Currently there is a trend towards the use of alternative forms of medicine
Ielts Essay - Modern Medicine and Alternative medicine
Health has always been a cause of worry, it has forced experts in field of medicine to find ways to treat illness. This has although helped discover diverse systems of treatment: mainstream and alternative,  it has also raised a bizarre debate, as some consider alternative medicine as worthless and, in fact, hazardous. However, others support non-mainstream interventions.

Choosing interventions that are not a part of a proven modern medicine is considered to be extremely harmful and laden with several risks since such systems, as some experts propose, do not have any documentary proof of how the practitioners diagnose and detect ailments; how they devise their strategies of treatment and prescribing medicines. This, in an age of well-documented experiments of causes and effects of ailments and medicines, makes the whole system quite precarious, and bereft of any concrete evidence.

Moreover, many professionals openly deride use of other medicines: ingredients and methods utilized in alternative medicines and therapies are often questionable of grounds of safety - use of poison, heavy metal, untreated needles and pressure seldom help in recovery, or bringing around any kind of relief, but instead stretch the tenure of illness, often severely impeding recovery of patients.

However, there are others who are outrightly positive about the outcomes of  traditional medicine interventions: the alternative methods of medicine target the very root cause of a disease, and strive to eradicate  the disorder or ailment completely instead of giving a temporary relief; these concepts use natural ingredients as these therapies regard a human body as a part of nature rather than a machine, which eliminates any chances of unpleasant side-effects.

Henceforth, I personally feel despite portrayal of alternative medicine as being evil, non-mainstream medicine is effective and can instead prove to be complimentary to the modern medicine.

Too much education is dangerous. If people receive more education than they need to function in their job,
Ielts Essay - Over-education
Educating oneself appropriately to raise chances of grabbing good employment has been a primary objective of every individual today, but some people profess, in this pursuit, some tend to get more than what may be needed to fulfill professional obligations that can fuel discontentment though others consider this idea to be quite bizarre.

Pursuing and completing academic qualifications that exceed requirements of employment in a given domain does sometimes instill discontentment. Individuals, after years of studying, tend to become too ambitious and unrealistic; hence failing to derive fulfillment and end up feeling disenchanted, and in fact disgruntled. Such people will not settle for anything lesser than a  job that offers them a smart remuneration, as well as a post of consequence; and any work they do, that is not strategically critical to an establishment, appears to be an impediment in their progress.

Moreover, workers with knowledge that outstrips demands of work also find it hard to cope with their co-workers whom they consider to be 'Lesser Mortals' and  virtually a no-match. In such cases, it has been observed that overeducated individuals are always out of sync of aspirations and expectations of rest of workforce; and tend to stay aloof and feel alienated; and thus unhappy.

However, there are others who outrightly ridicule this pessimist view: education can never be in excess, and it rather, if an individual grabs more of it, helps broaden mindsets and equip people with abilities to innovate, and come out with radical solutions to every problem. Such workers derive pleasure by outperforming their colleagues in performance that makes them feel proud of their abilities.

In a nutshell, I feel, the notion of excessive education leading to discontentment at work has no firm grounding and baseless

Some people think that new houses should be built in the same style as older houses in the local area
Ielts Essay - Old Houses of New Designs
Urban planning is surely a difficult job, as it must take care of how the construction of dwelling units, in a locality, is undertaken. Right now, these professionals have a task on hand: whether to allow people to build their houses as per individual wish, or to follow pre-established by-laws.

Permitting  people to construct residences as per their own discretion is justifiable: modern architectural conventions focus on saving space and energy. With fast changing times, requirements of households have undergone dramatic transformations: more and more people, per family, need to be accommodated  within a given space which is almost impossible to achieve with obsolete design parameters. Allowing individual households to carry out construction as per their discrete needs will help save time, efforts and money otherwise expended on finding alternative solutions, like looking for additional residential units.

Moreover, design of dwelling units is an individual prerogative since people tend to spend, most of the times, a lot of their hard-earned money, sometimes even savings of their whole life, on building their dream houses: they deserve an opportunity to fulfill their dreams and expectations, and authorities have no right to enforce upon will on free citizens.

