Why some feel experiences gained Before visiting the schools have an enduring impact 

  • Children are at a stage when their persona is evolving and any experience, good or bad, is going to have a lasting impact on them. 

  • Their language is also developing and their interaction is at stage when they learn the basic tenets(traits)  of interacting 

  • They  are delivered lessons of morality and righteous path of life by the way of stories in this age, that remains with them throughout their life  

Why some feel experiences gained teens have an enduring impact 

  • Children start appreciating their outward personality in relation to the world. 

  • They start discovering their professional inclination 

  • They start learning about their personal likings and start practicing them. 

  • Thay start forging long lasting social bonds 


A school of thought perceives that exposure gained before the start of schooling has a lasting impact on the persona, whereas some opine that it is the interaction carried out during adolescence that has the most significant effect.

Several eminent child behaviorists cite the outcomes of research carried out to gauge the effect of experiences one has been subjected to before the start of formal education on their personality. It has been noticed that pleasant events happening during that period help  form sweet memories and fuel optimism towards life, but fateful occurrences such as being abused during childhood can turn one into a sadistic and perverted individual, apathetic towards others. 

However, the other lobby rallies behind the idea that it is in fact the  incidents and the occurrences, besides the evolution of behavior taking place during the teen years, that have an overwhelming influence on the future. It is at this age when one starts discovering and appreciating their personal and professional inclinations, and start pursuing them with dedication and devotion. For instance, it is between 13 and 17 when youngsters choose a specific stream, namely science, arts or commerce for higher studies, and eventually, gain employment in those fields. Similarly, the hobbies adopted in this period are rarely abandoned. 

Moreover, it is the friendships formed during this tenure that are likely to continue for an infinite time. People  develop understanding for each other during the age of puberty , by virtue of being companions for one another since no one takes them seriously; nevertheless, they are reprimanded for the slightest of the errors.

Overall, even though both the views are relevant in their own virtue, the latter opinion holds more substance. The adolescents make crucial decisions that ultimately set the course of the future.
