IELTS ESSAY CLASSROOM SESSIONS OR ONLINE COURSES

Technology may have revolutionized the realm of education, and many may be feeling that delivering of courses is now better done online rather than through classroom sessions, I do not subscribe to this notion, and consider classroom teaching can never be superseded.

Classes on internet seem to in vogue with those who suggest that this new technique is helping save invaluable money – otherwise spent on establishment of facilities with large classrooms and providing ancillary support, like maintenance and administration. This has allowed educational institutions to divert financial resources to focus on more critical areas, such as improving the quality of the content to be delivered, dedicating more money to explore better and better resources of education.

Moreover, not just the establishment cost, online tutoring has also made it possible for the teachers to save money and time wasted on travelling to and from schools and colleges. This has not only helped the individuals but also the organizations who do not have give extra money to faculty on account of travelling expenses, or providing them conveyance. Individual faculty can also  now spend that extra time with the students

Having said that, classroom sessions are virtually irreplaceable, for the benefits reaped in the classes are virtually unmatched. While delivering lectures and  content to the students, the tutors are able to gauge the responses of the learners and react accordingly. Similarly, pupils are also able to comprehend better in a formal academic environment, in presence of teacher and their classmates. This can help improve the academic outcomes dramatically.

To conclude, it can be said that despite online courses gaining colossal fan following, conventional classroom based sessions are virtually irreplaceable. This traditional method equipped with its basic yet comprehensive approach has always brought laurels for both learners and teachers.

Nowadays people can buy a large variety of household goods
Ielts Essay Household Goods

Easy accessibility of household commodities, world over, has ensued a debate of sorts between various schools of thought over the impact of this new development on individuals, society, economy, as well as the environment. While some term this as a highly beneficial trend, others see it as negative.

Baring a few, most hail this phenomenon: such facilitation is stimulating growth of consumerist economies by boosting economic productivity. When people buy something they need as per their convenience, they aid in invigorating sales of consumer goods; thereby spurring demand for higher production, and hence, employment. Consequently, money flows increase in the economy in form of salaries, and contribute to economic prosperity with higher purchasing power.

Moreover, this not so old trend is helping drive home a huge  indirect benefit, in form of blurring differences between the haves and have-nots. Domestic commodities are no more novelties. They are available in variable quality and prices, and can be afforded by all, regardless of economic background; thus eliminating any chance of jealousy between  diverse and different income groups: everybody is able to enjoy the goods they desire for.

However, conveniently available goods are casting an evil shadow on the environment, as many propose. People buying domestic items, at their convenience, is contributing to an ever-rising pollution not only through manufacturing but also the use, and indiscriminate use of natural resources. Any increment in demand for commodities must be complimented by an increase  in production; thus predisposing natural resources to mindless exploitation; and use of fuel for processing; thus churning out massive emissions.

To conclude, controversies apart, this development is a positive development with everybody being able to access household articles: it is helping economies and removing disparities. However, there is a need to address environmental concerns too.

Nowadays employment options are changing and employees cannot rely on having the same job and working conditions throughout their life
Ielts Essay Employment Options

A new trend is being observed quite commonly, even as the competition among the businesses rise, workers do not seem to be comfortable with similar work settings and nature of work for long. There are obvious reasons for this; however, this phenomena can be overcome by adopting certain prudent steps.

One of the primary reasons of personnel becoming bored of a work setting is the working environment. Quite often, due to working in a similar stressful setting can cause inertia, and facing the music for not attaining goals makes the things worse. This fuels a sense of insecurity towards existing jobs, which makes people seek opportunities elsewhere; they wish to stay prepared for any eventuality, like being terminated from their current employment.

Moreover, monetary factor is another cause that pushes workers to switch and not continue with the same organization for long. Many a times, it has been observed that businesses do not provide their existing workforce a fair deal when it comes to giving them a raise, while when they hire people from outside, they pay hefty pay packages. This can turn things sour and leave the current workers disgruntled. To ensure getting a deserving raise, people often switch employment.

