Ielts Essay - Musical Instruments |
Music, as most suggest and
accept, is an integral part of human society; and is followed by almost
everyone, but does this opinion really resonate at similar levels when it comes
to playing musical instruments? There is an intense argument with support and
dissent over this issue.
Playing musical instruments –
string, keyboards, or even percussion, etc. – helps ensure mental wellbeing. People
practicing this activity can de-stress
themselves faster and better since they feel, while playing an instrument, to
be having a complete control over what they are doing. This helps mitigate stress
– which is caused mostly due to feeling of lack of control over the surroundings and
environment. Furthermore, being a good distraction from mundane that is free of
any pre-set code of discipline, people playing some music themselves are able
to escape the predictable routines, and relax.
Similarly, playing music on
any apparatus, helps enhance concentration, patience and creative skills. It
has been experienced that the ones playing music need to perform repetitive
routines several times and many a time think out of the box. This gets
interpreted in form of improved focus towards any work, increased patience to
handle difficult jobs, and become creative – as people are able to develop
unique way of working and finding solutions.
However, playing music is
alleged carrying some strong demerits too. Many believe that this activity
carried a potential of becoming an addiction, since the people getting deeply
involved can indulge deeply and ignore all other important chores – including
personal and professional. This can also turn out to be irritating for those
around as individuals playing music tend to live in their own world that is
bereft of reality.
In a nutshell, I believe that
playing musical instruments can prove to be quite productive in long run.
