Ielts Essay - Establishment of superstores has resulted in closure of small shops
It is an undeniable fact that mushrooming of large departmental stores has led to shutting down of small outlets. This is being considered as  extremely beneficial for multiple parties even though there are others who are quite cynical.

Opening of supermarkets has ushered the concept of going shopping into a new era; people now find it very convenient to go and buy things of almost every imaginative type - ranging from groceries and cosmetics to electronic equipment and apparel - under one roof.  They, no more, need to uselessly roam around in huge markets exhausting themselves while looking for different commodities since most of the large stores have different departments that do not only sell different goods but also offer a wide variety for disparate choices and tastes.

Moreover, large shops with sprawling carpet areas cater to a cross-section of consumers, from  diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, who can covertly shop for anything that suits budget and needs without letting anybody else know. This aspect has come in handy for people who are conscious about their social status, since most of large stores are located away from the usual neighborhoods, people now can buy anything - even on discounts and not let their peer discover anything.

However, this phenomena does have a dark side too, as now people are no more able to save money like they did when they shopped at small outlets. Whenever people would shop at smaller stores, they would get some merchandise on credit - since they enjoyed personal rapport with the shop-owners, who would oblige without much complaints and formalities and take balance in installments.

In a nutshell, I feel, despite big sprawling shopping centers having some shortcomings, they are going to spread further as they offer many benefits too.

Small shops in towns and villages are closing and replaced by big stores
Ielts Essay - Big Shops and Small Shops

Nowadays, it is quite common to see new mega markets or branches of some big retail chains opening up around, regardless of area - urban or rural, but are the large stores superseding smaller outlets, is a point to be pondered deeply.

It is undeniable that large format stores are being seen future of retail. Slowly but steadily, the crowds at the  small stores are thinning, thus making it hard for small scale businesses, with limited investments, to survive onslaught of large shops.  The reasons are quite obvious as large shops offer consumers a much wider  choice, in terms of merchandise types, prices, and brands. This is causing disenchantment, among buyers, from the local shops, which cannot offer anything comparable to mega stores.

Moreover, smaller outlets may soon become a thing of past as more and more investors are now choosing franchisees of big retail chains over independent ventures. In the times of worsening economic conditions, investors want to be assured that their money would not only remain secure but also guarantee fair returns. This can only be had if they opted for an arrangement that promises more fresh and zero dead stocks - without additional investments. This business model can only accessed if one chooses to become a franchisee of large chain stores.

However, many are optimistic that small scale outlets would survive, regardless of multitude of investments involved. The fashion of shopping at conventional stores refuses to  fade away since many feel that mega stores belong to an elite crowd that has an abundance of money and time to waste, and thus they still cling to the smaller neighborhood stores.

Hence, I feel even though many may feel that small format stores will cease to exist, that may never happen. Small-scale shops have existed and are still there as they address a different segment of market though these two format will tend to co-exist.

Some people say job satisfaction is more important than job security
Ielts Essay - Job Security or Satisfaction
What do most employees seek, contentment at work, or secure employment, has never failed to invite profound arguments from various quarters of society.

Being contented at work has always been accorded paramount importance; it is the primary factor that inspires workers to work dedicatedly, and churn out higher productivity. People working at various levels of an organization feel that whatever they do should yield a feeling of happiness and pride, a sense of achievement - they should be doing a work that matches their credentials and abilities. This aspect pushes many to work independently in an occupation of their liking, for they know that this would help them to innovate and also excel.

Furthermore, employees regard contentment as a major factor behind their sticking to a job. Many switch jobs if they feel that the organization they are working with does not have too much to offer, or if future prospects for further progression are too bleak. Their constant striving for more and more happiness is fuelled by many factors: financial aspects; and chances of promotion to the higher ranks; and last but not the least, the survival prospects of a business in the future.

But, there are others who feel that today, in an era of lean economic period, people have started looking for work that has certainty connected to their place in an organization, as joining such an concern would help them to plan their future better and with more surety. Professional aspirations apart, individuals feel that they first need to fulfill their social and family obligations before embarking onto a mission of realizing their professional dreams since it would give them freedom from worries back home.