Nevertheless, this situation can be controlled provided the organizations ease the work pressure on their employees. This would make people enjoy their work  and deliver productivity which in turn ensure a lower employee turnover. Furthermore, existing workers should be considered to a adequate raises in compensation. When people get a deserving deal, they feel cared for, and  love to continue with the same organization.

To conclude, I personally that organizational efficiency can be improved phenomenally if the workforce is happy and contented with the work and compensation. Thus, every effort should be made to ensure both these conditions.

Public transport Should be made free of charge. Are there more advantages or disadvantages to this change?

Public transport Should be made free of charge
Ielts Essay Public Transport

The proposal of laying Public modes of transportation free of cost at the disposal of people has become a controversial issue: although it promises to offer certain merits on the grounds of affordability, it also carries many pitfalls: it may pose hardships for the state.

Offering public modes of travelling would go a long way in helping the needy sections of teh society, especially the poor - who are unable to travel farther from their homes  to get appropriate employment due to not being able to afford even the nominal fares, the students and the old - who do not have any source of income. This would ease burden of having to pay for travelling, off these classes, and they would find it easy to use the money saved in other critical areas.

However / Having said that, it is hard to overlook associated challenges with the proposal. When public mediums would be offered at no cost, it may provoke people to misuse the facilities, like travelling for leisure and without purpose. It is a commonly believed that people only respect something when it comes at a price.
On the top of that, implementation of free public transport policy is bound to create several problems for the government: it will find it hard to meet expenses incurred on expanding the fleet; maintaining the assets; and paying the concerned staff, as there will be no means to earn revenue for these services. Consequently, all the money will have to be sourced from the government treasury.

Hence, I feel that offering public modes of commuting to everybody would be highly disadvantageous. These services, in my view, should be only offered to the needy, and the ones who can afford should be made to pay.

Nowadays parents give more freedom to their children than in the past
Ielts Essay Freedom and Children

Rendering more freedom to the young ones in the current times, as compared to the past is in vogue today. This has become a center of debate, as many social theorists believe this paradigm shift is having a huge impact on families and society in either positive or negative manner. I believe it has has both sides and would discuss in following paragraphs.

Affording more independence to the growing ones these days is needed, when both the parents are generally working. This helps to foster confidence in children and they grow up as open minded and rational individuals who are an asset for the society. Moreover, as it is said "With more powers comes more responsibilities", such individuals get exposure to decision making and exhibit characteristics of ownership and responsibility at an early age. Conversely, if such kids have limited freedom, they might not be able to grow up as out of box thinkers.

However, too much freedom to the youngsters can lead to them feeling superior as compared to others in the society they might not respect the common social values and can even become arrogant. On the top of that, they can  even indulge into anti-social activities thinking that they are free and have authority to do so. This kind of attitude has been observed in kids from super rich families and some of their activities  have had dire consequences not only for them but for their families and the society, as well.

To recapitulate, in my view, even though modern societies do require children enjoying more independence, we need to keep a check, and ensure this is not abused by them. Also, youngsters need to be continuously counselled to ensure they understand this.

It is quite common for both parents in a family to work
IELTS ESSAY Working Parents
Nowadays, a radical transformation in family settings is being observed where both the spouses take up employment: some out of interest, and others out of compulsion. However, this does have its own pitfalls, sometimes with severe implications for family, as well as the children.

When both, the father and the mother are employed, they are overwhelmed by their professional obligations that leaves them with little to time to devote to their families and personal realms. Such a situation has a potential to create communication gaps among the family members since the critical interaction goes missing; it is superseded by official work and duties. This makes spouses become oblivious of aspirations and expectations of each other, often turning things sour, and the biggest victims of such disturbances are the sons and daughters.

Moreover, this change is fuelling clashes among married partners: there is always an agreeable tension  between the two, as both consider their professional goals to be more critical, and hence wish to given due priority over the other. Besides this, fulfilling family obligation also draws a lot of disagreement among the two, which can sometimes turn bitter. Thus, leading to an unease in the environment of home and family.

Such a situation hits growing ones worst; their mental growth is adversely impacted. Due to continuing tussle between their mothers and fathers, young ones start feeling insecure, and  often grow up as nervous adults, who have problems forging relationships and effectively interacting with others. In many cases, children – if they remain unconcerned – in such family settings, tend to grow up as apathetical individuals.

