The idea of proscribing publicity for some edible items, to prevent the populace from overconsuming these, has fetched mixed reactions, with some supporting it, based on an assumption, others dissenting vehemently.

Proponents of this arrangement argue that ads engender a craving for the use of nourishment often laden with sumptuous unhealthy ingredients, contributing to obesity, diabetes, and other ailments. Thus, such restrictions could prevent one from falling prey to the temptation stimulated by aggressive advertising, safeguarding public health. It has been seen that unhealthy eatables: pizzas, commercial pastas, and so on,  produced using superstimuli that often agitate taste  buds, sending customers, especially youngsters into  binge eating, and  overriding real hunger. However, this policy would protect younger generations from inculcating poor eating habits that could jeopardize wellness.

Nevertheless, critics are unconvinced and consider this measure as a way to circumvent the fundamental challenges facing poor health of citizens. Poor public health  index, despite being attributed to surfeit consumption, is an outcome of ignorance of healthy food regimes rather than promotion. Most are so overwhelmingly engaged in fulfilling their professional obligations that they have little gumption left for planning ideal nourishment: in routine, and in quantity. Consequently,  even without advertisement, they are likely to continue consuming food excessively. A Finnish experiment from Finland corroborates this, wherein the subjects were offered classes in nutrition and eating regimen. The outcomes of this education were amazing; most even after eating advertised meals were able to curtail their craving and eat correct portions.

In conclusion, circumscribing advertising for certain foods to combat overeating is unlikely to diffuse the situation: this might fetch some short term gains, but will remain ineffective in the long since gluttony is driven by absence of adequate knowledge about appropriate food value and size of servings.

Nowadays many people, with families, leave their country to work abroad. Do you think the benefits of this trend outweigh the disadvantages for the families? Give your opinion and include any relevant examples

The proliferation of globalization has precipitated,   the rising incidence of exodus of individuals to foreign countries, especially the affluent ones, for employment, better future for kin and so on. This decision is complex, and is associated with both brighter and darker shades. .

To begin with, working abroad can provide families with umpteen benefits: better compensated jobs, career advancement opportunities and a higher standard of living. For example, migrants may be able to secure positions in giant companies that offer attractive salary packages, benefits and opportunities for professional growth, not easily accessible in home countries. Additionally, their wards get unprecedented exposure to diverse cultures that can enrich their education, broaden their perspective, and foster intercultural competence, preparing them for success in an increasingly globalized world.

However, the benefits of such propensity must be weighed against the potential pitfalls, particularly if the family gets separated from the home country, the social networking is disrupted by staying at home and individuals become more emotionally depressed. One of the most significant challenges facing such families is missing their extended network, social support and familiar surroundings that may lead to isolation, loneliness and homesickness, particularly for spouse and children, struggling to adapt to an alien environment.

Expanding upon some of the other problems faced include young ones getting overwhelmingly engaged with the new exposure, they end up becoming confused, emotionally detaching from their parents, for they desire to embrace foreign lifestyles. They become more inclined towards their newfound friends, often causing arguments with parents, behavioral problems, academic difficulties, and even adjustment issues.

In conclusion, although there are both benefits and umpteen disadvantages, they do not exceed each other, but depend on the individual prerogative. Thus, such decisions should be carefully made, by evaluating individual and family benefits, values and aspirations.

The international community should reduce or eliminate the debts of the world’s poorest countries. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The international community should reduce or eliminate the debts of the world’s poorest countries. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

When impoverished countries are suffering due to lack of resources, many have started suggesting that the world should come together to pardon loans or mitigate the dues. I partially concur with this proposal and shall explain my stand in this essay.

Those supporting this idea propose this will allow destitute nations to invest the money saved into providing basic and advanced facilities to their citizens: food and shelter, healthcare, education, a healthy infrastructure that can create abundant employment opportunities. This will allow citizens of these countries lead a better and heathy lifestyle, where in they will have access to world class amenities and employment, and elite nations will be able to use the cheap labour, raw materials and facilities like transportation, allowing both the parties to draw benefits.

On top of that, this will resolve several universal problems facing global society that of illegal migrations, global crime: high-seas piracy, drug trade, and so on, and diseases, especially the infectious ones like Ebola and Covid, that generally emanate from economically weaker regions, turning the world into a better place to live.

However, some are skeptical of this policy and express their concerns that this is might prove to be counterproductive. The beneficiaries could become used to such relaxations and stop investing their efforts in developing themselves, and this might fan corruption, as has happened in some African and South Asian regions, wherein local regimes have abandoned creating plans for future, and rich and  influential have resorted to siphoning off benefits, leaving the destitute high and  dry.

In hindsight, this kind of relief, even though can bring benefits, it should be used discreetly because every poverty- stricken county might not qualify for this relaxation, by virtue of taking this facility for granted.

Telecommuting is growing in many countries and is expected to be common for most office workers in the coming decades. How do you think society will be affected by the growth of telecommuting?