Henceforth, I feel that both factors are equally important in these challenging times.

Ielts Essay - Many people think that every individual is responsible for their own healthy lifestyle
Increasing girth and blurring distinction between comfortable and unhealthy lifestyles has helped push forward the agenda of ensuring a good social health index, but who should bell the cat, the state or the people,  is a big question.

If the state dons the mantle of  ensuring a healthy lifestyle, it would be able derive a major benefit: save valuable  funds for other critical areas. It is widely accepted  that apart from defense, health care has always been a major obligation of a state, so much so that it occupies a lion's share of the annual budget. since this can either hamper or assist in raising economic productivity. A healthy population is key player in the progress of a nation; hence it is a social issue rather than being a personal matter.

Moreover, government intervention is highly critical to the well-being of populace since people, due to social and personal reasons, cannot take care of their health today. Several individuals find themselves locked up in occupations that entail mentally exhausting work, and little physical activity. This leaves them barely any time to take care of their physical and mental welfare. Besides this, shrinking disposable incomes have also fuelled apathy towards one's own health; people are unable to afford nutritious diets, as well as gym memberships.

However, some do profess that sustaining healthy mind and body is the jurisdiction of the people themselves. Until the individuals, engrossed completely in sedentary lifestyles,  do not convince themselves that they must follow a routine that ensures good health, all measures, or assistance are bound to fail and prove inconsequential.

In hindsight, I personally feel that a state should shoulder the initiative of sustaining healthy lifestyles of its countrymen, but only to a certain extent, so as not to encroach private lives.

If countries are serious about solving traffic problems, they should tax private cars very heavily and use the money to provide free or very cheap rail travel
Ielts Essay - If countries are serious about solving traffic problems, they should tax private cars very heavily and use the money to provide free or very cheap rail travel
Taxing personal four wheelers and funding subsidized rail travel from the revenues grossed from such levies, to keep a check on the traffic chaos, has emerged as a potent solution. Despite many lobbying for such a policy, there are voices of  dissent.

Imposing higher taxes on the car ownership seems to be the only way of dissuading use of personal automobiles. If car users are made to shell out charges, it would become nearly impossible for many to bear the cost of owning a vehicle, which would eventually cause disenchantment from possessing one; thus helping reduce burden on the roads and alleviating congestion.

Moreover, it is often argued, when every citizen is paying taxes to the state, why should the majority suffer for the sake of a minority interest and face jams. Extra levies on personal cars could even out the things.  Any extra revenue generated could help authorities address concerns of major part of populace, and lay subsidized  or free  public transport network the disposal of people. Such a move could also act a stimulus for the ones having their personal vehicles, to use public transport.

However, there are those who term this idea as ludicrous. Offering subsidized railway services at the cost of four wheelers may seem to be a good alternative, but it is surely impractical since trains cannot cater to all the areas effectively. This would only put those, who cannot access train services conveniently, at the receiving end since individuals, with no alternative but cars to their satisfy their commuting requirements, would be overburdened by costs of commuting, and heavy levies on automobiles.

Henceforth, notwithstanding popular belief of taxing personal vehicles to subsidize rail travel, I have all the reasons to believe that such policy would fetch little success.

Should there be a minimum school leaving age, or should students and their parents be free to decide when they leave school?
Ielts Essay - Should there be a minimum school leaving age, or should students and their parents be free to decide when they leave school?
There have been many an argument on the issue of whether the decision of leaving school at convenience should rest on kids, and their moms and dads, or should there be a minimum age for dropping schooling.

The idea of allowing pupils to stop attending schools appears to be quite ludicrous, since education imparted at the school level is highly critical for an overall development of personality of  kids. If schooling is  dropped in these formative years, it  can have an adverse impact on the future of children, as they may not be able to hone the skills - academic and soft - considered to be pivotal in helping a child grow as a rational adult.

Moreover, if kids and their parents were to decide on this matter, no one would complete formal education, especially in poor countries where child labor is rampant; and parents might be tempted to push kids into employment. This would ultimately lead to many unwarranted consequences; and may reduce the scope of appropriate employment opportunities for kids later. This would undoubtedly have a unfavorable impact on society too, since this may ultimately result in scarcity of skills required for jobs strategic to society.

