Full-time university students spend a lot of time studying, however they should perform other activities too. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

University education is considered key to success, and those studying focus completely on academic studies. However,  they should participate in other activities too, as some suggest. I completely agree with the suggestion that students also focus on extra skills.

Most students believe that they should prioritize academic studies because university courses  cost an arm and a leg, and they do not want to be distracted from studies. Nevertheless,  if they participate in other cocurricular activities, it will be beneficial for their mental health. Sometimes learners feel stressed due to studying long hours which can cause depression and other mental health problems. Thus, indulging themselves in other extra skills can help them earn a much required healthy distraction,  making them feel relaxed.

Similarly,  they can also make friends, and create strong social ties that will help them in future. A recent study by Northern college proves that the students who are more active socially gain more opportunities as compared to those who just focus on their academic tasks because they tend to use these links to gain better work openings through these networks. Mr. Harkirat Singh, an emerging  Indian badminton player admits gaining chances to get expert coaching in this sport through his friends.

Furthermore, participating in other endeavors develop important life skills that textbooks cannot teach such as team work and  leadership,  among others, and also improve communication skills as well as boost confidence, something extremely valuable for their future. Students joining clubs or social groups often feel connected and supported, which improves overall university experience.

In conclusion, although academic studies require significant dedication, full time university students should also engage in other activities: involving in a variety of experiences leads to better mental health, stronger skill development, and an enjoyable and successful university journey.
