Some people say that to prevent illness and disease, governments should focus more on reducing environmental pollution and housing problems.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The great public discourse of contemporary times is aligned with the issue of whether the state should emphasize on combating pollution and accommodation challenges, or not, to improve public health. I shall analyze this matter and elucidate my inclination.

An army of people supporting this view vehemently assumes that various ailments can be prevented by reducing pollutants surfacing in the environment. Contaminated surroundings are a prominent reason behind a myriad of maladies, such as asthma, cancer, and so on. To exemplify, a study carried-out by The University of Waterloo concluded that the number of patients suffering from diseases caused by environmental pollution is rising exponentially.

Furthermore, another lobby expresses that inappropriate housing facilities are also engendering concern. While in the scenarios where it takes long hours to reach homes from workplaces, or from any other place, stress is becoming a common challenge. The fear of becoming a victim of mishaps on the road during commuting also exacerbates the situation. Besides this, small dwelling units, populated by a plethora of individuals also need to be considered. These are causing ill-health, and thus, governments must work on alleviating these problems.

Nonetheless, the skeptics outrightly reject this and assert that the need for developed health facilities cannot be overlooked, and lack of nutritious diet is another major factor responsible for the number of afflictions. This can be corroborated by citing the outcomes of a report published by AIIMS, wherein they stated that an unbalanced diet is making thousands of youngsters vulnerable to malnutrition.

In hindsight, even though inadequate housing spaces and toxins surfacing in surroundings are exposing Individuals to several maladies, it is hard to ignore other forces. Therefore, rather than prioritizing the given factors, it is imperative to take other aspect in consideration as well.