However, there are voices of dissent on this issue, as many insist that continuing or not continuing schooling until a specified age should be within the purview of personal choices. Many feel that formal education is barely for namesake, and does not teach anything that could prove to be productive and helpful later. They feel that after completing high school, kids have to work harder to grab useful knowledge, so it always better not to waste time.

Henceforth, defining a minimum age for leaving the school is necessary, as it is for the good for society.

Solar energy is becoming more and more popular as a source of household energy in many countries around the world
IELTS ESSAY - Solar energy is becoming more and more popular as a source of household energy in many countries around the world

As the energy crisis deepens, many domestic users are slowly turning to nature, especially the sun, for harnessing power. The causes are too obvious as there are certain strong benefits associated with use of this source albeit some drawbacks.

A growing number are shifting to using this source of energy as it is not only a cheaper mean of getting electricity at their doorsteps but also offer a chance to earn. The frighteningly exorbitant power bills has persuaded a shift to this source since  although it may take some  investment in the start, it turns out to be quite affordable in the long run. Moreover, in certain countries, like UK, households have also been inspired by possibility of being able to sell surplus power to the national grid, thereby earning money through minimal efforts and investments.

The most prominent of the benefits of using solar power is its portability. Households have been primarily attracted to this source since they can easily install it at their homes: the solar cell units producing power occupy minimal space: they can be fitted even on the roof tops, and can be moved whenever required without expending too much money on relocating.

Nevertheless, there are some drawbacks associated with the use of this technology. Maintaining and operating these units is a tedious job since upkeep of batteries used for storing electrical charge need constant monitoring and maintenance, which needs people to use services of experts. Furthermore, this power is only available through the day and that also if it is a sunny day.

To conclude, despite having certain drawbacks, this energy source can prove  to be a potent alternative to other non-renewable sources, by virtue of being infinite and sustainable

Many people believe that economic development is necessary for a country’s success
Ielts Essay - Many people believe that economic development is necessary for a country’s success
Every country seeks economic prosperity, as it guarantees long term benefits for the inhabitants, but this method has always invited a lot of arguments between lobbies of those who see benefits in this, and those who are skeptical  of this way of making a nation successful.

Countries developing their economic might are able to reap rich benefits in form of increased economic activities. This helps in generating employment venues, for high skilled labor and professionals, that offer excellent salaries; thus boosting purchasing power of the consumers, which in turn leads to higher production, business and finally more employment. Governments can also gross higher tax collections that can be invested in furtherance of development, including research and development of better technologies that would undoubtedly help a nation to a prosperous future too.

Similarly, inhabitants of a financially strong economy can enjoy spoils of prosperity and a healthy human development index. Such nations can offer a good quality of life to the citizens in form of better support services, like excellent educational venues and resources, a good healthcare network, appropriate unemployment and old age support. People can also get benefits in form of quality transport and recreational facilities.

However, prioritizing economic progress does have its downside too, since in an attempt to boost development , countries quite often tax and damage environment beyond repair. Establishing industry and commercial locations; creating quality dwelling areas for the inhabitants, etc. results in clearing of  forest, thereby destroying natural habitats and damaging ecology. Moreover, as a nation progresses, riding on a wave of consumerism, pollution registers a spike bringing along damage to all three spheres of environment.

Henceforth, despite carrying numerous positives, focusing exclusively on economic progress can prove to be expensive if other aspects of progress are ignored.

Ielts Essay - Nowadays people from different countries watch and enjoy the same films
People, all across the world, today are believed to be having similar tastes in many walks of life, especially in the realms of entertainment and clothing,  even though it is for sure, this phenomenon has its own strengths and failings.

It is quite true that inhabitants of various countries at large, across the length and the breadth of the globe, have developed similar tastes. They are influenced by global trends due to the advent of ever expanding internet and social media. These factors have fuelled a strange trend -individuals are getting a wide exposure, due to open and convenient interaction, and they are often found discussing various things amongst themselves which ultimately has helped develop similar tastes.