However, there are others asserting that no deviation should be allowed from a prescribed modular design. Allowing heterogeneous designs would fuel dissent in large numbers; thus allowing all sorts of weird designs and facades to come up and spoil the outlook of surroundings and make neighborhoods look ugly. Moreover, design bye-laws suggested by urban bodies conform to prerequisites necessary for ensuring a good quality of life for citizens of an area.

In a nutshell, I personally vouch for a modular designs as it will help promote a homogenous look that will help giving a neighborhood a pleasant look even though some freedom should be afforded, as far as, interiors is concerned.

Some people believe that it is better to live and work in a vertical city with multiple tall buildings
Ielts Essay - Vertical or Horizontal Cities?
As urban town planners struggle to discover ways to resolve issues facing modern cities - in terms of accommodating population and sustenance of environment, the society stands divided in two partisan groups: ones supporting life in cities with horizontal development, and others vouching for urban areas that have grown vertically.

Most urbanites prefer residence and employment in metros that have a plenty of high-rise buildings. Such locations are quite compact and self-sufficient in almost all aspects: they offer much shorter commuting times between homes, offices and places of leisure, that are often located within a close vicinity of each other. This leaves people with ample time to allocate to each part of their lives, professional and personal. Moreover, such settings also offer a sense of security, as due to being compact, locals are familiar with areas and each other.

Similarly, vertical cities are known to be environmentally friendly. More and more populace - bitten by environment protection bug, is choosing such areas over others; locations having lesser multi-storey buildings predispose deforestation. Furthermore, most of high-rises are also designed with an aim of conserving and, in fact, generating own energy, by use of non-conventional methods and fuels, like solar power, etc.

However, conservative lobby still favors horizontal urban settings: they feel, horizontal arrangement offers a good quality of life: the pressure of population is far lesser which aids in better utility services; having green front and back yards offers superior comfort due to availability of abundant sunlight and fresh air; surroundings and skyline are a very pleasing sight, unlike the street canyons in the concrete jungles of high-rises.

In a nutshell, both the vertically and horizontally developed urban metropolis have their own benefits and shortcomings; hence judging which is a better place to live is impossible.

Young drivers are careless and overconfident, and too many are killed in accidents. To eliminate this problem, we could teach children the skills of safe driving while they are at school. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Dramatically rising instances of fatalities involving  young drivers is fueling relentless efforts for a reliable solution to address the growing menace. A proposal has recently surfaced, among numerous quarters, that young people should be imparted skills of safe driving at school though this view is not bereft of derision.

Formal tuition is being seen as a right place to train young minds about sensible driving; institutions imparting education shoulder the responsibility of nurturing all-round personality of young people, and today when safe driving, that requires  self discipline and control, is being increasingly regarded as an essential trait of a responsible and rational citizen, schools should don the mantle of training youth to be safe drivers.

Moreover, schools can provide conducive environment of learning: they have the resources and all the time to ensure an effective imparting of the content, using various tools and strategies equip students with the necessary knowhow. On the top of that, it is a general belief that when kids learn something among their peers, and that is imparted as a formal education under the guidance of aptly trained teachers, they tend to retain information for a long time.

However, these suggestions are not free of drawbacks, as critics point out. Schooling is a phase that primarily focuses on academic competence, that will help as kids professionals: there is no place, and in fact time, for a skill, like safe driving in an already overloaded schedule. If schools were to take up this task, it would be prove to be a distraction from primary objective, and futile - this knowledge cannot be applied until the legal driving age.

Overall, I feel that tutoring young minds about how to drive safely at school is an idea that is bereft of substance, and will largely remain ineffective, and cause distraction instead. Thus I disagree with this completely.

Life in the 21st century is better compared to the previous century. To what extant do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include relevant examples from your own experience in not less than 250 words.

Life in the 21st century is better compared to the previous century
Ielts Essay - 21st Century or previous century?
Even since humans settled down, they have made tremendous progress, often regarded as great achievement as per contemporary expectations. But, every next generation has tried to establish their superiority over predecessors. Continuing that tradition, many propose that current century is better off than the preceding century: though this is worth delving deep into.

If the current state of affairs is closely assessed, humans have taken big strides in ensuring a better quality of life: there have been prolific improvements in living conditions since there is enough food at last, and humans are rarely dying of hunger; life expectancy has improved substantially owing to availability of clean drinking water, and a phenomenal improvements in the field of medicine -  lesser and lesser people are being afflicted by terminal diseases and ailments.

