When asked to choose between a life without work and working most of the time, people would always choose not to work. Do you agree or disagree?

Undeniably, there is a profound debate raging about whether many wish to be without engaging in professional endeavors. While some accept this, others dissent. I will critically analyze this matter in the following paragraphs and share my opinion.

To begin with, some profess that life is more beautiful without work, as no stress, people can incline towards their personal time with family and friends. Nowadays, life is so busy that people cannot find such precious time for themselves, so they prefer a life without work. A survey by the Washington Post revealed that forty percent of the respondents in the USA have chosen not to work; they felt relaxed, enjoyed each moment of their lives.

Similarly, some even correlate life without any professional engagement to one circumventing health disorders and problems, and pressure that workload usually precipitates. This lobby is seen citing examples of the sick reporting that they were impacted by intense stress facing them while in jobs to meet deadlines, which often forced them to disregard their well being.

Nevertheless, despite being quite appealing to some, complying with the former view can turn into life a purposeless endeavor. Therefore, most prefer to choose work than sitting idle at home; working hard encourages one to accomplish their future goals. As a result, people can fulfill essential needs of their families and get satisfied with their accomplishment. Additionally, people want to be rich and maintain the financial status to stay visible, so they have to do work as much as they can, so that they earn handsomely.

To recapitulate, I vehemently align myself with the latter view; being a working person renders a direction, giving it a chance to grow and fulfill dreams, but sitting ideal can give short term happiness only.