This phenomenon has brought in great benefits, as people now behave like inhabitants of a global village. One can experience a sweet bonhomie among the natives of various cultures, societies and countries. This is a quite positive development as it indicates fostering similar views and aspirations which may lead to creation of harmony among the citizens of planet some day and bring in an end to a constant tussle and conflicts.

Nevertheless, whatever may be the case, there are serious shortfalls of this shift, as we may see many cultures and languages, especially of the poor countries disappearing soon. It can be clearly experienced that similar aspirations are being supported and promoted by dominant   cultures and languages of specific nations; this has led others to believe that they belong to inferior societies, and thus people, especially the  youth, are not interested in perpetuating their native cultures further.

Henceforth, people across the world have started developing similar tastes, but despite having several benefits this trend does have serious shortfalls, and we might see the fallout of such aspects pretty soon.

Some people believe that money is more important than free time for a good quality of life
Ielts Essay - Money or leisure
In a struggle to make both ends meet and make life better, people are lost in the humdrum of earning more and more money. But does being cash rich make life really good? It is a topic to ponder seriously as some people really value free time for a good living.

Inclination towards healthy finances has obvious reasons.  A good financial standing is considered to be a critical component for a good living standard since this factor can help people to procure everything deemed necessary for a comfortable life. A big house, swanky cars, a various modern gadgets that make life simpler, etc. have become a fad  among the masses, and these can only be had if one has enough to pay for and bear connected expenses. Moreover, ensuring a good education for kids is also a factor that counts up to a good life, and for that too, money is a vital aspect.

Similarly, healthy economic background has a valid case to be seen as a pivotal factor for many since only rich can enjoy a lavish lifestyle. Travelling overseas and to exotic locations for vacations; staying in plush hotels; and dining out in trendy places and eateries, is regarded as a true indicator of happy living, and the ones who cannot afford, are deemed as sub-humans and looked down upon.

Nevertheless, those prioritizing leisure time over money cite their own rationale. As per them, humans are social animals and for that they need some free time. This helps to rejuvenate, relax, as well as leave some time for the family and friends to experience the real pleasures of life: the closeness and intimacy.

Henceforth, although people have heterogeneous views on this issue, I feel both the aspects have a pivotal role to play in the quality life.

Ielts Essay - Violent Games
Electronic media has overwhelmed mindsets of humans today, especially kids are the most vulnerable group since they are easily influenced by the content of these modern means of entertainment. This is surely having numerous negative effects on the young minds, however, solutions to cope up with this problems are available on hand.

It has been observed violent content being showcased is distorting the growing mindsets. Children, after watching such content or playing such games try to emulate whatever they see or experience. This often results in aggressive behavior: many studies suggest that juveniles, as innocent and ill-informed they are, tend to re-enact what they experience in the graphic content with their peers, family members and around. The impact of such violent content can be substantiated from the reported rise in juvenile crimes that range from petty shop lifting to instances of more serious nature, such as carjacking and even homicides.

However, many social theorists and child psychologists are of the opinion that  the evil can be nipped in the bud itself if some cautious and judicious steps are taken meticulously. These may include regular and close monitoring by parents and counseling the children from to time to enlighten the growing minds about the difference in the virtual world and the reality. Parents could even use some out of the box methods such as involving themselves in the activities with the kids and discussing various aspects of games and programs. Apart from this, some stern steps could also be taken: imposing a complete ban on games, serials and activities that propagate and promote aggression.

Henceforth, I personally feel despite content depicting savagery being galore, situation can be handled by taking certain prudent steps and keeping children under close vigil.

Many nations like to host international sporting events
Ielts Essay - Sports Extravaganzas
International sporting carnivals have become a fad among the global community, and many big cities constantly vie for hosting these events, but there is a lobby that is vehemently criticizes such hosting attempts. Both cite several reasons to support their viewpoints.

Getting a chance of organizing games, like Olympics, not only helps a nation portray its image as being young and full of flair, to the outer world, but also stimulate interest among the locals towards sports. When a city is chosen for an edition of such large-scale festivals, its sports infrastructure gets a much required injection of critical funding and support. Such development helps inspire inhabitants of the host city, as well as country to participate actively in sports; thereby encouraging healthy lifestyles.