To conclude, it can be said that even though there are certain drawbacks that the phenomena of both spouses bring in, these can be overcome by a better planning and sharing of responsibilities of family and household chores.

Nowadays People tend to look younger
Ielts Essay Nowadays People tend to look younger

An ever growing number of people have, all of a sudden, become quite enthusiastic about faking their age; and masquerading as someone younger than they actually are – age is just a number for such individuals. Several factors fuel this inclination; however, this trend has both a brighter and a darker side to it.

Craving to look younger, than one actually is, stems from the personal and social need to look presentable, and fit; and thus socially active. Looking youthful can help ensure that a person remains attractive and approachable, primarily for the opposite sex. In the current era, when outward appearance – skin deep – clearly outweighs inner qualities, people have become inclined to sustaining their physical charm.

Numerous experts thank the lust to retain youthful looks: this has helped individuals lead an inspired life – that has persuaded them to abandon sedentary lifestyles, that were soaked in gluttony, and take up some kind of healthy routines, both physical and dietary. This, as per many surveys, has helped improve the quality of life substantially, and made people physically and mentally healthy, and of course happier; they find their lives to be in control.

Having said that, it would be too naïve to ignore the severe pitfalls this craving has produced that have driven people crazy, so much so, that many, in an attempt to compete with each other, do not mind subjecting their bodies to expensive and harsh cosmetic surgeries – that can often backfire and permanently lead to physical deformation. In extreme cases, a treatment gone wrong can turn into a life-threatening situation.

In a nutshell, although retaining young looks is very much in vogue, and has several positives, the drawbacks of this inclination must be seriously considered. However, I am more inclined to consider negative outcomes of this newly emerging trend.

Employers sometimes ask people applying for jobs for personal information
IELTS ESSAY EMPLOYEE INFORMATION
It is a common practice today for businesses to seek inputs from job applicants about their personal realm such as their marital status, their favorite past-time  activities and inclinations. This idea has gained favors from  many, others, however, are quite averse to this, as they feel such an exercise can do little to help.

Collecting data about job-seekers before interviews is perceived as highly beneficial. It can  help organizations judge attitudes and skills of the to-be-appointed personnel much before actually being hired, thereby, enabling selection of appropriate candidates. For instance, a company looking for people to work in a team can always determine abilities of a new recruit by assessing his past involvement in some kind of team driven past-times or sports; thus saving business invaluable time and money.

Moreover, many a times when organizations are seeking employees as per the nature and term – long or short – of assignments, they are keen to know about the family background of applicants. Assessing and screening information about the families of applicants assists recruiters to determine whether an employee would fit the scheme of things as per the job requirements. It has been observed that married people generally shy away from jobs that embrace certain risks and hazards, while unmarried people do not stay in a job for long.

However, others challenge the very rationale behind this practice of collecting details about personal realm of a job-seeker. They wonder, how can  one establish a link between professional and personal character of an individual by knowing about interests, hobbies and marital status. Generally, it has been observed, as this lobby suggests, that people often conceal their real self when interacting in a professional environment.

In a nutshell, I feel that critics may have their apprehensions, that does not mean that collecting inputs about prospective employees is impractical. This policy has been designed after an intensive research and has generated outstanding results.

Ielts Essay Robots

Robots, the marvels of modern technology, have been hailed as path-breaking innovations, and are perceived as critical for future forays by some, while others are cynical of the impact these machines will have on humans.

Undoubtedly, robots have ushered in a era of convenience; and with the advent of more intelligent machines in near future, that are almost in the fruition stage, their interaction is bound to rise. This will surely render an ease of life. Smart machines capable of comprehending voice commands and functioning accordingly, would render not only house hold chores but also tedious office work effortless; thus affording ever becoming busier humans much more time for themselves.

