planet, they have celebrated all their personal and social events enthusiastically. The only thing that has changed is that the cost of celebration has spiked due to inflation, making events look lavish.

Overall, disputes aside, I concur with this statement and feel that organizing extravagant events to commemorate even non-significant occasions is in vogue: people are driven by desire to enjoy the few moments they have at their disposal.

Nowadays many people with families leave their country to work abroad.

Contemporary times are witnessing an outward movement of individuals, often leaving their families behind, to the other countries in search of greener pastures. This makes it imperative to analyse whether this phenomenon influences families positively or negatively.

Immigrating  to access employment opportunities often brings in a major benefit in the form of appropriately compensated employment which also helps individuals fulfil their desire of working in environments they crave for. This, consequently, lays abundant financial resources at the disposal of the family members who can use these to afford better education and other facilities, improving their quality of life. Moreover, when people working in foreign countries are professionally satisfied, they tend to interact more positively with their nears and dears back home, letting a happy environment pervade in the family.

Similarly, young members of such families, especially children, are able to capitalise on the exposure gained by their kin employed abroad and use the knowledge not only to broaden The perspective about the world but also explore the opportunities for better education and jobs for themselves. This can be corroborated by citing several studies, which have revealed that kith and kin of those working in other nations tend to access global academic and employment opportunities more effectively.

Nevertheless, the only predicament such an evolution can cause is a sense of alienation between family members and individuals working overseas, particularly the youngsters, tend to lose their emotional connection with those living and working in other parts of the world. This might affect relationships in the long run and never let members of a family mingle easily.

Overall, despite the communication gap developing between migrant workers and their families, such migration for the sake of work fetches humongous advantages. Thus, the positives of this evolution exceed the negatives.

Most people try to balance between work and other parts of lives. nfortunately, not many achieve this delicate balance. What are the main problems people facing and what is the best way to overcome this.

Most people try to balance between work and other parts of lives. Unfortunately, not many achieve this delicate balance. What are the main problems people facing and what is the best way to overcome this.

One of the most challenging aspects of the current century is the difficulty in keeping the right balance between work and life. Most are seen struggling to achieve this parity. There are several reasons and associated problems with this, but can be  overcome with prudent strategies.

In the competitive business environment, it is extremely tough to survive if one is less ambitious; thus, one tends to spend more time at the workplace, especially due to reforms in the education sector, where a new generation enters into the corporate world with higher grades and good educational qualifications. This creates a threat among existing workers that in case of poor performance they can easily be replaced with young talent. Such competition restricts one from taking out time for other things in life. Also, it is generally witnessed that middle aged workers prefer to learn new technologies in their free time rather than spending time with families to secure their position in the market. This is leading o stress and strained family relationships.

Nevertheless,  this challenge can be  overcome though not easily, but one must attempt limiting intervention of professional aspirations in their personal lives: they must not take their work home, and  their home to work. Companies should also step forward by defining definite working  hours to render a healthy balance to their staff. Moreover, setting certain parameters to control the workload and creating awareness regarding the drawbacks of excessive working can help in controlling the adverse effects.

To conclude, one should restrict bringing work home until it is not of paramount importance. Also, priority is the key to achieve the right work-life balance, and having realistic goals and ambitions rather than  superfluous ones is equally important.

Some people think job not only provides income but also a social life. Others think social life should not be developed with the people at work. Discuss both views and give your opinion with relevant examples.

Everyone works to earn their living spending many hours with colleagues daily, which also creates relationships and connections. Some believe it is healthy to have friends at work, while others feel otherwise.

Workplaces run on goals and competencies which include interpersonal skills and team spirit hat encourage establishing strong relations and networks. Employers like AON and Google have seen massive advantages with an intricately connected staff, creating a highly engaged workforce that has helped reduce communication gaps and deliver efficiency since such workforce produces best results enthusiastically. This further fosters a staff-friendly environment for incumbents and aids in their long-term retention. Having a friend at work also reinforces a feeling of comfort for individuals: they can lean on such ties during challenging times.