The trend remote working is proliferating fast; a lobby vehemently opines that this trend is going to endure and will afford both favorable and unfavorable impacts.

This arrangement will render unprecedented convenience by allowing online negotiation of professional obligations from the comfort of homes, allowing more quality time for families owing to big time savings on account of commuting time. Also, it will be possible to spare some time to focus more on physical and mental wellness: taking meals on time and also devoting some time towards exercises. These things cumulatively are anticipated to render mental satisfaction, enabling striking a correct a right balance between professional and personal lives.

Additionally, the indirect effect of this will be felt on the environment in the long run, by virtue of traffic snarls, especially during peak hours becoming a thing of the past, as fewer individuals will be traveling to and from their work places, thereby mitigating emissions from fossil fuels dramatically, and thus, alleviating air pollution.

However, the social circle of those operating from home might gradually diminish; they may not get an optimal chance to interact professionally and socially face-to-face. Furthermore, this evolution might have a dominos effect; the business of companies manufacturing uniforms, or serving workers with food and refreshments - such as tiffin careers of Bombay in India - a crisis could descend as the demand for such products and services would decline, creating joblessness in ancillary sectors, and affect society and the economy adversely.

In hindsight, disputes aside, telecommuting is a path breaking concept and even though there are going to be some downsides, those engaging in such work settings will be able derive unprecedented versatile benefits: the pitfalls can be overcome with prudent steps.

Some people say that it is possible to tell a lot about a person’s culture and character from their choice of clothes. Do you agree or disagree?

Some people say that it is possible to tell a lot about a person’s culture and character from their choice of clothes. Do you agree or disagree?

Some people say that it is possible to tell a lot about a person’s culture and character from their choice of clothes

There is a common perception that clothing can reveal the personality and the cultural background of an individual. Even though this statement holds substance, there are enough grounds to refute it.

To start with, the  opinion about the attire divulging how a one behaves at personal and social level is founded on a traditional thought process, or rather an assumption, that proposes that the fitting, the colors, the choice of fabric, the styles and the appearances of the outfits announce what kind of persona, covert or overt, a individuals holds: extroverts and socially active are generally seen sporting clothing that is in vogue and generally bright in colors and ambience, whereas the ones not interacting with the society as much as their outgoing counterparts are generally casual in their approach are seen dressed-up in socially unconventional ways.

Having said that, the conventional view is fraught with inconsistencies: judging a personality is an onerous task in the contemporary world that is highly globalized. Barring a few, most have embraced universal styles of dressing themselves up, and have broken free of old conventions, thereby making it hard to determine their attributes, in terms of their character, personal and social aspirations, and their conduct.

Moreover, as per several established social theorists and human behaviorists, it is the personal traits and the approach of an individual that determines the nature, psyche and interaction with the surroundings, and clothing is a poor, or rather a deceptive determinant of the facades. To corroborate, consumers, regardless of their personal orientation - outgoing, or held back - tend to emulate popular and powerful personalities while their behavior remains unaffected.

In hindsight, despite an enduring conventional belief that how one attires themselves reveals their character and psyche, I strongly inclined to believe that it is the innate characteristics that disclose inward and outward persona of an individual.

In many countries around the world young people decide to leave their parents’ home once they finish school. They start living on their own or sharing a home with friends. Is this a positive or a negative development? Give reasons for your answer and include relevant examples.

It is being observed that youngsters, after completing their formal tuition, choose to be on their own. Many suggest that this afford umpteen benefits as fosters a sense of independence. However, a lobby does not align with the former view and believe that its demerits outweighs the merits.

To begin with, the view which leans towards the positive aspects of newly developing propensity believe that it makes the young individuals more responsible and independent; they do not rely on their fathers and mothers for financial support anymore. They start working, either full-time or part-time, in order to make a living. This aids in instilling confidence in them, making them capable of handling challenges, and eventually coaching them how to carry themselves around successfully. On top of that, it also afford colossal  pros to the parents as they do not have to look after their young ones and can enjoy their life after working for several years, allowing them a free life without needing to care for their wards.

On the other hand, there are few challenges that are involved in such a lifestyle. As young individuals start to live with other housemates, they might get easily influenced by them, and as there is no one to monitor them, whom they have to answer for any misconduct, many fear that they might go astray, and pick up bad habits. Moreover, such young individuals also many times become apathetic towards their parents: they stop caring for the latter, turning them into self-centered personalities, who are often a misfit for family life.

To recapitulate, this new practice which is gaining popularity across the globe, may have some drawbacks, but its advantages outshine its disadvantages and in my opinion, it is beneficial for both parents and children.

People should choose careers that are monetarily rewarding even if their passion lies elsewhere because money plays a very important role in life

There has always been an eternal argument over the issue of whether one should opt for employment that fetches them financial benefits, even if they are forced to forgo their favorite occupation. Some accept it, others reject it.

A common perception seems to be emerging that one should opt for something professionally that precipitates into financial benefits even if it means abandoning favorite trade. This statement needs a profound analysis.

