Some people prefer to
spend their lives doing the same things and avoiding change. Others,
however, think that change is always a good thing. How has change affected the lives and why are some against change. Discuss and give your own opinion. Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Change
has been a very controversial subject since ages. The society has
always lived at the poles on this Issue. There have been revolutions and
renaissance through the ages. Even today the there is a strong contrast
between the aspirations of the people who prefer the dynamism of change
and those who prefer traditionalism.
There
are those who believe that change is to innovate, that radically
effects their thinking and lives, and has gone miles in
improvising everything around producing phenomenal results, e.g. innovation resulted into invention of aircraft which made globe a
smaller place, otherwise people would never have been able to travel the
way they do today, but spend a whole life exploring seas.
Besides
this, some feel, transformation is inevitable. The way people express, dress up it has been transforming over the centuries. The aspirations
also change, which fuel innovations in every sphere of life, be it communications, fashion, housing, and so on, transforming the way the world is visualizes. To corroborate, revolution on the global relationships has converted the world from the water tight ghettos into a global village.
Nevertheless, the orthodox follow principles and guidelines laid down by their
ancestors like a religion, and these are the only sermon to them. They
are never imagine deviating even slightly from the basics. That has some
kind of security perceptions about the remaining in the same age old
casts and doing the same things through ages, to exemplify, the orthodox
communities in the various parts of world denounce even the modern means of
entertainment.
In
conclusion, I would insist that although the conservatives play the role
of the guardians and preservers of the traditions and culture, the
progressive thought always definitely has had an upper hand.
