In developing countries, parents often expect their sons to study science so they can get good jobs in the future, while daughters are encouraged to study simple subjects, get married, embrace family responsibilities, and join less challenging professional domains. However, men and women have equal abilities and potential. If given the same opportunities, many women can do just as well as men in science. Famous female scientists like Marie Curie, Ada Lovelace, and Emilie du Châtelet have already proved that they can achieve great heights in these fields. The problem of gender discrimination in education should stop completely, and fortunately. in many societies are acting in that direction, with an increasing number of women already studying engineering and technology. This trend needs to proliferate fast to enable mankind to realize its full potential, otherwise it will be bereft of talent that is not confined to sex, but is more conspicuously highlighted with innate abilities.