Moreover, getting an opportunity to be a venue of such global level carnivals helps stimulate activity in various sectors and areas of the local economy, tourism being most prominent of them all. When visitors from other parts of world arrive as followers of teams and spectators, they visit other parts of the city and the country. In the process, they make use of infrastructure and services; buy goods, etc. thereby leading to a spur in business and employment.

However, the detractors of such occasions cite several reasons for their criticism. Cities acting as venues of such global level events tend to waste a lot of public money in useless extravaganza by way of spending immense amounts on first constructing and later maintaining facilities meant to host matches and games; resulting in huge public debt that takes long to repay back, thus taxing the governments and the people.

Henceforth, I believe criticism may be true to some extent, organizing global level games has several long-term benefits

Today many celebrities are famous only because of their wealth and glamour
Ielts Essay - Ricj celebrities

Luxurious lifestyles and wide acclaim of noted public figures have always fetched accolades and brickbats. Where the cynical always flay these people and profess that such widely acclaimed personalities, because of their prosperity and popularity, influence youth negatively, there are others who think quite differently.

Celebrated personalities always have had a harmful impact of the psyche of the young people. It is common attitude of humans, especially the young ones, to be overwhelmed by the lavish lifestyles of the influential and well known. And, in the case of much closely followed by paparazzi, and receiving wide reviews become ideals for many young in a wrong way. The youth try to emulate extravagant lifestyles of such celebrated and end up taxing the financial resources of either their own, or of their near and dears.

Apart from that, they sometimes also end up day-dreaming about a non-existent fame and start living in a world of fantasy. This can either turn them completely indifferent towards their obligations, or overtly aggressive and demanding – both the developments are considered to be potentially hazardous.

However, there is a lobby of optimists that out rightly dismisses the fears of critics and terms their apprehensions as a pessimist fantasy. The ones considered as epitomes of popularity, prosperity and success have never failed to inspire the young generation; the relentless struggles of these highly accomplished and wealthy personalities have always defined the benchmarks of exemplary life and achievements for the youth. The young fans do not only solely follow the lifestyles of their favorite stars but also read between the lines as they deeply explore the lives of their model characters.

Hence, I personally feel that the wealthy and popular people in no way cast an unholy shadow on their young fans: it is rather the natural propensity of individuals that makes them go astray.

Some people think that if a country is already rich any addition in economic wealth does not make its citizens happier
Ielts Essay - Some people think that if a country is already rich any addition
Ever increasing prosperity of elite nations has made social theorists curious about the level of feeling of well-being of the inhabitants of such nations. Some feel that the scale of contentment has somehow stagnated, and no further development can raise this level, while others feel quite differently.

Economies that made considerable progress over the years, as elucidated by facts and figures of recent surveys, are now facing a saturation point since the economic prosperity has reached a plateau where no further ascent is possible. In the past, people were enthusiastic about every new improvement in the economic conditions, but that sentiment has gone missing now, as the expectations of people have perhaps risen further that can never be attained by indulging in consumerism.

On the tops of that, rising levels of incomes do not have to necessarily mean that feeling of well-being is increasing parallelly.  Life in such countries has become harder due to rising inflation; shifting focus of home-grown industries to outsourcing cheap labor and other resources, etc. This is leading to a rise in unemployment and reduction in opportunities for business in the local jurisdiction. Even though people are getting appropriate and adequate support from the governments, lack of productive engagement among the citizens is resulting in higher discontent.

However, it can be easily argued that the rising prosperity does bring along a sentiment of optimism since the inhabitants of prosperous economies feel far more secure about their, as well as their kid’s and sibling’s future. Also, they experience a feeling of eternity since they are able to fulfill their obligation towards humanity, by helping poor in other parts of the world.

Hence, I feel that despite many presenting optimism about this phenomenon, an increment in prosperity of rich countries does not signify a parallel rise in level of contentment.

Many people believe that they should spend their money to enjoy life at present.
Ielts Essay - Spending or Saving Money?
“To be thrifty or to be prodigal”, has been an eternal dilemma for humans. People with disparate opinions have always lived at poles; each criticizing viewpoints of others, but is it really worth it to save money for days to come, or spend it to experience delights of life?

