In the future, nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

In the future, nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Digital technology is becoming more advanced in concurrent times, and some anticipate that in the coming days, a majority will shift their reading habits from printed books and newspapers to the virtual platforms. The forthcoming paragraphs shall analyze this notion and share a plausible conclusion.

To start with, some believe that the way people are becoming busier in their daily routines, they are likely to embrace the soft copies instead of stepping out of their comfort zones to procure printed versions already available over the internet, and could be accessed with their single click absolutely free. Consequently, such circumstances will promote online versions of every content, and paper-based material will become a history.

Additionally, few will be keen to bear the burden of carrying heavy books of different  subjects and tedious oversized newspapers when they can read everything on their compact devices; it has been seen university students are already shifting from conventional to the electronic modes - they dread carrying tonnes of books to serve different purposes.

However, the advocates of traditional means of gaining knowledge and apprising about happening around the world are still hopeful that a  majority will remain passionate about reading the printed versions: they will continue using the conventional means as a quality pastime helping them escape the mundane surroundings created by overwhelming presence of technology in every walk of their life. Similarly, there will still be some certain areas that will be out of bounds for technology and network and one will still have to rely on these older means.

Overall, I completely concur that people will move towards the digital era, there has been a decisive shift in the habits of every individual, especially in terms of reading the content online as compared to the printed materials.