Even though most would lobby for embracing a profession that complements natural inclination, the reality is far from rosy: it is the money that drives life, by helping meet basic necessities such as food, shelter and clothing; and also the advanced needs like education and healthcare. Thus, the irony is that one must yield to the current demands of self and family, so that life can be led comfortably and without  chaos; plan well for the future; and also enjoy professional and social influence.

Even the top brass of reputed organizations admit abandoning their craving to engage in an occupation they were extremely fond of: Mr. Rakesh Punj, VP, Punj Lllyod, wanted to be a wildlife photographer, but his obligations towards his family led to him to seek employment to fetch him financial success and a medium to support his kin; consequently, he joined a steel mill and gained immensely, earning respect in familial and social paradigm.

However, some favor following innate desires. Their opinion is founded on precedents of a few fortunate, like Sachin Tendulkar and Lionel Messi, who chased their dreams, and obtained triumph and riches. This section suggests that pursuing dreams enables one to learn effortlessly; gain perfection; earn enduring success; and outperform others, grossing riches and fame, as a result. Unfortunately, barring a few, for a majority such success remains elusive.

Overall, although yearning to espouse occupations matching intuitive disposition seems attractive, the paradox is that most cannot exercise this option due to their compulsion to make their ends meet, and thus, should join jobs to seek financial returns.

More and more people are getting overweight. Some people think that increasing the price of fattening food items can solve this problem. Do you agree or disagree?

Obesity is a modern malady, and a pressing concern, fed by modern lifestyles and gluten laden nourishment, but can making edible items, with high fat content, prohibitively expensive help surmount this challenge, is a matter that needs a careful analysis.

Enforcing this policy is assumed to serve great purpose; it could dissuade individuals from consuming fattening food items. Most buyers, especially youngsters: the primary consumers of such products, would circumvent purchasing these high-calorie food items, and lean in favor of low cost in comparison to the healthy alternatives, or opt for home cooked meals.

Having said that, presumptions are hardly going to resolve the situation, for a majority are more focused on the taste, and how readily the nourishment can be made available. Gone are the days when one had time to think about their eating habits; nowadays, individuals are overwhelmingly engaged with their professional life, resulting in a dramatic shift in their food consumption patterns, and prices are going to remain inconsequential.

Additionally, there are myriads of reasons behind the individuals becoming obese: wrong choice of food; heightened anxiety levels; and hormonal imbalances are chief contributors to the corpulent population. This has been clearly corroborated by citing outcomes of a Canadian research that not all the overweight population is consuming fattening edible goods, but the primary culprits are genetic defects and stress-fueled depression - that force people to resort to binge eating. In such a case, a hike in the price is going to be of little help.

To recap, I believe corpulence stems from a myriad of causes: lack of time to determine the type of meals to be ingested; deepening stress and inherent tendency to gain weight, and making food with extra fats costly will prove of little consequence.

Many countries spend too much money on training a few individuals for international sports competitions

An eternal debate seems to have ensued between different schools of thought as to whether money should be invested into  rendering facilities to common people, or should they focus on training a few international players.   The latter view seems to be quite plausible and valid.

To start with, the opinion, although based on the assumption, that favors stressing on fulfilling the needs of common citizens arises from the assumption the money of taxpayers should  go into serving the larger public good: affording all kinds of services to the populace. This is why governments are elected, so they should fulfill their duties, as many critics of the programs that prioritize a minority population of sports personnel, suggest. This lobby often cites the studies carried out in poor countries where governments construct stadiums to augment sports despite widespread hunger prevailing around in society.

However, the other lobby looks at the broader and more practical side of the affairs. They suggest that sports is more of an industry than just being a favorite leisure time haunt  of the elite: it is generating direct and indirect business in multiple realms that may be connected or not with this field, and creating employment opportunities for millions across a cross-section of skills and trades in various fields that are either directly related to sports, or are ancillary to it. All the riches being derived from this field are due to the outstanding performances of the players at global level; thus, it is quite justified to bolster such practitioners.

In hindsight, disputes aside, it is quite plausible to continue with such a practice; it is helping not only outstanding sporting practitioners but also the society at large, by helping sports evolve into a gargantuan industry that is yielding jobs and business.

In some countries, there are fewer young people who listen to or play classical music these days.
Why is this?
Should young people be encouraged to play or perform classical music?

Culture and tradition of any country cannot be depicted any better than its classical music, which nowadays very few youngsters listen to or play. The reasons for the same can be attributed to various factors, persuading many to support the practice of encouraging the young blood to develop an inclination towards this genre.

The prominent reason for disenchantment, among the youth, towards this genre of music is the parents who themselves prefer to enjoy the rock music to portray that they are still young while ridiculing conventional types, and the children tend to follow their precedents, making them abandon the classical music. Also, the shows telecasted on radios and television focus more on modern day songs which sans any touch of classical symphonies, to earn more TRP; thus, listening to the modern manifestation of this art has become a fad among the youngsters and they profusely use these at the parties and functions at colleges, gyms, and so on.