Similarly, innovations in technology, especially introduction of  internet and better means of communication and travelling, have paved way to make globe a smaller place to live, and people can be seen trotting the globe for disparate purposes such as tourism, employment and education, and interacting with others across the planet without any inhibitions. This may well help foster better relationships among people of various parts of the planet.

However, current era has also generated its own set of problems; the most prominent are rising pollution, in all spheres of environment, and threat of nuclear war, which, if not dealt with appropriately,  would lead to a holocaust that may threaten not only the very human race but also bring the whole life on the planet to the brink of extinction.

Henceforth, I feel, despite many advancements in the current era, it is not correct to compare two periods, as every generation has done something to bring the human race to its present condition.

Physical education and sport should be compulsory for all students in all schools
Ielts Essay - Physical Education And Sports
An ever increasing concern over health of kids has prompted many to mull possibilities of making sports and physical education mandatory for each student in every school though this has prompted some to ridicule such a suggestion too.

Making physical education obligatory at formal tuition seems to be a practical idea since formal tuition are places where pupils spend most time of their day: the kids would follow the routine as a religion. A PE class will help rendering daily dose of physical activity, and help kids not only get a much required escape from the monotonous academic routine, but also help ensure fending off several ailments and maladies, like obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes that are afflicting children quite early on these days.

Additionally, intergarting sports with formal curriculum can help bring in multiple benefits: upteen studies have proven that involvement in some of team, or individual sports can prevent yongsters from engaging in drug and alcohol abuse; learn to lead a healthy life; promoting a sense of belonging towards  the team, and later towards the society that eventually help foster social skills required for a successful life as an adult.

However, a lobby publically derides making sports and PE binding for all students and schools by pointing at failings of such a egime: these extra-curricular activities would act as an unwarranted and a worthless distraction that may rob kids of their valuable time; distract them away from their studies, and eventually affect academic outcomes. As they propose, schools are primarily meant for instilling academic excellence, and not physical prowess.

In a nutshell, I personally feel, including gym class and sports in school study programs is surely a very constructive move: it will help bolster physical and mental wellness, and should be applied exhaustively.

Some people believe we need to pay higher taxes
Ielts Essay - Should we pay more Taxes?

Growing concerns regarding satisfying needs of populace has encouraged many to suggest that governments should charge more  taxes from citizens, whereas, there are others who are quite skeptical of this. But, what the state should do is a matter worth delving deep into.

Levying higher taxes seems to be quite justified. Inflation  is riding out of control that is making everything dearer, thus severely  hampering ability of authorities to lay even the basic goods and services at the disposal of inhabitants. Raising, or creating new provisions will help generating revenues to ensure appropriate funding for various welfare schemes for public support. It is firmly believed whatever taxpayers shell out accrues back to them in form of benefits.

Moreover, the proposal of raising collections by way of increasing levies is based on the fact that over the past few years, population, especially that of elderly who completely rely on government support,  has been rising exponentially which is clearly offsetting any attempts made in sustaining and improving the level of public support network. Everything costs money, and hence, as the governments are run on public funding, people must readily part with some more to compensate for the pressure created by an increased number of people.

Nevertheless, there are others who feel that such a step will be too harsh a treatment for already over-burdened tax-payers. It would make it hard for them to make adjustments in their budgets; and the authorities should instead focus on other innovative ways to raise money such as participating in commercial activities; running their own concerns that  foray into  profit making exercise.

Henceforth, I personally feel, exerting pressure on inhabitants by increasing burden of taxes will surely prove to be counter productive, and hence taxes should not be raised.

Many countries spend too much money on training of a few individuals for international sports competitions
Ielts Essay - Spending on international Sports
Since the turn of the twentieth century, every country has been allocating an increasing amount to training of sports practitioners for international competitions. This move carries several benefits for the society, but, nevertheless, this does not prevent critics from pointing out at its failings, and proposing diversion of funds for welfare of common populace.

Those against this notions suggest that funding of sports training and facilities seems to be a justifiable move: modern form of sports has become associated with national pride, and successful performers have been accorded the status of national heroes. Each sterling performance by players, in individual or team disciplines, on international platforms tends to raise stakes of a country as a sporting and a youthful society. This, in turn, helps bolster the image of a nation as being one that prioritizes welfare of people: outstanding players, directly or indirectly, reflect overall health index of natives.