Besides this, what now many avoid doing considering the nature of task to be extremely hazardous, robots – equipped with smart intelligence – would make those jobs look safer: their interventions would make it possible for humans to stay at a safe distance and let these devices carry out research and experiments in remote and dangerous places, like deep sea and space exploration, assessing volcanoes and their nature, etc. Moreover, robotics, the way it has been developing, it seems, will make errors things of the past, especially in case of high precision equipment manufacturing and surgeries.

However, there are concerned and cynical views proliferation of robotics in every walk of life. Many feel that these furtherance of these modern machines would cast an evil shadow over humanity, rendering humans incompetent and making them completely dependent on machines; thus exposing them to unwarranted situations in case of an even of some calamity.

In a nutshell, I feel, even though robots present some risks, it would be inappropriate a response to fear these machines; it is necessary to embrace new technology and not treat with a disdain.

IELTS Essay - Out Of city Superstores Boon or bane
Advent of large super markets on the outer fringes of cities has meant ceasing of business for town centers and small shops in the cities. This, as per some, is a promising prospect that would help drive in several benefits, for others, there could not have been a worse proposal.

Opening up of big departmental stores on the outskirts of urban areas has helped decongest cities, especially the interiors; thus making lives easier for city dwellers.  No more do the centers and business districts face ugly scenarios of public spaces being encroached by parked vehicles which shrunk the pedestrian zones: making it harder for people to move around.

However, as many suggest, this trend has brought in more drawbacks than benefits, most prominent being a staggering rise in air pollution. While in cities, people could afford to travel even by public transport, using personal conveyance has become a compulsion in this case. As the number of cars plying on the roads rise, there have been reports of a substantial increment in emissions in the suburbs, exurbs, and close vicinities of such stores.

Moreover, this new arrangement has left many sulking, those without personal conveyance, are unable to obtain goods of their choice, and must stay satisfied with whatever nearby shops afford  them. Besides this, experience of even those, with cars, has not been too encouraging either. Shopping in  distant locations has led to upsetting of monthly budgets: consumers must plan and buy in excess, as travelling to outskirts cannot be an everyday affair.

In a nutshell, I would not say that establishing super markets in outlying areas of urban locations is altogether laden with drawbacks; however, one can hardly  ignore pitfalls this change has brought along. I believe town planning needs to be more prudent.

IELTS ESSAY CITY LIFE
Urban areas, world over,  are facing a growing influx of migrants; thus overcrowding them and causing diverse and steep challenges to surface. This has indeed led to a disenchantment from urban even though some defy this view.

Life in urban locales do not enjoys the same reputation they had a few years ago since the an ever rising urban population has resulted in a persistent disarray, which is making it harder for the urbanites to experience comfortable living: they find themselves longing for a view of open skies and green surroundings in street canyons dominated by concrete constructions. Any attempts  made to ease this  burden results in an urban sprawl, which is predisposing city dwellers to great travelling distances, longer commuting times; and hence stress.

Moreover, life in cities does not fascinate many nowadays; it has been eclipsed by the rising costs of living and subsistence. People residing in urban locations must part with a huge a chunk of their earnings to pay for housing and other essentials, like food and clothing. This leaves them with little savings; thus eroding the benefits of shifting to urban locations.

Having said that, life in cities will continue to ignite fascination, as some profess. Metropolitan areas have employment opportunities galore, and people from a cross-section of skills, can easily find work in their respective occupations. Besides this, these locations afford people access to quality education, both basic formal tuition and advanced university system. This can help many plan a secure future for not only themselves but also for their children.

Hence, I feel, despite many quoting reasons for their opinions about urban life losing its shine, metropolises and their lifestyles will continue to enchant, and push more and more to relocate to cities.

Ielts Essay Distant Places for Jobs

These days, a trend is being witnessed among many who shift to distant locations in search of greener pastures. This, as per many, has several benefits; however, others point out at the drawbacks of this. I will discuss both the aspects and share my views.

Relocating to other cities in search of good employment exposes people to abundant opportunities of landing a job that suits their qualifications, and matches their expectations. This raises their chances of enhancing their earning capacities, thereby improving their living standards. They can plan better for their future and also fulfill their dreams: buying a good house, affording their children quality education, and also accumulate  wealth for a safe and secure future.
Moreover, moving away from home renders individuals opportunities to broaden their horizons and also become independent. When people relocate in search of livelihood, they get to know the outer world more closely, and also interact with others, whom they may not be able to come in contact with while staying back at their homes. This, free of any external assistance, interaction helps them form rational view of world, besides fostering confidence in them about taking decisions independently.

