Many people believe that alterations in weather patterns can harm business, while others think that this phenomenon can create numerous opportunities for commercial activities. In this essay, I will discuss both of the perspectives along with my opinion.
To begin with, there are myriad reasons why people believe that a shift in climatic patterns can bring mega opportunities for their business. To start with, tourism establishments can afford more advantages due to weather change, like in many countries during hot summer days, individuals tend to spend hefty amounts just to visit regions with moderate and cold temperatures, and in that sense, the leisure industry can register more profits. Also, during summer seasons the demand and supply of air-conditioners increases and similarly, in winters supply of geyser and heaters boost up the business for both manufactures and suppliers.
On the other hand, others believe that this shifting weather can have a negative effect on their trade. Like during the rainy season, heavy rainfall can negatively impact farmers. For example, due to extreme rainfall, the crops may get damaged and the complete farming activity gets affected, making farmers poor. Another drawback is for roadside vendors. The more than normal rains can impede their business and affect their earnings. Furthermore, the cities that experience higher than usual temperatures - as high as 47 degrees in the months of May, June and July and during peak summer months - dairy products and green groceries stand the risk of getting spoiled.
To recapitulate, some businesses may be able to gain from the altering weather phenomenon, but in reality, small businesses may be impacted quite adversely, affecting a majority of the populace.