Nevertheless, the fast disappearing ancient music is an alarming condition, it can be popularized again by deploying certain prudent steps. The young minds should be encouraged at the familial level by coaxing young ones to embrace native culture by playing some popular classical melodies, akin to their tastes, at home. Also, the media houses should host soaps: singing competitions and musical quizzes featuring only classic genre, and award the winner with a debut album, so that more and more youngsters find it interesting to listen to and perform classics.

In hindsight, the conventional music, endemic to a region and culture, is becoming less conspicuous among the upcoming generation by virtue of various influences; having said that, the panacea lies in smartly making young ones vulnerable this type of music.

Young people are often influenced in their behaviors by others in the same age group. Some argue that peer pressure is important, while others feel it has distinct disadvantages. Do the disadvantages of peer pressure outweigh the advantages?

Young people are often influenced in their behaviors by others in the same age group. Some argue that peer pressure is important, while others feel it has distinct disadvantages. Do the disadvantages of peer pressure outweigh the advantages?

Young people are often influenced in their behaviors by others in the same age group

Youngsters have always been influenced by the conduct of acquaintances belonging to the same age group. While this has certain shortfalls, the favors it brings are far more in number, which shall be elucidated in the following paragraphs.

The impact of conduct of acquaintances on youngsters is overwhelming and although this can have an adverse impact on the young psyche, it will be unjustified to profess that these eclipse the favorable effects; it is the other way round.

To begin with, undeniably, the consequence of the push afforded by classmates, friends, colleagues and social contacts, have been found to be coaxing individuals into establishing their definitive academic, professional, social and even health goals with great enthusiasm. To corroborate, several individuals pursuing weight loss objectives have admitted that it was their social network that persuaded them to work to shed their flab and attain a trimmer waist. Similarly, millions of IT professionals credit joining this industry to their classmates and friends whose success and encouragement pushed the former to follow the precedents and embrace this occupation.

Moreover, it is quite commonly seen that the persona is partly carved by the interaction with the outer world, especially with those in social circles and friendship, and this determines the level of intellect of an individual. To illustrate, those with a high level of enlightenment about the surroundings, general and specific issues such as geo-politics and environment, generally hail from peer groups that comprise intelligent people.

However, the only conspicuous downside of this phenomenon is youngsters starting to harbor unrealistic expectations about various spheres of their life, chasing unattainable goals, becoming frustrated if those objectives are not accomplished, and going astray. Nonetheless, such situations can be circumvented by adopting a prudent approach and identifying their own limitations.

In hindsight, it can be safely asserted that the allegation of shortcomings of peer pressure exceeding its pros lacks substance; it is this force that has guided an umpteen number of triumphant personalities who owe their accomplishments to these undercurrents.

A staggering amount of food is wasted every year, both in business and households. Why is this happening? What can be done to tackle this problem? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge and experience.

In contemporary times, a huge amount of food is ending up in waste bins. There are a plethora of reasons for this; however, there are some measures that can be implemented to reverse this trend.

One of the main reasons behind this trend is the mindset of consumers, who over shop, including perishables which is quite unnecessary, resulting in major contribution to wastage. For example, people visiting hypermarkets, tend to fall for attractive schemes over household items and they end up overstocking and even spending beyond their budget. Kitchen spaces and refrigerators are overloaded with these items which are rarely used and  eventually end up getting spoiled, or even passing their expiry dates. Additionally, parties have been famous for ages for being lavish, resulting in cooking more  than the required quantity. According to several types of research, approximately 40 percent of the food prepared at a wedding is wasted and thrown away after the guests have fulfilled their appetite, and have left.

However, this ongoing issue can be surmounted by adopting several measures: taking an inventory of the food stock in the house and making a grocery list before going for shopping might help avoid purchasing unnecessary items and cut back on potential waste. Moreover, another suggested course of action for reducing dumping of eatables is to redirect them to food banks, and encourage more and more people to donate the unwanted food to the needy and unfortunate. This will not only solve the problem of those struggling with hunger but it can also prevent an important resource from getting wasted unnecessarily.

To recapitulate, trashing unconsumed food is a direct outcome of poor food education and ignorance; nevertheless, consumers can be educated to be more prudent in their buying and consumption patterns.

Some cities do not restrict how stylish and unique can houses and offices be that people construct. Do you think the advantages of this approach outweigh the disadvantages?

Some cities do not restrict how stylish and unique can houses and offices be that people construct. Do you think the advantages of this approach outweigh the disadvantages?

Nowadays, people are constructing their residence and workplaces as per their choices keeping in mind the new trends surfacing around: for facades and interiors. This has made many city planners to profoundly ponder whether benefits of this phenomenon outshine the drawbacks or not.