However, this trend does have a darker side to it. With people moving away from home turf, the prospects of their communicating with their families and peers are reducing considerably; thus, causing erosion of social and ethical values. The hardest hit are the children born to such people, who rarely get to interact with their grandparents and cousins, thereby, reducing relevance and importance of familial relationships.

In a nutshell, I personally opine, even though this relatively new concept has both positives and negatives, leaving hometown and settling down in distant locations for the sake of rich employment opportunities is highly advantageous.

Some people think that schools should involve students in school management
Ielts Essay
To make formal education a more enriching experience for the young, many educationalists, citing several benefits, have started suggesting about letting young learners play in active role in administration of schools. Nevertheless, this policy has its own darker side, which can hardly be ignored.

Allocating students administrative roles is bound to bring in rich benefits: incorporating such a policy would pave way for creating a clearer understanding among pupils about the challenges facing school authorities – which often feature in the list of unwarranted grievances of young learners. An active participation would let them become responsible and accountable; and help dissuade them from subversive activities – that often culminate in damage to school property.

Moreover, introducing such a practice will enable students hone certain essential skills that might prove to be highly useful in later life. When learners would take part in school administration, they would obtain extensive knowhow of management, decision-making, and taking initiative – sometimes in collaboration with others and at others, on their own. This could assist young minds grow up as rational adults proficient in prudent planning.

However, critics bring forth pitfalls of this proposal: encouraging participation in school management will prove to be counter-productive – cause distraction from studies. Learners would waste their invaluable time on non-essential affairs; thus leaving them with little time to focus on the fundamental objective – obtaining education – which of course will be quite unacceptable. Moreover, a confusion may descend on the environment of school where every student will be attempting to push around their weight – even leading to rivalry.

In a nutshell, I feel that this concept has both a brighter and darker side to it. Hence, even though this  proposal is worthy of implementation, extreme discretion should exercised while inviting young learners for an active participation in school management.

Ielts Essay - Generations in Workforce

Nowadays, professional environment, populated by a workforce that constitutes of personnel from diverse generations, experiences varied challenges, while also bringing along certain benefits. I, however, personally feel that it would be quite inappropriate to descend into a squabble weighing benefits and drawbacks: an organization with such a mix is bound to reap rich benefits, by virtue of having access to seasoning, as well as energy and flair.

Having two generations striving together to attain organizational objectives, is bound to provide an unparalleled edge over rivals. Many human resources experts cite various reasons for this notion: such a business has not only an expansive experience and a pragmatic vision to guide the organization through the thin and thick in various spheres of business – by devising strategies and plans, but also a workforce of young enthusiastic professionals, to implement carefully devised strategies, raring to go and take a shot at success.

Besides this, older workers – with an extensive exposure by their sides – help enrich experience of young employees through a productive engagement and dialogue. This way, a business is able to perpetuate business ethics, work culture and success; expertise and proficient skills are  transferred to the younger generation of personnel.

However, a certain section of management experts express their reservations about such a mixture. To support their views, despite lacking much substance, they cite instances of rift struggle fuelled by generational divide between the young and  the older personnel. They feel that as the aspirations, approach and expectations of people born decades apart tend to vary enormously, there is little chance of them working harmoniously and joining hands.

In the end, there is hardly any pitfall in individuals from diverse generations coming together to work. It is a fact that a successful army has always been led by seasoned commanders and battle fields conquered by young soldiers.

Ielts Essay Bringing Up Environment
As per many environmentalists, ecological balance of the blue planet is on the brink of collapse and very soon, the Earth may become inhospitable; however, this notion is quashed by the optimistic lobby that professes that it is never too late and a lot can be done to protect environment.

