Nowadays leisure
industry products and modern gadgets are widely used by young people. The use
of these products reduces the young generation’s creativity. Do you agree or
disagree with this statement? Give your own opinion.
Use of modern technology has always fetched both accolades
and brickbats, as supporters and critics have their arguments to prove their
points. Many feel that the advent of latest hi-tech leisure equipment being
produced by various companies has impeded creativeness among the younger
generation.
Availability of modern equipment has encouraged young
people, especially the students to abandon their exploratory skills, and rely
on the modern facilities being extended by IT. No more do the young people use
their instincts and logic – in exploring material to resolve issues and problems
– to complete the tasks, but instead they simply use handy gizmos to do most of exploratory work. For instance, it
is being observed that whenever the students get an assignment, they simply
browse the internet; access web portals; and copy paste whatever they come
across. Visiting libraries; reading books; and conceptualizing an original work
have become things of the past. Furthermore, the young generation, due to being able to access
various services from the comfort of various indoor settings, shuns active
social life. They seldom go out for shopping and meeting others – that used to
help in picking important tips about social behavior and hone observation
skills.
However, the other school of thought does not concur with this notion. As per them, modern technology has instead afforded the much
required launch pad to the growing ups to explore ways of picking up, refining and implementing
their creative skills. Now, the young
learners are better equipped to expose the world to their abiilties. To corroborate, one using computer-based music creators, do not need one to focus on fine tuning their manual instruments, but can focus on improving their music notes and create masterpieces easily.
Overall, disputes aside, although many do support this notion, humans, especially yooungsters have learnt to adapt to the new ways and deploy them to bolster their resourcefulness. Thus, I fail to acede to this statement.