At the outset, when inhabitants are allowed to design their accommodations whether residential or office premises as per their needs and desires can decorate their premises in such a manner that the environment fetches happiness and relaxation. Several instances have been observed when these designer outlooks have positively impacted the efficiency and effectiveness of individuals, as bespoke surroundings play a major role in energizing the moods of an individual and making them more lively.

Nonetheless, those who rally against this rationale are concerned about the life of those who are living or working in these stylish layouts. They fear that many owners of these establishments might  have not paid attention to the norms asserted by the city planners while constructing these dwelling units or workplaces since their key objective was to  occupy every inch of the allocated area, giving least priority to the risk to human life posed by natural calamities.

Similarly, adopting these disparate choices of facades in which some might look bright, while others dull and unattractive makes the overall neighborhood look ugly. As every individual will try to install the latest accessories in order to gain a clout against their neighbors; thus, resulting in making the former extravagant and disturbing the harmony of the society.

To cap it all, I feel that the grey shades of this aspect outweigh the positive side. The health and safety is of utmost importance and this cannot be compromised under any circumstances. Therefore, building bylaws must be strictly imposed.

Some think that young people should be free to choose any career they like, while others say that they should think more realistically about their future. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Selecting a career is an onerous task for fresh graduates: they must prudently weigh their options: personal interest and passion, and the consequences for future. I opine, shortlisting a professional engagement is a life changing decision and should be given a serious thought before finalizing.

As per modern perceptions, one should be free to choose the stream they want to go for as it will boost their confidence, and will be enthusiastic towards it. They will be less dependent on others and will be more responsible for their own task. To corroborate, someone enjoying finesse art, such as painting, should always opt for a profession like as painter, where his inclination lies; joining some other realm: accounting, for example, immersing in figures, wherein they might work but will be unable to realize their potential; and obtain professional dexterity and contentment. In fact, many have found fame and success by just following their passion and investing their energies into those pursuits.

Nevertheless, delving profoundly into the future prospects of an occupation and personal priorities is critical before affording a head start to a career. One must seek counsel of experienced professionals, and determine if their desire is yielding them appropriate yields to survive comfortably. Chasing dreams is one thing but ending up with nothing is something will fetch only resentment and regret: fresh computer graduates can become freelancers, or to engage as software engineers in large corporations. Even though the former option might seem attractive, the latter is likely to fetch adequate resources and financial benefits in the long run.

To conclude, I believe one must evaluate the future prospects and chances of success. Just following the obsession will not help fulfill the desire to attain materialistic possessions, and a secure and satisfying future.

Some people think that government should send fresh doctors and teachers to rural areas for sometime before working in cities, while others think freedom of choice should be entertained!
Discuss both views and give your opinion

Many regional areas across the world face a dearth of appropriately equipped  schools and hospitals, which presents a steep challenge to the ruralites. To overcome this problem, many are persuaded to propose making it mandatory for the freshly graduated teaching and health professionals to serve in rural areas before working in cities, but there are voices of dissent too.

The acute shortage of quality educational and medical facilities has prompted many to suggest that the freshly graduated health and teaching professionals should compulsorily serve in villages before engaging professionally in cities. However, others contest this and assert that this should be the prerogative of the concerned individuals.

Many vehemently rally behind the idea of stipulating working in regional areas for these professionals, for sometime. This view is primarily based on the virtue of giving back something to society in the lieu of the support offered by it, in the form of subsidized education. Most curriculum in such study programs  is publicly funded using the money raised from taxes, otherwise pursuing such courses will be difficult for a majority of students. This makes it ethically valid for these professionals to reciprocate in a similar manner.

Moreover, such an arrangement will eventually benefit young doctors and teachers who will not only gain an expansive exposure of working with diverse communities in difficult conditions but also become familiar with the challenges facing villagers. This will help them develop empathy towards the affected people and encourage them to discover solutions.

Nevertheless, the other lobby feels working out of cities or towns should be a chosen option rather than an imposed one. Enforcing such a condition for professionals in  medicine and teaching is no less than a bias. When those in other occupations enjoy all the liberty to engage wherever they want, it seems quite unwarranted to coax these professionals to work in specific areas.

Overall, after assessing both the viewpoints I feel this is an ideal proposal to surmount the gap in educational and health care facilities in villages, but the state should ensure that such assignments remain financially lucrative, and enriching for such practitioners.

Nowadays the most important task is the environmental protection of our planet for future generations. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Nowadays the most important task is the environmental protection of our planet for future generations. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Human activities have greatly impacted the environment. Thus, ensuring that it stays safe for the next generation is the task that needs to be allocated priority in contemporary times.

Rapid industrialization and deforestation has engendered colossal pollution, causing myriads of health problems, especially in children. The emissions of carbon and other greenhouse gasses from Industries and factories are rendering the air unbreathable, and also causing immense climatic changes. Thus, the need of the hour is to embrace strict guidelines to mitigate the pollutants and protect the planet since if the steps are not taken urgently, the environment would become inhospitable for the future generations. For example, environmentalists have given warning calls and are insisting on changing the fuel: from fossil to greener alternatives, being used and rewilding, so as to ensure that the carbon footprint is minimized and  the globe can be prevented from becoming hostile for life.