Saving money for later has always been the first sermon a child receives from parents. This has several deeply embedded benefits: it makes people think prudently in every walk of life, and stay away from extravagancies. Such households always turn out to be quite judicious, and can bring around numerous benefits for the society as a whole too: an economy gets critical funds from investments made by way of long term savings.

Moreover, savings are a great way to secure future. Money put into reserves, or into some schemes that help preserve funds enables creation of a cushion for bad times, especially for coping up with emergencies, like illness, accidents, unemployment, etc.  Moreover, people habitual of setting aside some part out of their earnings can make use of savings to live life comfortably later.

However, many are averse to keeping aside financial resources for future consumption since there is a growing insecurity among people regarding their future. This can be attributed to uncertainty about the future due a stressful and a busy life where people have little time to fulfill their family obligations, so they spend extravagantly on every little occasion they get to celebrate. Moreover, as people grow old, they may be inflicted with some disease which may rob them of opportunities to enjoy, so they enjoy in the present.

Henceforth, I conclude, being thrifty is surely a good practice, but being a miser is something that should be avoided.

Air travel is cheap these days allowing ordinary people to travel further
Ielts Essay - Cheap Air Travel

Despite, air travel becoming affordable due to cheap price of tickets it is also drawing a lot of flak on account of being most polluting medium of transportation. This is prompted some to suggest that air tariffs should be raised in order to bring down the pollution.

Affordable airlines tarrifs have truly changed the face of the world.  The benefits are too obvious: low cost of travelling by air has helped foster a sense of equality among the masses – by virtue of people from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds being able to use airlines to travel to various far-off destinations. Today, it is easy to find people frequenting airports to travel for expanding their businesses and seeking employment in really distant and formerly unapproachable locations.

Similarly, reduced air tariffs have stimulated an unprecedented growth in tourism and travel industry, and created opportunities for a harmonious environment. Now, people from various walks of life can plan journeys to destinations, for leisure and vacations, of their choice, regardless of their incomes. This travelling across to various distant destinations has created opportunities for intermingling with natives of those locations, and thus develop a sense of brotherhood.

However, the environmentalists attribute most of the problems related to deteriorating environment to an increase in the number of aircraft flying. A rise in number of planes taking to skies has led to a spike in use fossil fuel, thereby increasing gas emissions. Moreover, this has also led to increase in size of airports, which is of course done by clearing green cover.

Henceforth,  although aircraft are a major source of pollution, raising ticket prices would not help, and instead would prove counter productive. The need is to find greener alternatives to fossil fuels since solution lies in accelerating development rather stopping it.

Businesses and Sports

Popularity of sports has been duly appreciated by many businesses, and they have started using this realm as a medium to publicize and spread their popularity, by way of infusing money. While this trend may have some benefits, it is hard to ignore shortcomings.

Whatever sports is today, is because of funding by corporate sector. Investments in huge multitude into various sporting disciplines and events – by way of sponsorships and advertising – have helped transform sports into an industry. The sports bodies can easily raise critical funds needed to finance various functions associated to promoting sports and organizing championships; right from hiring players; paying for uniforms to arranging and maintaining venues; and relaying matches and games across the world absolutely free of cost for the viewers.

Furthermore, money being infused by the commercial organizations has helped transform sports into a full-fledged and a lucrative employment venue for many, thus creating direct and indirect employment opportunities for millions – especially young have started taking up this activity as their fulltime engagement. Not just that, involvement of corporate money has helped sports proliferate among the fitness freaks who have started involving themselves at amateur levels to pursue their individual goals of fitness.

However, entry of business entities into realm of sports has darker shades too. Now the sports is no more about sport man spirit and creating harmony among people, but about adopting aggressive strategies and ensuring victory at any cost. This often results in bitter spat among the rivals, as well as their fans; thus taking away all the charm out of the spirit of fair competition.

