In many countries, obese juveniles are becoming a common sight; many believe it to be the result of carelessness of parents of the children. The forthcoming paragraphs shall elucidate the primary aspect leading to his condition; the effects of this menace; and some plausible solutions.

To begin with, although there are umpteen causes for this complication, the most prominent one is lack of awareness among parents about this issue. They, due to their hectic schedules, rarely monitor what their wards are consuming, and the latter indulge exceedingly in consuming a calorie-rich diet, mostly junk food. To add to the woes, youngsters are seldom seen engaging in physical activities; they spend most of the time engaging in indoor activities such as watching television and playing video games to name a few, adding to girth of their waist since the calories consumed are  never metabolized.  

This physical condition can predispose young ones to a slew of issues, strongly affecting their social life as they start lacking in confidence by virtue of becoming a butt of jokes among their peers. Similarly, this hampers their physical and mental well being, making them prone to lifestyle diseases such as diabetes and  depression that usually hit one much later in life. 


However, there are some possible solutions to this menace that can go a long way; parents should mend their habits - sparingly engage in games and television and take their children out. They must also adopt healthy eating habits and make it a point of having at least one meal with their little ones.

Overall, corpulence is a serious complication and can have severe ramifications for the future of youngsters, and all the plausible solutions must be implemented as soon as possible in order to control it.