On the contrary, this also has a potential to open a Pandora’s box: mass absenteeism being a common concern that can cause delay in work, and others getting influenced to follow precedents.  It also creates probabilities of confidentiality breach and conflict of interest with colleagues: extending favors and rewards to friends disregarding the merit. Possibilities of multiple workers exiting the organization together also becomes high. A recent instance was noted when a group of employees from a large BPO Company in Gurugram, recommended their friends for new roles with another organization, costing their current employers a good efficient workforce. Personal relations at work also exposes personal lives, as wittingly or unwittingly, a friend may let the secrets out, inviting unwarranted gossip in office, sometimes causing irreversible reputation damage.

Overall, jobs are not just monotonous means of income but are also a source of social connections; however, there must be a balance between both professional and personal relations to avoid conflicts and any adverse impacts on self and the organization.

Nowadays people are spending too much money to celebrate personal and family events such as weddings, birthdays and so on. Do you agree or disagree with the statement? Give your opinion and examples?

Celebrations render moments to make memories with friends, as well as relatives and cherish them for a lifetime. There is a lobby that believes these days extravagant parties, get-togethers, and so on, are in vogue. This essay will justify the rationale behind their perspective and discuss that of others.

In the contemporary era, people are busy with their hectic schedules. Due to which they do not get adequate time to spend with their loved ones. Whenever they get an opportunity to come together on special occasions, they try to make it memorable by spending lavishly on everything, from a wide array of food to trending decoration and so on. Moreover, Nowadays, this craving is inspired by the festivities organised by celebrities and many tend to emulate them.

Furthermore, some people like to flaunt every happy moment of their lives, especially in the era dominated by social media. They believe this practice elevates their prestige in society. Moreover, in yesteryears, by keeping in mind the unforeseen downturns, people believed in saving funds for their future; however, individuals of this era live in the present without giving a thought about the future and end up spending extravagantly.

However, the young generation is well aware of all the wastage of food and various other items in the events and its detrimental effects on the environment. To convey the message of sustainability, they rather organise events in a greener way thereby, saving funds which they further utilise in the welfare of the society by helping the needy and alleviating the world-wide concern of poverty.

To reiterate, despite some modest ways of celebrating by the young people, a majority of individuals squander money in a great amount on the occasions. Hence, I concur with the statement.

The most effective way to solve traffic and transport problems in the cities is to encourage people from suburbs or the countryside to live in the cities

Will shifting the population from the country and outer-fringes of the cities to the urban locations help in easing up the predicament of high traffic density, and challenges faced in transportation. Many have hailed this proposal, others deride it and term it as impractical.

Many advocate implementing this idea and feel it could bring a sea change in  the way people live in urban societies. This view is primarily based on the assumption that the majority of motorists and public modes of transit that ply / use the city roads hail from areas lying outside the municipal limits of the urban locations. Those  entering and leaving the cities must brave long travel and distance every day. If these people were made to dwell in the same urban locations, they would be spared of covering long distances every day. Also, many may feel encouraged to switch to public modes of transit like buses and metro trains if their homes and workplaces lie in close proximity to each other. This would surely help in thinning the traffic.

Having said that, the ground realities of the urban settings and the traffic issues these areas face are far more complicated than this idea proposes, which is too simplistic. On delving deeper into the migration of urbanites to the outskirts and distant locations, one can easily arrive at the conclusion that the source of this outward movement has been the intense congestion caused by the dense in-city traffic, due to which the vehicles roll at a snail’s pace. So how could shifting people back into the cities help surmount this challenge.

Hence, this proposal lacks substance and will create chaos instead of fetching a long term mechanism to resolve the mess that plagues urban life, the unbearable yet in-escapable traffic snarls that urbanites encounter on a daily basis.
