Some people say that now we can see films on our phones or tablets and there is no need to go to the cinema. Others say that to be fully enjoyed, films need to be seen in a cinema.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Nowadays, a majority feels that movies can be viewed on hand-held devices, whereas many oppose this notion and think old fashioned way: cinemas are irreplaceable. This essay shall critically scrutinize this matter and draw a plausible conclusion.
Many suggest that by virtue of the advancement in technology people can watch films on their mobile devices, without setting a foot outside of their homes, with the help of the internet. The new releases are immediately made available on the OTT platforms, and other streaming websites, making it accessible all the time; one can watch it during their lunch breaks, or right before going to bed; they also can easily pause, rewind, and stop a movie at their convenience, with no time constraints like a fixed showtime. Moreover, this method is cheaper and renders access to a vast collection than watching a film in the hall; they have to pay nominally to the websites like Netflix and Amazon Prime, to name a few, and yet watch anything.
Nevertheless, the other school of thought professes that movies can only be enjoyed when watched in a movie theater. They feel it affords an immersive experience; large and expansive screens surrounded with sound systems that makes one feel like being a part of the action that is difficult to replicate elsewhere. Moreover, visiting a theater renders relaxed viewing, wherein the audience can sit in an air-conditioned environment, and engross themselves in the content without any distractions.
To conclude, I feel even though watching movies on mobile phones and tablets is more convenient and pocket friendly, people should go out to watch a movie as it offers unparalleled pleasure, something that cannot be duplicated on a small screen.
