Some people prefer one-on-one lessons, while others like groups. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
In the contemporary era, many people believe having one-on-one interactive sessions are more effective, whereas some prefer learning in a group is more beneficial. I will analyze both the views and share a plausible opinion.
To start with, many believe that the individual classes are always considered more beneficial for pupils as there are several requiring personalized focus and attention by virtue of being introverts. Many tend to hesitate while asking questions in group settings, whereas personalized sessions provide individual space and time to analyze things. They can present their queries and make mistakes without the fear of being judged, or becoming a butt of jokes. Apart from that, they also enjoy undivided attention from the tutor, which is without distraction.
Nevertheless, barring a few, a majority prefer studying in the conventional classroom system as it helps them attain more knowledge from group discussions. Likewise, they tend to foster broader perspectives, owing to the chance to listen to problems facing peers, exposes students to different points of view and problem solving approaches and foster critical thinking, deeper understanding of subjects. To exemplify, a study was conducted in China during the pandemic times, that compared group sessions and individual classes, it was observed that most students were more confident after group sessions as these helped render solutions from the mistakes of others. Moreover, classroom arrangement ensures better learning, conflict resolution, helps develop communication skills, teamwork and leadership, inculcating confidence song pupils.
In hindsight, disputes aside, one-on-one lessons are better for beginners, or students, needing extra help, while group lessons help ensure fostering cooperation and discussions. I feel that even though it is an individual prerogative to choose either of the settings as both offer distinct benefits, it is better to be a part of classroom settings.