Ielts Essay - Work LIfe Balance
Life in modern times entails complex working styles that often cause imbalances in professional and personal lives. There have been long and endless discourses over creating equilibrium between family and work. Social theorists often elucidate the issues associated with this, and also suggest ways to rectify work-life conflict.

Today, seven out of ten adults are engrossed in a struggle to keep the work-life conflict at bay, but are seldom able to achieve this feat since they prioritize their professional commitments over their family obligations. This quite often makes them dedicate most of their time to work, or on phones and laptops, when at home. Many feel that it is necessary to keep the work on the priority, or they may be superseded by the ones who can perform better.

Moreover, shortage of time is also a leading to an office-family life clash. Commuting to the offices, and back home, apart from very brief gaps between different tasks leaves little time for the families. Every day, working individuals spend an enormous amount of time in travelling, and squeezing in multiple tasks within the stipulated time. This taxes them both physically and mentally, thus leaving them too drained to think about doing a balancing act between their offices and homes.

However, striking a balance between the personal and professional routines is not a far cry. Managing the time well, like leaving home 10 minutes earlier can save hours wasted in commuting; allocating a predefined time to every task, and leaving unfinished task for next slot, etc. Under no circumstances, time to be devoted to family chores should be sacrificed.

Hence, although striking a harmony between professional and family lives may seem to be an uphill task, it is not at all difficult. A little meticulous approach can help surmount this not so new problem.

Some people think that you need more money to be happy, while others prefer to have more free time than money. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Some people think that you need more money to be happy, while others prefer to have more free time than money. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Quest for happiness has always intrigued humans as they explore various ways to attain this elusive goal. There is a complete disagreement over the factors that lead to contentment since everyone has quite disparate views: some suggest money holds the key to being happy, while others suggest more leisure time is critical to this state of mind.

Being rich has always made people feel elite since it becomes easy for them to possess all the imaginable luxuries and comforts: one can freely party and socialize with friends, and nears and dears at will; go on vacations whenever one feels like, get education in the best of institutions, etc. Apart from that, being financially better off, are considered elite among friends, peers and society, and such individuals always hog the limelight.

Besides this, having sumptuous amount of income can also help people  fulfill their philanthropic inclinations and obligations; thus making them feel eternally happy. It is believed that, “Only one’s having ample resources at their disposal can be of real help to others”. Performing charity is a good way to attain eternity with the God, and charity is only possible if one has enough to give away comfortably.

However, how far can materialistic possessions go in ensuring happiness if the leisure time is missing? Having some free moments is considered to be more critical than anything else in this world. Getting some time to spend with oneself – in solace, and nears and dears always fetches satisfying and pleasant experiences. This not only helps in forming and strengthening relationships but also experiencing life to the fullest, in all its manifestations.

Henceforth, I feel although many may vouch for any single factor, financial standing, or spare leisure time, both are important in their own virtue.

Ielts Essay - Wild Life Projects
Striking the right balance between protecting environment, and continuing progress has become a thorny issue for almost every government, but more recently the focus seems to be shifting to protecting the wild fauna and flora, which of course has both some drawbacks and also great amount of benefits.

Protecting wildlife in all its manifestations is very critical to maintaining a correct balance in the ecology on the planet. The life, in all its variations and forms is strongly interlinked to each other. If even one of them goes missing, others would follow soon, and the ones left behind would surely be adversely affected. Wild animals and plants benefit humans in many ways; they ensure availability of pool of genetic diversity; ensure a clean environment by alleviating pollution levels; and, trees and green areas also act as the lungs of planets.

Furthermore, wild areas hold many secrets that could be of great help to humanity. Wild animals, humans, and plants share a long association – that has lasted over a millions of years, and each carries encoded references in the genetic build up about the evolution of life on the planet. This relationship is very critical to study of planet; its evolution; and changing conditions and environment, which can help to reveal several critical facts and also find solutions that may prove helpful for preserving life on this planet.

However, development should not stop at any cost, as some feel, for with the rising human population, it is becoming extremely important to provide, food, shelter, employment, health care to the people. This cannot be ensured unless governments prioritize new initiatives to develop, even if at the cost of wild life.

To conclude, saving wildlife is surely a noble task and critical to balanced life on this planet.
