IELTS ESSAY Some parents and teachers believe that children’s behavior should be strictly controlled |
With the changing times the concept ofparenting has transformed largely and more and more people have startedpracticing principles of relaxing their control over the younger generation andletting them learn the basics of life on their own. Some people however arestrictly against this and profess the old system of keeping a tight vigil overthe children in their growing years.
The social behavior experts who suggest the
idea of relaxing the control over the sons and daughters feel that the times
have changed a lot and today a growing kids has an ample amount of exposure to
and interaction with the outer world and this can help them grab scores of
invaluable knowledge from these mediums for e.g. media like internet and
television present many opportunities for a young one to grab as much as he or
she can absorb.
Quite contrary to this new concept of
parenting, many sections of the society are comfortable with the old ways of
teaching the children about life and restricting their actions and reactions as
per the old conventions as they feel that a growing child has a tender mindset
and cannot differentiate between good or bad and this can have serious
implications on maturing kids as they are exposed to danger to being exposed to
those things also which are deemed to be hazardous for their personality and
their life.
Moreover, some people think it is always
better to use the experience gathered by the parents to guide the younger generation and pass them
on the wisdom and the knowledge as this would ensure a safe adulthood for these
children.
In conclusion I feel that the conventional
thought holds more logic and relevance than the new concept of letting loose
the control on children
