Some people believe that anybody can be a teacher, if he is trained properly. Others think that there are some personal qualities a good teacher should have. To what extent do you agree or disagree with the statement?

In this contemporary era, education plays a crucial role by virtue of being the key to success. A few assume that anyone can become a tutor if they undergo training, while others believe that teaching requires certain essential personal qualities. I am personally in favour of the latter view.

To begin with the former view, undeniably, training can turn one into effective tutors as it can render them  necessary knowledge about the planning curriculum and strategies,  including creating lesson planning, and classroom management. Additionally, this can enhance their confidence by imparting them knowhow about up-to-date teaching strategies and policies that can enhance the learning experience of pupils. For instance, in a recent report by New York Times,  modern teaching concepts embrace use of non-retributive measures and use of student-friendly engagement policies like interactive classroom learning, allowing educators to structure their lessons aimed at removing obstacles facing pupils, and encouraging them to involve profoundly in sessions, thereby making them study better.

Having said that, no state-of-the-art programs promising disseminating teaching strategies can replicate the innate quality educators require: empathy and sensitivity, moral ethics, efficient communication, and passion to teach, are primary qualities required to effectively negotiate this task.  These traits help one to understand the basic needs of their audience in the classroom, and allocate appropriate time to each according to their needs as well, so  that they can learn on their own without feeling embarrassed, and alienated. Such teaching professionals have always helped churn out excellent academic outcomes.

In conclusion, although training is an essential part for modern schooling as this can apprize professionals involved in this occupation about latest tools and policies, a successful teacher is the one with inbuilt abilities: empathizing, and connecting with individual students effectively.
