Apart from that, it is also the best exercise for weight loss: many use it as a medium to support their dance exercise routines.

Some advocate the importance of native music; it is a symbol of local culture and heritage, which helps one to connect to their roots and know more about their traditions. A survey conducted in California University revealed that 40% of young generations sourced their knowledge about their rituals and ways of life from this form of art only either by listening, or by watching the content supporting it.

Nevertheless, some assert that universal music has been gaining traction due to technological advancements. It allows people to experience diverse types, and acts as a platform for bringing disparate ethnicities together, fostering a sense of belongingness to global ways of life and aspirations, helping build harmony by inspiring the global populace to sport a uniform expression rather than distinctiveness.

In concurrent times, music plays a pivotal role among individuals. Indeed, there are many distinct types of music such as rock, pop-music and traditional, to name a few. In this essay , I will discuss why one needs music and is native genre is more valuable than global music.

Undeniably, music is considered to be the language of the soul which one can associate with and express their personal emotions with. Similarly, this form of art is considered as the best way for one to relax and also sustain temperaments. In recent studies, it has been witnessed by scholars from MIT, department of music and human behaviour, who reported that those who listen to music have 10 times more patience than others who do not. 

As far as comparing the relevance of local and global genres, the former draws in support from conservatives. The world is populated by disparate cultures and traditions. It has been said by many individuals that native  music has its own and unique identity to mirror endemic cultures and customs, and those listening to their folk genre assert that this renders them a sense of belongingness to their region. 

On the face of it, a few commentators who corroborate that in the modern era, transnational music is an emerging phenomena, indeed, this type helps such individual to not only overcome depression but is also a fad in clubs and birthdays parties, and a few individuals use it as a method to energize themselves for various activities such as while working out at gyms.

International Music Vs Traditional Music 

Music has been an integral part of social and cultural aspirations since time unknown. Nothing much in this form of art has changed except that the styles have undergone a transformation. Today in globalized village, various,  international forms of music are in vogue  which has tempted some people to believe that local music is of no relevance in this scenario though there are people who believe otherwise.

Music is said to originate from the inner soul of humans and it sometimes helps in conveying direct and sometimes subtle hints about the seasons, feelings, moods and aspirations. Since ages humans have been singing, playing and listening to melodies in different forms all across the world to express joy, sadness, reluctance, anger and even seductive moods. Likewise, every region has its own specific music style and genre.

Nowadays, a new development seems to have influenced  this form art substantially as with advent of the globalization, more and more people have started swaying to the notes of international music forms like Jazz and Pop. Some people have started feeling that this era has no place for folk music as the global brotherhood makes local notes irrelevant and useless. As per them the use of local music highlights diversity which further nurtures tribal attitudes and bias among people.

However, some sections of society strongly feel that traditional and folk music of every region is the soul of local culture, and is laden with endless and depthless wisdom. Local notes also depict the way of thinking of natives playing them. Abandoning the region specific music would cause a major loss; all the connected content and relevant cognitive content would also be erased forever. 

To conclude, even though music in every manifestation enjoys a great relevance, I feel that traditional music can never be abandoned, for it represents the soul of a culture.