Moreover, state participation in rendering financial assistance to sportsmen and women playing at international level is dubbed as a noble move: inspiring local populace to take up sports; thereby following some kind of sporting routine that can help them healthy and fit. A healthy population can directly contribute to the productivity of a country, and minimize public spending on health services.

However, those who vouching for this proposal express their strong reservations; there are better venues waiting for hard earned money of taxpayers, as they feel. Such extravagancies hardly do any good to those struggling to make both ends meet, and those subjected to leading a life in sub-human conditions, due to absence of certain crucial components that can only be taken care of by the state.

To conclude, I feel, pessimist view held by certain detractors of sports fails to hold water, and state funding of international sports should continue. Sporting activities can bring several direct and indirect benefits.

Many people believe it is the school’s responsibility to teach children not to eat junk food
Ielts Essay - Who should keep children away from junk food
Since a past few decades, fast food – bereft of any essential nutrition – has been gaining popularity among kids. A dire need is being felt to dissuade young ones from this faulty food habit, but who should take this responsibility: teachers or parents, is profoundly debated.

It would be quite justified a suggestion  if mothers and fathers were made to don the responsibility of fostering healthy eating habit among their kids since  they can set examples for kids. After all, sons and daughters are the responsibility of their parents, and most of the kids tend to follow precedents of their moms and dads: they are introduced to fast food by these very people only – who themselves indulge in enjoying junk food, so if the intake of food is controlled at home, children will follow the suit.

Furthermore, children fear their mothers and fathers the most, and hence tend to follow the discipline established at home: if the parent made it compulsory for their kids to avoid fast food, the children would have to comply. Many studies have clearly elucidated this fact, when parents tend to exert a strict discipline on what to consume and what not to, kids tend to follow those orders like sermons.

However, there are others who suggest that schools should take initiative in this direction. Such an argument is based on the fact that kids spend most of their time at school, among their classmates: they tend to follow the habits of their peers more closely, and if schools made it point to persuade pupils to consuming healthy intake, the kids would easily yield.

To conclude, I personally feel that keeping junk food out of little mouths will be only possible if both teachers and parent shouldered the responsibility jointly.

Online shopping is increasing dramatically. What are the effects of online shopping on the jobs and environment? How can the negative impact of online shopping be reduced?

Online shopping is increasing dramatically
Ielts Essay - Online shopping is increasing dramatically
Of late, online shopping has been experiencing a boom in business. This despite having certain positive outcomes for environment, has created a pressing situation for employment scenario. However, there are some productive ways to mitigate the adverse impacts of ecommerce.

E-shopping platforms have contributed remarkably in bringing down environmental pollution: shoppers do not need to travel to the markets and showrooms to buy goods anymore, as they get delivery of their merchandise at their doorsteps. As a consequence, the use of private conveyance has reduced substantially, since lesser number of delivery vehicles is required to deliver goods to multiple customers in a given area; thus reducing air pollution due to lesser and lesser fuel being burnt.

However, picture does not seem to be so rosy when it comes to employment: the job market for skilled people seem to be shrinking, which in long run will worsen an already rising unemployment. Ecommerce companies do not need to employ highly skilled personnel who usually manage marketing and sales departments, as they can get the work done with the help of tele-callers and delivery teams, which is also outsourced to specialized organizations who maintain dedicated teams of callers, drivers and delivery staff – that sans the requirement of any specialized education.

Nevertheless, consumers themselves can help minimize the unfavorable impact of online selling and buying: they should not abandon the habit of visiting shopping centers and malls altogether for the sake of buying online, and make use of offers and sops being extended by retailers. This will go a long in protecting interests of retailers, as well as the skilled professionals.

Henceforth, I personally feel, notwithstanding the onslaught of online commerce sites due to the benefits they offers, we can mitigate resulting problems by adopting a little sensitive approach.

Some people believe that wild birds or animals should be forced out of the city
Ielts Essay - Some people believe that wild birds or animals should be forced out of the city
Sightings of wild fauna in expanding cities have raised an alarm among city authorities and environmenatalists alike. They fear unwarranted consequences of such intermingling of humans and wild creatures. Some have gone to the extent of suggesting that wild animals and birds should be  shifted out of cities though there are voicees of dissent.

