Modern times are associated with mechanized age, in almost every walk of life, but some of the household work is still done by hands. People do not let the spoils of modern innovations interfere with certain tasks. This although may be having a lot of drawbacks, it carries some prominent positives too.

The most prominent benefit of not involving machines in household jobs is ensuring a close observation and control on the process, especially when cooking. Such jobs need careful observation and use of sensory organs, like olfaction. This also aids in maintaining uniqueness, like distinct recipes and list of ingredients used apart from the time required to monitor appropriate seasoning and administering of ingredients which can only be perfected with experience, and not by setting cooking timings on machines.

Similarly, there are certain tasks that are better done by hands rather than deploying some mechanized equipment to supersede human efforts. Work involving handling delicate  material and things cannot be entrusted to appliances, that do not know where to start from and where to stop. Using apparatus to wash clothes with delicate fibers and clean fragile things, that  are prone to damage and loss, can be an expensive affair.

However, doing work physically, costs both efforts and time. Many, today, are leading busy lives and adding up some household tasks to to-do lists at home can be tiring and stressful, and drain individuals of their energy, whereas using robotic appliances afford relief from tedious household work and use it instead on other more important jobs and besides relaxation.

To conclude, I opine doing certain tasks by using own efforts is having more benefits than drawbacks. This methods has been followed since time unknown and has assisted in perfecting skills and ensures qualitative outputs.

Many celebrated people are earning way more than those involved in politics do. This can be attributed to various causes. However, this has sparked an unlikely but fierce argument over the impact of this, trying to arrive at the conclusion, about this having favorable or unfavorable consequences. 

Astronomical sums being grossed by noted figures in sports and various forms of art, which is relatively higher than what policy makers can make, has become possible due to wider mass appeal enjoyed by the former. Entertainment in all its manifestations has become a lucrative industry – due to globalization – that invites huge investments, often resulting in high remuneration for those associated with it, whereas politicians earn perks received from the government.

This, has been hailed as a beneficial phenomenon: many intending to earn fortune make a beeline for the glamour, while politics is left to those who believe that governance is not the forte of every one and earnings are not the criteria of a realm like this. Such people are devoted and inclined to serve the society, and out of their initiatives, they selflessly lead the their countrymen to prosperity. 

However,  this imbalance in earnings has caused an alarm among many. Money rules the roost and this aspect can make celebrities overwhelmingly more influential than the ruling executive. This can lead to chaos and many a times it has been observed that the former, enjoying mass appeal, force their way into the regime and influence decisions.

In hindsight, the influence and outreach of celebrated personalities is the prime source of sky-high earnings. I feel that although this might seem a little grim to some, it is in fact a favorable development  since this leaves only dedicated people in the fray to join politics and take up important public roles.

To conclude, I feel controversies apart, advising is as a practice is more dependent on rational approach rather than the age. Many today are trying to juggle between their professional, social and personal realms, due to which they are often found foregoing their important task: spending some time with their wards. The debate on whether women should be allowed to work in law enforcement agencies and armed forces is quite charged. Many are in favor of allowing females to join active combat duties in police and military though others offer resistance on this issue.

Females have proven their worth on several battle fronts in the history of mankind, be it Joan of Arc, or be the Queens of Jhansi in India who led their armies, mostly composed of men from the front against the formidable foes. Thus, overlooking their candidature and depriving them of a chance to serve on such posts just because they are women would be quite unjust.

Nevertheless, women fighting along  with men has certain pitfalls. As it is suggested by many commentators, law enforcement agencies and armed forces require high fitness standards and need combatants to be agile, an area where men outstrip their women counterparts by miles, whether it is sneaking into or evacuating from enemy territory.  Various studies carried out to assess training programs reveal that mixed-gender units were sluggish while all male units in both police and army were quick in expediting their tasks.

Moreover, one can hardly deny the threats females may face when fighting it out on streets, or battlefields: they are vulnerable to sexual assault, in case they land among criminals or are captured by enemy forces. This could be catastrophic and devastating for the women on combat duties, and an embarrassment for the establishment that employs them. 

In hindsight, I strongly feel that the changing paradigm needs to reset the aspirations of the society. It is necessary to allow females to take up jobs in police and military - the traditional bastions of males. If given opportunities, the women will prove their birth.