Mankind, in an attempt to register a radical progress in almost every walk of life, has resorted to exploiting every imaginable natural resource. This has been going on since last three centuries as humans have gone around denuding the planet to make way for bigger and bigger industrial towns, to provide more and more manufactured goods; create areas for settlements and dwelling units to provide accommodation for an ever-rising population; and bringing land under the occupation of primary activities to practice agriculture – on large scale, Diary-farming – on industrial scale, and provide pastures for grazing of diary animals. These activities have culminated in large-scale  destruction of natural habitats of diverse flora and fauna; thus causing extinction of numerous species of plants and animals, which can never be retrieved now.

Having said that, there is a big group of environment specialists who assert that the situation is not as  desperate as it has been promoted by certain pessimistic naturalists. As per them, mankind has made enough progress to shift focus from naturally occurring minerals to artificially synthesized materials, and revolutionary concepts of using non-conventional energy resources. This has helped the society to maximize productivity with minimal use of natural resources; thus, sparing natural habitats and environment for the plants and animals.

In a nutshell, after assessing both the views in detail, I feel that despite extensive damage done to the planet, things can be salvaged and humans can make the environment sustainable.

Ielts Essay Giving Money as Gift
Child rearing is surely an arduous task and gifting them something, that might appeal them, is equally a tricky job. To overcome uncertainty of how the young ones might like or treat a gift with disdain, many have shifted their preferences to offering them money instead. They cite several benefits of such a practice; however, this has also raised many eyebrows.

Giving money to young ones seems to be a more practical option today, for the expectations and aspirations have undergone a sea change. Undoubtedly, young people have many more things, like gadgets and activities, which were beyond imagination for the preceding generation, at their disposal; this has created a gap between what people expected from their gifts in the past and what the youth means today by anything being rendered as presents. This can cause a friction, and to evade such incidence, elders offer money instead of any commodity or goods.

Having said that, there are many who protest against this practice. They term offering money to the young ones as gift as a recipe to disaster, and actually inviting trouble: young minds, inexperienced as they are, may become extravagant, demanding and stop appreciating the value of money. Moreover, when parents are usually absent from their families due to their professional obligations, the young ones could also pick up wrong habits, in absence of any monitoring. Consequently, this can spell trouble for the mothers and fathers, who will be at their wits end trying to satisfy ever rising demands of their wards.

In a nutshell, I feel, the practice of offering money is not as evil as it has been project by certain sections; it can instead help children fulfill their legitimate desires and also help prevent friction among the family members.

Ielts Essay Family or Out of Family

Of late parents, citing several reasons and benefits, have been motivating their young ones to start living separately. However, this has also stirred a debate: many are unwilling to participate in this new trend. They feel that choosing to move out or live with the family should be prerogative of the children.

Inspiring children to live out of their families is backed by a strong conviction; adopting such a step would let  growing minds learn about living independently and taking decisions on their own. Many a times, it has been observed, when young ones live away from their comfort zones, they have no one to guide and monitor. This invigorates their intellect; making them go for exploring options, without any external intervention, and learning about distinguishing the correct choices from the incorrect ones; thus, fostering confidence and independent thinking.

Moreover, this can also help in broadening horizons of young growing minds. When they go out and interact with the outer world without anyone, their nears and dears to their aid, young ones learn about negotiating, communicating and socializing with  an array of people. This helps form  a broader and rational perspective about others; eventually making them grow up as prudent personalities.

Nevertheless, there is a conventional view that exhibits more traditional approach: allowing sons and daughters to continue living with the families. This helps children learn about living with older people and making adjustments according to the need; and fostering a sense of empathy towards others and, in particular, their own families. Such individuals grow up as tolerant, selfless and compassionate adults

In a nutshell. I personally feel that deciding about living with family or independently should be left to the young ones itself; they would learn both ways, and obtain immense knowledge, wisdom and experience both ways.

Many childhood disease can now be prevented through the use of vaccines. Should parents be made by law to immunize their children against common diseases or should individuals have the right to choose not to immunize their children?

Many childhood disease can now be prevented through the use of vaccines.
Should parents be made by law to immunize their children against common diseases or should individuals have the right to choose not to immunize their children?

