Some people think that parents should teach their children about the importance of recycling, while others think it should be taught in school. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Why Schools

  1. Schools can handle such important areas very carefully and effectively - by designing appropriate courseware, arranging resources like faculty and teaching about technical aspects of this process - which will help convince young minds about the relevance of this process.

  2. Schools are vested/ given with the obligation /duty  of polishing the personalities of children - recycling is likely to become an important trait of personalities of rational adults, it should be fostered during formative years.

  3. They learn better in a formal environment, among their peers, and also grab the content clearly which is retained longer

Why Parents

  1. Parents are role models for their wards and the latter follow the footsteps and precedents set by the former without questioning: What parents will do will automatically be grasped by the latter.

  2. This skills is better learnt in practical environment and this can be rendered easily by families

  3. Adding one more subject to curriculum will be useless as environmental engineering and geography are already taught in schools

  4. This will impose an unnecessary burden on tender minds, and will be deprived of any free time left with them

When it comes to preparing the young generation to embrace recycling:a pivotal component of environment protection, society finds itself at poles by deciding about who should take the onus of this task, families or formal tuition. I feel this process enjoys monumental significance, and thus, should be a joint responsibility.

The view of the section rallying behind schools donning the mantle about disseminating knowledge about reprocessing household waste and redundant goods, hinges on the fact that these institutions play a dominant role in carving the overall personality  of youngsters, helping them grow up as rational and well-informed adults, empathetic towards the surroundings, and since this endeavor is a vital element of any plans aimed that sustaining the planet that also require individual intervention, education about this subject should be imparted in classrooms during formative years.

Similarly, these establishments boast of versatile expertise, and experience,  in designing curriculum and (ancillary) support activities to ensure the effective delivery of content related to such complex and critical topics, and also monitor how well young people have been able to absorb the knowledge by testing the latter, through written and practical exams. Thus, they should take ownership in this undertaking.

Nevertheless, mothers and fathers cannot escape (circumvent) this obligation since they are the role models for their wards: the latter have profound (unflinching)  trust on the former and  tend to follow the precedents without questions and reluctance. To corroborate, if elders of the family abstain from imprudent practices like wasting food, electricity and money, the young ones also emulate such habits.

In hindsight, the burden of negotiating such an essential task cannot be vested on one party, owing to the importance it carries for the planet, as well as mankind: concerted efforts would produce an enlightened future generation.

In contemporary times, many believe it is necessary to teach youngsters about the significance of recycling. A sizable lobby feels it must be taught by parents. However, many think it should be taught in schools.

To embark upon the discussion, parents are the role models of their wards  and the latter tend to follow their footsteps without questioning; anything the parents do is grasped immediately. Additionally, the skill cannot be developed by reading books; rather it is better learnt in a practical environment where mothers and fathers provide realistic examples to their children. Hence, many feel it is the duty of families to teach their young ones about the importance of this process.

On the flip side, others feel that schools should be responsible to impart such knowledge. Educational institutions have adequate facilities to create an environment to provide children with any kind of skills. They can create curriculum and schedule separate periods for such activities; faculties can be assigned to teach the young ones about such a process. Moreover, formal tuition is vested with the obligation of polishing the personalities of the young individuals; in the near future, recycling is likely to become an essential part of the personalities of the rational adults and thus, it should be fostered during formative years. Moreover, young minds have the tendency to learn better in a formal environment, along with their peers where they can also grab the content clearly which is retained life long.

In the end, I feel even though parents play an important role in educating their wards about the importance of reprocessing, formal institutions are the proper place to provide their students with such expertise; they have the expertise and resources to see this task through.

There is nowadays an intriguing debate brewing up as there is a lobby that believes the mothers and fathers should impart knowledge to their wards about recycling while the others feel that the school should don the mantle to instil its relevance among the young ones.

Since parents are the role models to their children they should take the initiative by setting precedents for their wards, so that these young ones follow the footsteps of the former, and incorporate recycling in their regime. Furthermore, families can disseminate the idea of recycling to the tender minds by fostering it in the form of several fun activities and games while teaching them a variety of social as well as moral values and make them comprehend their responsibility towards improving the surroundings.

But, the other lobby believes that school is accountable for making the pupils comprehend the prominence of reuse. This process can be introduced in the school curriculum through which students can imbibe it with great ease with the help of colourful books integrated with graphics since pictures leave an everlasting impression on the growing minds, and compel and enlighten them to contribute towards the environment. Moreover, these formal settings have a lot of room to organise several drives and campaigns for recycling owing to which the little ones could inculcate the procedure in themselves through the hands-on practical experience, thereby keeping them abreast of the equipment required to follow this practice.

To reiterate, I strongly feel that both parents as well as school must share the responsibility of enlightening the young individuals about the significance of recycling since they consider both as mentors so their teachings would leave a long lasting impression on the tender minds and help them to become a responsible citizen.

With the rising threat to the environment nowadays, many opine that the importance of recycling should be taught to the young oneS by their parents. However, this has ensued a profound debate as many believe that such tasks should be learnt at schools.

It is said virtue begins at home, thus, learning of a skill like recycling must be taught there. Mothers and fathers can set precedents in front of their wards to show its importance. As children look up to their parents as their role models, they can persuade the former to embrace the art of reusing effectively. Moreover, this process is usually  illustrated practically where the elders are seen following the method of reusing household goods of various kinds, which the young ones start following without questioning.

Nevertheless, many do not go with the former opinion, as per them a specialised task such as recycling must be learned about at formal tuition. These institutions  have every apparatus to teach young ones about this process. Schools can inculcate this learning in their curriculum which can help their students to acquire substantial knowledge about recycling.

Moreover, another view that one can hardly overlook is that youngsters building their moral character during their schooling which is an important perspective for making children to indulge themselves in the process of reusing, thus, it becomes an obligation for these institutions to make their students learn such important operations.

To recapitulate, controversies apart I strongly believe recycling is an immensely important task that every youngster should learn to make this process work effectively, and this can only be achieved when both parents and schools will take onus of this activity, since they influence young ones equally.
