 When it comes to dealing with home assignments afforded to youngsters, there is a dilemma  among parents, whether they should assist their wards with it, or offer them autonomy in this task.  

To start with, there is a general consensus over the continuation of the traditional arrangement of mothers and fathers supporting their wards in negotiating the tasks assigned by the former tuition for home. This can turn out to be an enriching experience for the latter who are exposed to disparate methods of teaching, explaining, and attempting, helping them develop a broader perspective about a subject matter, by virtue of approaching it from various angles: that of the tutors and of their parents. 

Similarly,  it is undeniable that this exercise can introduce youngsters to the practice of doing their work meticulously and also remaining focussed while they are attempting something important. The homework forms a critical part of academic pursuit, and doing it efficiently imparts necessary lessons: revision, and determination of gaps in learning, which can only be obtained if one remains devoted to the task. However, tender minds need guidance, to perfect this skill, that only parents can afford. 

Nevertheless, the other lobby vouches for parents refraining from extending assistance to youngsters in doing their homework. This can help bolster exploratory skills of juveniles since when they do something on their own, they earn an opportunity to look for solutions independently without any external intervention, imparting them a crucial lesson of finding ways to surmount challenges on their own.

Overall, I feel that even though both the viewpoints hold true in their virtue since one aims at training youngsters to be independent, the other focuses on enriching experience, parents should assist their wards with home assignments.