Furthermore, the exploitation of finite resources has spiraled, and it is feared that if things progress at this speed, the naturally occurring minerals will cease to exist, jeopardizing the survival of the inhabitants populating this planet in some years from now. To corroborate, several minerals and materials have started exhausting and mining activity has stopped at numerous locations. Similarly, the crude oil reserves are also drying out fast. Ergo, as per several experts, there is dire need to conserve these naturally occurring minerals by discovering alternatives, so that the upcoming generations can use those.

Thus, it can be safely asserted that protecting whatever is left of the ecology for those who would inhabit the earth in some decades from now is a job of paramount importance. Deploying preservation strategies could help save resources even for the current generation, and make the world a better place to live.

Some people think it is better to educate boys and girls in separate schools and some others feel that they benefit more from attending mixed schools. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Some people think it is better to educate boys and girls in separate schools and some others feel that they benefit more from attending mixed schools. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

When it comes to the education of boys and girls, there are many who suggest that it is always practical to send children to distinct schools while others oppose this notion and feel that co-educational institutions are better.

To begin with, it has been observed that there are many families that do not want to expose their little one to the mixed academic settings due to their orthodox views. They feel visiting gender specific schools can allow learners to focus more on their studies as when boys and girls study together, they get easily distracted, and   consequently, go astray, adversely impacting their behavior, as well as studies.

However, numerous commentators quash this proposal and feel that the pupils can get a better environment if they receive education in co-educational formal tuition, they will learn how to stay together, regardless of the gender, and accommodate each other. They will learn to co-habit and appreciate strengths and weaknesses of each other, making them adaptable and more prudent, and helping them forge meaningful relations later as adults.

Furthermore, this can help mitigate gender bias; they will learn appreciate, respect and cooperate with each other. This can prove to be extremely fruitful in concurrent times when interactions in social, and professional realms, have become more rampant, and men and women have to operate jointly while chasing objectives and societal and organizational level. This aspect can been substantiated by citing of successful male and female professionals who admitted that studying in mixed settings made them confident about working together by brushing aside prejudices.

In hindsight, I personally opine that it is always good to follow a coeducational formal tuition system. This development will not only eliminate discrimination from society but also transform the personality of children, capable of communicating more openly with opposite sex.

It is important for all towns and cities to have large outdoor spaces such as squares and parks. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give reasons for your answer and include relevant examples from your knowledge or experience.

With an acknowledgement of potential threat as natural calamities, town and city planners are laying more emphasis on having large open spaces. This is brewing a debate among two sections of society as some agree to this proposal while others consider it as a waste of resource.

Having large open spaces caters innumerable benefits to the city dwellers. Such locations not only enhance the beauty of the area but it also acts as a platform for many to socialize with one another, as a result it aids people to revitalize either by being close to nature or by spending splendid moments with their near and dear ones. This further brings stability in relationships among family members and bolsters new bonding.

Furthermore, places like public parks do act as lungs of the city that besides filtering and maintaining the air quality in the surroundings, these also work as a medium of rejuvenating water reserves. During heavy storms and floods these facilities absorb excessive runoff of water and perform as a natural aquifer. Thus preventing the outbreak of any waterborne hazards.

However, despite abundant outdoor spaces having amazing advantages, many think differently. According to this section of society, such facilities are a waste of resources that could be  utilized for setting up commercial buildings for promoting economy, affordable housing units to offer improved living environment, and more importantly, for establishing healthcare and educational infrastructure. Thus, massive outdoors might jeopardize the development of essential services required for wellbeing of humans and economy

In hindsight, I personally feel that the decision of encouraging humongous outdoor places is crucial as well as critical that need to be taken after due consideration of the requirements of society at three levels; social, economic and environment.

The information revolution has changed the ways of mass communication and had some negative and positive effects(influence) on individuals’ lives as well as on society

As per a common perception, the contemporary introductions in the realm of mass communication have had a profound influence on citizens and societies both, positive and negative.I partially concur with this notion and shall elucidate my inclination in the following paragraphs

Undeniably, various tools of disseminating information: television, radio and more recently internet-driven social media, have made it possible for people to know about their desired subjects more accurately and widely, and make well-informed decisions. For instance, students attempting to join overseas education can now derive details about colleges and courses through television and sites, like twitter, and compare the best available options.

Moreover, the corrupting influence of this modern tool is another factor that forces many to suggest the deepening consequences on individual and social psyche. Several lobbies illustrate the distortion in behavior of umpteen youngsters caused by violence-laden content, in the form of movies, programs and other activities such as violent sports such as WWE. There has been an exponential rise in juvenile crime in various parts of the world and the primary culprit has been the glamorous depiction of unlawful activities in films and soap operas.