Shifting wildlife out of the cities seems to be a viable option, a suitable safegaurd for the wild creatures: instances involving interaction of humans and wild creatures have only resulted in poor wild creatures being at a receiving end. The bahavior of humans has been proven to be quite insensitive whenever these wild beings have intruded spaces of men: they have either shot or mowed down the animals and birds.

Furthermore, presence of these wild beings in the urbanized locations is also perceived as a threat to the public safety. There have been occasions when a stray carnivoran mammal, or bird has threatened humans, and caused distress. To avoid such instances, it henceforth becomes necessary to move such beings out, to ensure that they and humans remain away, at a distance, from each other.

However, many environmetalists consider such a move to be quite brutal in intent: it is humans who have invaded the space of wild fauna. If there is some threat, it is not to human beings, but to those animals and birds who have been stripped of their natural habitats; and now they have nowhere to go. Moving them out of the places might take them nearer to complete disappearance, for it is not clear whether they would be ablt adapt to a new environment successfully.

To conclude, I feel, that wild animals and birds should be allowed to stay in the cities though in some protected environments.

Many museums charge for admission while others are free. Do you think the advantages of charging people for admission to museums outweigh the disadvantages?

Many museums charge for admission while others are free
Ielts Essay - Many museums charge for admission while others are free

Museums, in many countries, levy access fee from visitors; it is considered to be quite unjustified by many. I, however, feel that museums should be allowed to impose entrance charges, as its benefits easily exceed drawbacks of such a practice.

Charging entry fee from the visitors seems to be fully justified, since these facilities are repositories of wisdom and culture of any society: that store sculptures, manuscripts, books and arte-facts connected to the past of a society. These specimen need to be subjected to regular restoration and salvation process, which of course need expensive treatments. As government grants are quite inconsistent and irregular, taking some money from visiting individuals seems to be the only way that can help generate a regular revenues.

Apart from that, access fee makes it easy for the museum authorities to generate more revenues for ongoing and future enhancements and expansions. Archeological excavations and additions to the cultural experiences are ongoing processes that keep churning out new specimen at regular intervals. The museums need to make these new arrivals available for public display that of course need more space. Such an endeavor cannot be afforded unless a huge investment is made.

However, detractors of admission fee to these archives vehemently defend their viewpoint. They feel that museums are meant  to introduce a local community to the world, and charging entry fee from the visitors would defeat the whole purpose, since people would keep away from such locations and go somewhere else to entertain – presuming the fact that museums act as venues of entertainment.

Henceforth, after assessing both the pros and cons of entry levies at museums, I am convinced that museums should be allowed to collect entry charges, as the benefits of charging entry outstrip drawbacks by miles.

There is certainly a difference in thoughts ideas and actions between children their parents and grandparents
Ielts Essay - There is certainly a difference in thoughts
Widening and deepening rift between the generations has always intrigued social theorists.  This has never failed to fascinate many experts: they are at their wits end to find causes behind this. But, does this lead to some problems or not, is a matter worth deep introspection though I personally feel that it does.

The strongest of causes that can be attributed to this issue is the era these people were born in. Where grandfathers and grandmothers were born in perhaps mid 1900s, and mothers and fathers in mid late century, most of the juveniles are born are in the 21st century. There is a gross difference in aspirations of the past and present, due to difference in access to sources of information about surroundings and the world: older generation relied on printed material, radio and television; the children rely on internet and social media.

Moreover, other major cause of contrasting viewpoints is the way people work, this is more associate to the speed with which these three generations work. While parents and grandparents were born in an era bereft of modern gadgets: they spent hours and days working to find out solutions and completing jobs, the new generation is more dependent on the modern equipment that helps them to  negotiate work effortlessly and quickly.

This lack of agreement in opinions is surely leading to a myriad of problems: the families are falling apart and people are abandoning old ways of life since the young generation does not want to share space or even live with their elders, which is leading to elderly living  alone fending for themselves, or moving to old age homes.

Hence, viewpoints of three different genrations can never  agree with each other, which is creating several social issues, that remain insurmountable.

Ielts Essay - Government should spend money to explore life
Availability of appropriate technology and tools has mankind to foray into a realm beyond our own planet. The governments across the world are spending huge money on trying to find life beyond earth, this though has also invited a lot of flak from various quarters.