Radical advancements in medicine have afforded humanity a potent weapon that can help them overcome several diseases, right from the childhood, with help of a simple vaccination. This has, however, raised a moral and an ethical argument whether parents should be allowed to exercise their discretion of evading vaccinations for their little ones. I feel, this is an idea worthy of indignation, and any such rights must be wrested from the parents.

Health is a state subject; hence, to ensure that everybody in a country stays healthy, governments should be vested with the jurisdiction to decide providing safeguards to the populace, including inoculating young ones. Failing this, health budget allocations for combative measures are bound to shoot through the roof, when growing children would be afflicted by the ailments that could have been avoided by a simple medical intervention. These very parents, who chose to  evade immunization,  would come back asking for medical assistance for children who missed out critical preventive treatment.

Moreover, letting parents circumventing vaccination process, for their  wards, would amount to jeopardizing the very future of the society; the present state of physical and mental health of young ones helps forecast how the society would fare in the future. In case, little ones are plagued by ailments, that could have been avoided, and that could actually turn serious at a later stage, would cast an evil shadow on not only the overall health index of society but also impede productivity.

To sum up, it can be said that appeasing parents in this case can prove to be an expensive mistake: putting the health of the future of society at stake; hence immunization process in the childhood should be mandatory, regardless of what mothers and fathers think.

Ielts  Essay MOdern Communication vs Letter

Present day modes of sending and receiving messages has overwhelmed conventional channels of communicating. This, as per many has eroded the usefulness of hand written letters though others have contrary views. Amidst all the controversy, I feel, despite being almost grounded, writing letters would survive the onslaught of the technology.

Digital mediums, like emails, have ushered in an era of speedy interaction; and made letters look obsolete and out of sync with the current requirements. People, no more need to struggle to first write words on a piece of paper, an exercise that needed a lot of planning and time, and then mail it to the targeted individuals or organizations – which would cost days and sometimes weeks to reach the destination. Now users just need into log onto their online accounts, type the intended messages and send them right away.

Moreover, there is little doubt about the practical use of the latest introductions of word processors – that assist with the spell-checks and offer a wide choice of fonts to use from – that have made life a lot more easier; letter writers  have been relieved from the worries of keeping their handwriting legible and also clear of any spelling errors – that had a potential of distorting the meaning of the content.

Nevertheless, some still have a penchant, especially elderly, for writing letters. For them, using this ancient art means exhibiting care, compassion and love; writing words with hands often is perceived as an indicator of serious approach of the writers towards someone or a matter, by virtue of immense time and efforts spent on scribbling words on a piece of paper.

In a nutshell, it can be said after looking at the views; although it may seem that written letters would be a thing of that past, there is a remote possibility of such a thing happening.

Ielts Essay Rich and Poor Gap
Ever rising income disparity is driving a wedge between the haves and have-nots. This has alarmed many social theorists and  economists: this could predispose society to several challenges, as per them. There is a need to explore plausible mediums to mitigate these challenges.

Widening gap in the levels of incomes of the elite and the destitute is leading to unwarranted consequences: there is an agreeable tension between the wealthy and impoverished class today, which is leading to jealousy. As the fault lines become more prominent, a mistrust among classes seems to be simmering. Consequently, there could be class struggles that may further precipitate into civil unrest and violence.

Furthermore, another impact of disproportionate distribution of wealth is also believed to be a major cause of increase in crime. As the desires of those, who lack resources, continue to rise – when they observe the prosperous class  enjoy the exploits of riches – they often resort to crime, in order to, fulfill those demands. This is a serious cause of concern: this might lead to deterioration of law and order in the society.

To overcome the challenges posed by unequal distribution of money, society must act fast. Governments need to usher in new policies that promote modern social and economic structure. Supporting poor with monetary assistance, like minimum wages and subsistence money, can go a long way. Besides this, certain non-monetary measures can also play a major role in mitigating resulting challenges: ensuring employment and free education and health services to the impoverished might also go a long way.

To sum up, the disproportionate distribution of wealth in the society is surely an issue to be taken seriously. However, even though not a panacea  certain steps, if applied judiciously can mitigate the challenge posed by ever increasing divide.