Nevertheless, some doubt the validity of this claim and assert that humans have always relied on their social networks, for they enjoy a mutual trust, and are aware of the commercial compulsions of media houses; thus they are rarely swayed by what is being propagated by audio and visual media. To corroborate, ones buying automobiles, or electronic goods consult their peers and loved ones, instead of media to make purchase decisions.

Overall, it can be said that the mass communication methods exert influence only to a limited extent, but when it comes to deciding about certain critical areas, people remain unaffected by the media opinions.

While studying some students take weekend or evening jobs to help with expenditure. How do you feel about this? What are the drawbacks & benefits of such a decision.

While studying some students take weekend or evening jobs to help with expenditure. How do you feel about this? What are the drawbacks & benefits of such a decision.

In concurrent times, a charged debate is making rounds in different sections of society regarding the ubiquitous practice of students engaging themselves in part time jobs to meet their financial demands. Some feel the idea of supplementing jobs  with studies is beneficial, while others agree to disagree with the same.

An army of people is convinced that learners taking up part time jobs enjoy several advantages over those engaging only with academic pursuits. They feel youngsters joining some employment with university or college can gain lasting self esteem and greater sense of responsibility, helping in building their self-reliant personality at early stages of their lives. Besides this, managing studies and work obligations at the same time can foster their time management skills, consequently equipping them with multitasking abilities.

Moreover, students earning money during their academic period can meet their monetary  expenses with their own salaries, and can learn money management strategies, helpful in every walk of life. Additionally, achieving more experience in a particular field by doing internships and side jobs can help them attain better expertise that can augment their chances of gaining a better employment future.

Nevertheless, some believe adopting this practice can bring umpteen number of troubles. They reckon learners undertaking jobs can get distracted from their prime objective, accomplishing the academic goals, thereby affecting their performance. Also, students who start earning at an early stage of life may get disenchanted from their studies altogether, and  in extreme cases, they may also abandon their course, which can hamper their prospects of carving out progressive careers later.

Overall,  I opine merits of inculcating working habits while studying, outshines the drawbacks as it can help in overall development of young individuals, by boosting their skill sets and by teaching them various life management strategies.

It is difficult for people in the cities to get physical exercises. Why is this the case? What can be done to solve this problem?

It is difficult for people in the cities to get physical exercises. Why is this the case?  What can be done to solve this problem?

It is quite commonly observed that urbanites are finding it hard to engage in endeavors that involve physical exertion. Although this can be attributed to the problems that are their own in the making, some other aspects also influence this trend. Nevertheless, a little judicious pondering can bring out practical solutions.

Even though technology has  always rendered an ease of life, the paradox is that it is also condemning city dwellers to sedentary lifestyles. Apart from being overwhelmed by technological interventions in the professional and  social life, where one has become more prone to using appliances, equipment and facilities, like escalators, cars and so on to negotiate every day challenges,  people are also immersed in technology driven entertainment mediums that has helped ensure that they remain miles away from committing themselves to any kind of physical workouts.

Similarly, distances are  also to blame for this. Rapid urbanization has brought almost every vacant space under the occupation of concrete, encroaching parks and obliterating green buffers in the process. The venues, such as stadiums, parks and gyms are no more a neighborhood affair, and require one to spend time reaching these locations, which act as deterrents to integration of healthy regimes in daily routines.

Nonetheless, the challenge is surmountable if people adopt a prudent approach at their level such as walking and establishing a minimum benchmark distance for  every day, and taking stairs wherever possible. Moreover, they must abandon their love for technology at least twice in a week and organize group sports or community activities with their families and neighbors.

Overall, the absence of physical efforts and labor can have dire consequences for the urban dwellers, in the form of poor physical and mental well being. However, integrating practices that necessitate manual efforts can act as a reliable remedy though it is not panacea.

Does television remove our loneliness or not?

Many people believe that television helps remove our loneliness

Television has revolutionized the realm of personalized entertainment, and is often deemed as a productive companion in solitude, but does this notion hold substance is a matter worth delving deeper into.

Undeniably, this modern device has helped those living on their own tremendously by filling up their moments, and surroundings, of seclusion with affable sounds of music, laughter, emotional portrayals - amusing content, sports programs and music concerts; inputs about current happenings through news, and so on, letting them experience the warmth of joy, empathy, energy; and alternatively, sorrows, wherein one is exposed to such sentiments through the portrayals of anguish, grief and distress through characters in movies, soap operas.

Moreover, modern lifestyles entail an overwhelming engagement with professional obligations, this technological aid comes in as a respite for those returning home physically and mentally drained, with little energy and enthusiasm remaining for going and  interacting  with others in their social circles: it allows one to entertain themselves within the confines of their comfort zones and forgo the arduous task of dressing up and stepping out of home to socialize.

Nonetheless, by virtue of humans being gregarious creatures, many dread  inhabiting such lifestyles; this machine has become a medium of addiction and social isolation rather than offering companionship when someone is alone. Watching TV engages  viewers, so profoundly,  with the content that they are left bewildered, turning them oblivious of   their surroundings, in the process, discouraging interaction even with those around them, fueling a sense of aloofness and detachment, making them feel despondent and abandoned.

