Some people think that all university students should study whatever they like. Others believe that they should be allowed to study subjects that will be useful in the future, such as those related to science and technology. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
A great discourse of contemporary times revolves around whether university goers should be given leverage to take up the subjects of their interests or varsities should enlighten them with profession oriented subjects like science and technology that would afford benefits in future. In this essay I shall discuss both views and share my opinion.
A lobby profoundly corroborates with the former notion by stating that rendering liberty in choosing the subjects will create passion towards studies consequently scoring good in university exams and indeed outstanding performance in jobs, as nowadays science and IT does not hold entire working sector but one can make a successful career in literature, arts, accounts and so on. On the other hand, compelling youngsters to devote their time only on subjects related to science or technology will kill their creativity, as a result they might end up with not only poor grades but also may not show compassion in the future endeavors in any field.
However, dissenters assert that youngsters get influenced easily with whatever fascinates them and with such a perplexed state of mind freedom to decide the subjects would be a regret. The universities and parents should take responsibility to make them learn what can afford them highly paid jobs . They strengthen it by mentioning that, lately the virtual world is a new trend and has a long way to go, thus knowledge of programming will always render a secure job with appealing salaries. One may not be interested in computers during college times but with future aspects such subjects assure stability.
Overall, I vehemently believe that giving a fair chance to students to express their liking for a subject would not do any harm but elders and universities should take the final decision on it.