One of the most prominent reasons for going farther than the outermost limits of atmosphere of our planet is to unravel the mysteries of deeper space; and discover any similar life forms on other planets, if any. This, as per many, could help humanity find solutions for near disaster like situation they have put themselves into. Travelling further from the territories we have already known so deeply could help us to find another civilization that might help us find another civilization that might be more intelligent; and that might surely offer some critical tips on how to survive aftermath of extensive pollution and a probable nuclear war.

However, there are strong voices of dissent on this issue, as many lobbies are cynical of such an ambitious endeavor. As per them, how can governments even think of investing valuable money of tax-payers in these alleged useless activities, just to satisfy list of some whimsical scientists, when there is so much be done back home, on this planet. Currently the biggest challenge being faced by humanity is to improve the living conditions on this planet, the top priority is surely on ensuring appropriate nourishment; providing clean drinking water; rendering critical health care; and educating masses to alleviate illiteracy. In such a condition, diverting public money is a crime, as the critics propose.

To conclude, I personally feel, despite widespread derision, the space exploration programs are laden with multiple benefits for humanity; hence they should continue receiving state support.

Some people support the development of factory farming and the science creation of fruits and vegetables in agriculture, but others oppose to these developments. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Last century saw intensive interaction of science with primary sector. Starting with mechanization; followed up by extensive use of chemical based fertilizers; then battery rearing of cattle; and now genetic engineering, the onslaught of technology has seemed unstoppable. Although it has been supported  by many, others are quick to deride it.

Advocates openly exalt involvement of science in primary sector, since integration of scientific concepts and research with primary sector  have resulted in improving the output  of agriculture and dairy farming. This has helped wipe out worries about people dying of hunger, that were primary concerns in previous centuries. One can easily say that humans have been able to ensure enough food at last, as outputs in agricultural, and dairy activities have soared in last few decades that has facilitated easy availability of food at a much cheaper price.

However, there are others who are quite cynical about the impact of use of modern technology in primary sector. The damage caused to the ecology by extensive use of artificially synthesized compounds in agriculture, dairy and marine industry has been colossal. Wide swathes of land are being stripped of natural flora and fauna; even the marine life is being affected adversely, as the fecal filth of cattle and fish is being indiscriminately dumped into the water bodies.

Moreover, to make the matters worse, this is also impacting the health of humans, thereby defeating the very purpose of the forays of technology. Animals, poultry, fish and crops are being administered synthetic hormones and medicines, which is exposing humans to lethal ailments; disorders; resistance to antibiotic in extreme cases, etc..

In a nutshell, even though farming on industrial scale may be carrying numerous drawbacks, it must be continued since solutions lies in accelerating development and not halting it.

These days more emphasis is being placed on university education. Vocational training is not encouraged, and thus there are few qualified trades people. To which extent do you agree or disagree?

These days more emphasis is being placed on university education
Ielts Essay - Universities and tradesmen
The current emphasis of universities on imparting academic disciplines has led to a profound analysis by various lobbies of educationalists and economists about the impact of this on availability of skilled trade specialists in labor pools. Some quote adverse effects, while others quash this claim.

It is undeniable, as per many, that today, it is hard to locate appropriate professionals, trained in specific occupations. The reason for this is quite obvious: varsities have disassociated themselves from the responsibility of  generating talent in specific trades, as many top-notch university professionals feel that their objective is to impart knowledge, and not some trade oriented program. This pushes students, pursuing courses at such venues, to endlessly seek perfection in academic realm, and when they are through with their studies, they end up confused, not knowing which occupation to join since they are virtually unfit for any specialized trade. Similarly, companies are feeling the pinch of not having being able to locate trade-ready people: most graduates hold general degrees that are useless in the professional realms.

However, there are some who out -rightly reject this opinion. There is a general feeling that if there is a dearth of specialized trades personnel in the labor market, it is due to certain other factors: the children are not simply interested in continuing studies after high school. They feel that education being granted at universities is instead preparing refined professionals who are capable of handling complex tasks in their occupations. Even though the entry of fresh talent is delayed by a year or two, the ones entering the market are quite capable and highly refined.

Hence, I feel, prioritizing academic disciplines does not in any way has an effect on the availability of trade-professionals, and whatever shortage is there, if any is due to other factors.