In hindsight, excess of everything is bad; in the same way, using television as a way to fulfill the need of being among loved ones does help; however, this can turn into an obsession if excessively used. Thus, prudence is recommended.

The visitors should adopt and take up the customs and traditions of the country they are visiting, while others feel that safeguarding the right of the visitors to a country to practice their customs is the duty of the host Country. Discuss and give your opinion in not less than 250 words by giving relevant examples out of your own experience.

The visitors should adopt and take up the customs and traditions of the country they are visiting

Traveling has become a ubiquitous phenomenon in contemporary times, raising a controversial question that whether those undertaking this endeavor should embrace native customs of host society, or should the latter welcome diversity. The following paragraphs will critically analyze this matter.

An army of people suggests that travelers should subscribe to customs of the destination society: this would help them explore native practices more closely as they would be accepted by locals without reluctance, creating a bonhomie between the two cultures and establishing a dialog that helps the former the experience the host society and its aspirations elaborately. Besides this, they would also be able to circumvent any possibilities of offending the natives by desecrating their conventions and beliefs.

However, the former view holds little substance in the concurrent era when the world is becoming highly globalized. This approach reflects a hostile attitude and is likely to fetch similar responses from other societies, thereby affecting the harmonious environment of the world. Those visiting a country are there to observe and experience the difference of traditions and rituals, but not to abandon their own.

Moreover, such an inhospitable attitude is bound to have a long lasting impact on tourism of the host country that will be extremely adverse. The affected visitors will carry home the negative opinions and spread them far and wide; consequently, the influx of the alien travelers will dramatically reduce, impacting not only the local employment in businesses that heavily rely on this trade and also the foreign exchange earnings.

Overall, disputes aside, the unfriendly approach towards foreign individuals entering a country for a short term is unwarranted; they should be afforded freedom to continue with their legal native practices. It will not only boost the reputation of destination countries but also promote tourism.

"City Planners' new designs include setting up schools, markets, and commercial places (offices) in different areas of the city. Do you think it will help the city dwellers?"

"City Planners' new designs include setting up schools, markets, and commercial places (offices) in different areas of the city. Do you think it will help the city dwellers?"

Modern city planners have changed their agenda and are now focused on establishing educational institutes, business areas in the different parts of the urban locations. Some are of the opinion that this setting will turn out to be beneficial for the urbanites, while others raise their voice in dissent.

A lobby is of the view that favoring such an arrangement could render a major advantage in form of alleviating the traffic congestion on roads. This view is primarily based on the assumption that most of the motorists and users of public means of transport are the people staying at distant locations from their offices or shopping districts. Therefore, if these facilities were constructed close to where people resided, it would reduce the distance and duration of their travel. Thus, letting them enjoy their journeys by thinning traffic.

Additionally, it will bolster the development of those areas which are still underdeveloped despite being part of metropolis since building education facilities and office premises in close vicinity will allow the individuals to enjoy these opportunities that were previously unavailable. Now, they will get a chance to gain employment, as well as education.

Nonetheless, those opposing this setting are of the belief that this would create chaos rather than bringing relief. Executing the layout changes would convert the available open spaces into the commercial places or education institutions, leaving behind no space to relax or perform physical exercise, as a result jeopardizing the physical and mental well-being of the city dwellers.

In hindsight, I personally feel that by following the new design, the city planners can bring myriad benefits to the city dwellers, but the pitfalls attached to it cannot be neglected as it will hamper the health of urbanites which cannot be compromised at any cost.

Media is a source for humongous information that also provides access to personal lives. Some commentators perceive this as infringement, and call for stern measures to regulate such forays, while others think differently.

There is overwhelming support for free press, even if they sometimes encroach private spaces of celebrated individuals who have gained mileage due to colossal fan-following. It is thus, the privilege of those, idolizing such personalities, to know how the latter behave behind their veil of public persona. It has been often experienced that the philanthropic facade is used by some as a pretext to gain popularity, but behind the scenes they rarely have anything to do anything with altruism.

Such endeavors, informing about private persona of known figures like sport professionals, often impact the populace favorably, inspiring them to embrace the precedents of hard work invested by some and strive to attain pinnacle. A recent story that inspired many, for example, how a young girl, hailing from a destitute family, despite all hindrances of the gender-based stereotypes, continued to focus on her studies and became the first women to graduate from an Indian village, persuaded umpteen families to follow the suit.

However, such invasion is often derided, evooking a call for stringent control on what can be made public: it has detrimental implications on those whose personal lives become public overnight, creating unwarranted pressure and irrefutable reputational damage. Some also get negatively inspired by certain material being published establishing wrong precedents for the youth if their idols are engaged in socially unacceptable behavior.

Overall, news has a massive impact on public pysche,  and thus, it is pertinent for certain controls to be applied on the information being heralded, as personal lives of others can become a benchmark: both positively and negatively.
