In many cities today, most people live in large apartment blocks. Does this kind of accommodation have more advantages or disadvantages?
In contemporary times, a large population of urbanites reside in large societies housing apartments. While this arrangement offers umpteen pros, the cons cannot be overlooked. In the upcoming paragraphs, I will discuss whether the former outshine the latter.
To begin with, such settings have numerous benefits to offer as people from different cultures come together to celebrate the various festivals and events related to their cultures, creating harmony. The life in these gated areas becomes very easy as one receives all the facilities in the premises of the society only and also does not need to worry about the security related issues. Finding parking for the vehicle is easy unlike other areas. The one who is living in these areas never face the issues related to power cuts and water supply related troubles.
Moreover, these places are also very cost effective: the prices and rents of the houses here are pocket-friendly. Similarly, the cost of maintenance is also very low as it is shared among all the residents living in the building. Additionally, the environment is also very peaceful as there is no noise related to traffic and machinery.
Having said that, lack of privacy is a major drawback as every apartment is very close to each other; it is hard to organize get-togethers at home without seeking permission from neighbors. On top of that, one cannot renovate the exterior or interior of the house according to their will since if they want to do so, they must take permission from society management and their co-habitants.
To conclude, in my opinion accommodating in these kinds of societies has more advantages as compared to disadvantages as they provide countless facilities and they also have low maintenance.