Ielts Essay - Streaming Students
Nowadays, as academic excellence is gaining prominence, people have started exploring ways to achieve it. Expert educationalists have come up with suggestions of educating pupils with outstanding capabilities separately, and also offering specialized training, while others voice their concerns over such a practice.

Grouping students on the basis of their intellect, can be of a great help to all students. The most prominent of the advantages will be: the gap in performance of outstanding and average, or below average students is eliminated; and all pupils get to study in an environment that is harmonious and stress free. Practice of streaming does also help in providing kids a level playing field where they compete with others who have similar capabilities.

Similarly, most of the bright young learners will reap rich benefits in this kind of  a setting, in form of an uninterrupted attention of teachers. It has been observed that in a classroom arrangement, the teachers tend to prioritize weaker pupils, which often results in slow and repetitive work. If the pupils are segregated on the basis of their learning abilities, teachers can focus completely on them. Moreover, such an arrangement can create opportunities for offering specialized courses as per inclination of young ones, owing to their inquisitive and quick learning skills.

However, some strongly point out at the failing of such an arrangement since young learners are denied a chance to interact with pupils of varied capabilities, the biggest losers being the average students; thus making them lose opportunities to enrich their experience and knowledge. This setting can offset the very objective and advantages of a harmonious educational system that proposes equality and homogeneity.

Henceforth, I feel, kids should be taught together in mixed ability classes instead of classifying them on basis of their intelligence.

Ielts Essay - A balanced diet or balanced meals
Health has been a matter of profound interest for everyone as it guarantees quality of life besides longevity, but what should be done to  ensure it, can it be done by taking balanced food, or does it need something else too? This question has perplexed humans since time unknown.

Relevance of right amount of nutrition is undeniable; it is the first and foremost requirement for well-being in all spheres: mental and physical. A human body is a dynamic system that is constantly functioning and that needs an uninterrupted refueling of essential elements, to supply body with energy needed for sustenance of vital functions – recover, repair, build and fight onslaught of disease and ailments. But, since humans unlike plants, are incapable of manufacturing required ingredients on their own, they need to consume a healthy diet loaded adequately with all necessary  components.

Moreover, food, with appropriate nutritional value is pivotal to weight maintenance and emotional stability. It is evidenced that proteins, carbohydrates calcium, omega 3, etc. play an important role in not only keeping the metabolism fine tuned, thereby helping the body to sustain weight at a healthy level but also help keep oneself away from depression, fatigue, and mood alterations; thus help in keeping a control on mental health.

However, there are many who do insist on the need to involve oneself in some kind of physical activity. Human bodies ever since humans evolved on this planet have craved for some kind of physical activity. Following some kind exercise regime is considered to be quite important since it helps the body to metabolize nutrients and toxins, thus keeping it free of any harmful elements and radicals.

Thus, I strongly feel, for a healthy life although balanced meals are a must, other factors cannot be ignored too.

Ielts Essay - Musical Instruments

Music, as most suggest and accept, is an integral part of human society; and is followed by almost everyone, but does this opinion really resonate at similar levels when it comes to playing musical instruments? There is an intense argument with support and dissent over this  issue.

Playing musical instruments – string, keyboards, or even percussion, etc. – helps ensure mental wellbeing. People practicing this activity can  de-stress themselves faster and better since they feel, while playing an instrument, to be having a complete control over what they are doing. This helps mitigate stress – which is caused mostly due to feeling of lack of  control over the surroundings and environment. Furthermore, being a good distraction from mundane that is free of any pre-set code of discipline, people playing some music themselves are able to escape the predictable routines, and relax.

Similarly, playing music on any apparatus, helps enhance concentration, patience and creative skills. It has been experienced that the ones playing music need to perform repetitive routines several times and many a time think out of the box. This gets interpreted in form of improved focus towards any work, increased patience to handle difficult jobs, and become creative – as people are able to develop unique way of working and finding solutions.

However, playing music is alleged carrying some strong demerits too. Many believe that this activity carried a potential of becoming an addiction, since the people getting deeply involved can indulge deeply and ignore all other important chores – including personal and professional. This can also turn out to be irritating for those around as individuals playing music tend to live in their own world that is bereft of reality.

In a nutshell, I believe that playing musical instruments can prove to be quite productive in long run.
