In some countries, more and more people are hiring a personal fitness trainer, rather than playing sports or doing exercise classes. What are the reasons for this? Is this a positive or a negative development?

In recent times, many are becoming inclined to subscribe to personalized fitness sessions. This stems for several reasons, and needs a critical scrutiny of whether it is a favorable or an unfavorable evolution.

To embark upon the discussion, this tendency can be attributed to several causes: many are not quite disciplined; they tend to skip workout either due to work, or simply because of procrastination, and hence, require someone to guide them in individual sessions. Similarly, some desire for customized diet charts and be monitored strictly to prevent them from going astray. Additionally, with the rise in disposable incomes, it has become easier to afford such services so that a faster progress towards fitness goals can be registered; higher purchasing power has enabled individuals to part with a portion of their savings in order to stay fit and healthy.

Employing a personalised trainer yields to be a favourable outcome for both - the trainer and the trainee. Where on the one hand, it offers advantages in terms of tailored guidance and support during workouts: one enjoys the benefit of receiving focussed clarifications on exercises, or addressing any challenges facing them, without distractions, besides motivation and approval, thereby enhancing the overall training experience. On the other hand, it has led to the emergence of a specialist field that is proving lucrative for youngsters to follow healthy regimes themselves, earn sky high,  and persuade others to follow the precedents and engage in physical activities.

In the end, I concur that this is an overall beneficial shift, as it offers flexibility, precipitating  greater consistency and reduces stress, ultimately leading to higher productivity within a short span of time, and those imparting training are benefiting financially, turning this domain into a self-sustaining realm.
