Some people that having a set retirement age (e.g. 65 years) for everybody, regardless of occupation, is unfair. They believe that certain workers deserve to retire and receive a pension at an earlier age. Do you agree or disagree? Which type of workers do you think should benefit from an early retirement age.

Some people that having a set retirement age (e.g. 65 years) for everybody, regardless of occupation, is unfair

There has always been a tussle between different sections of human resource experts when it comes to defining the age of retirement on the basis of the work. Where a faction favours the uniform retirement age, others vouch for establishing it as per the nature of jobs.

There are certain professions, as per commentators, that mandate an early relieving from the professional obligations due to the amount of strenuous labour involved at work such as mining, military, marketing and hospitality. These realms require one to be physically fit to endure heavy work, travelling and spending long hours without seating oneself.

It is undeniable that as people grow older, their ability to sustain demands of the work occupations reduces considerably, which can expose them to several health hazards, in turn, costing them their health and organisations money spent on rendering medical intervention. Thus, it is a good idea to relieve such personnel of their duties, and let them enjoy their rest of life with their families.

Nevertheless, the critics to this proposal term it a recipe for disaster that will bring little more than chaos. Confusion will descend on the personnel department which will be (embroiled) engaged overtime in classifying the categories of who will be retiring when. In other words, this may result in contradictions as there could be a mismatch in the definitions of retirable age supplied by concerned departments and human resource. Moreover, such a move may also fuel interpersonal clashes, leaving many disgruntled, thereby adversely impacting work environment and eventually productivity.

Overall, controversies apart, I completely concur with the scheme of relieving people involved in certain types of employment earlier than their counterparts engaged elsewhere. It will help ensure their wellbeing and also keep the medical expenditure of organisations to minimal.

Changing jobs and residences frequently is a very common scenario nowadays. Do you believe that this is good for one’s future?

In contemporary times, a new trend is emerging, where people are frequently switching employment and accommodation. This evolution, even though it has certain benefits, as well as drawbacks, I align myself completely with the favorable outcomes of this phenomenon.

Future that is full of promises of progress accompanies those who change jobs and place of residence. Where on one hand, taking up new employment exposes people to a faster career progression, in terms of economic benefits that come in the form of better compensation and perks, allowing people to earn higher that helps not only meet their daily needs but also invest into making their and the future of their kin secure. On the other, individuals engaged in such a practice are often able to gain professionally, owing to the experience they get to garner by working in completely diverse environments. This adds to their skills and expertise  of handling tasks in disparate working conditions, as well as aiding in expanding their professional clout: such professionals become well-known in the industry they are working in.

Similarly, relocating to a new place of residence enables them to develop a better world view, by virtue of coming in contact with others hailing from diverse cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. Apart from that, this kind of shifting also allows one to enjoy better facilities and neighborhoods.  Such people, as per a survey carried out by Queensland University, are known to enjoy their life better than those who continue to stay in the same place for a long duration.

Therefore, it can be said that movement of people to different places of work and living often brings good fortune. People can leave their past behind and move forward.

To be successful in education, it is more important to be a good student than to have good teachers. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

To be successful in education, it is more important to be a good student than to have good teachers. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The great public discourse of contemporary times is aligned with the elements that fuel success in education. Where some hold learners responsible for their academic achievements, others counter this by arguing that outstanding teachers  are vital for academic  feats.

A lobby propounds that pupils should be focussed towards studies: a trait that  drives them to explore and harness their abilities, on  their own, in this field. It is generally said that it is easy to take a horse to the pond but hard to force it to drink water. Likewise, if learners are reluctant to commit themselves to the task of their studies, there is little tutors can do to convince them. Moreover, those enlightened about pursuing education seriously can  easily grasp the concepts taught in the school swiftly, and excel in their pursuits. To corroborate,  A survey carried out by University of Toronto has revealed that over 90% of the elite students had performed brilliantly due to their own initiatives. Teachers, in this case, acted only as advisers rather than mentors.

Nevertheless, some go against the former view. Teachers, as per them, influence the academic innings of every pupil profoundly, starting from the first day in the school to the university. Proficient teachers are adroit at the art of assessing, determining, strategizing delivery plans of lessons, and guiding every student to help them attain their academic goals. Teaching professionals have a knack to derive brilliance even out of mediocre students by donning the role of mentors, and guiding them in a positive direction.

To recapitulate, I partially agree with the notion; I feel that to attain success in education, both the brilliant students and good educators are important. Where intelligence is needed in students, the proactive and pragmatic approach of tutors bolster every learner.

Some people think that climate change could have a negative effect on business. Others think that climate change could create more business opportunities. Discuss both views and your own opinions.

Some people think that climate change could have a negative effect on business. Others think that climate change could create more business opportunities. Discuss both views and your own opinions.

Some profess that a shift in climatic patterns is bound to prove detrimental for business, others believe that this could create more business opportunities. Both views are discussed in the following paragraphs.

Weather changes are largely harmful for business, as per several experts. Taking the example of extreme weather conditions like excessive rainfall, or drought can destroy the crops and cause a big loss to farmers. Similarly, heavy rainfalls can cause damage to roads, impeding transportation of goods from one place to another. Apart from that, this change in the form of global warming is also causing snow to melt at poles, resulting in higher sea levels, submerging several coastal cities, leading to displacement of people, factories and business, which are rarely able to re-establish themselves in new locations.

However, this occurrence is proving to be favorable for certain industries, especially where on one hand, those manufacturing aids and equipment to render comfort from unannounced weather changes: the sales of air conditioners in areas that are experiencing unusually extremely hot temperatures are witnessing a rise in sales of equipment like air conditioners, on the other,   those regions  witnessing longer and colder that usual winters are seeing a spurt in sales of heaters.

Moreover, this phenomenon is also persuading many to start new businesses as the demand for certain food, such as ice creams and hot desserts, is registering a steep rise. People, to cope with the prevailing weather, attempt to comfort themselves with the food that soothes their woes and get over the miseries of unbearable weather.

Overall, despite optimism being expressed by many about such a phenomenon  being rewarding for commercial activity, the long term impact will not leave any realm of business untouched, and all businesses - in any area - would be affected adversely.

Some people believe that to become successful in sports one should have a natural talent. Others think that perseverance and practice are a crucial part to success. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Some people believe that to become successful in sports one should have a natural talent. Others think that perseverance and practice are a crucial part to success. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

There is a common belief that outstanding players are those who are blessed with inbred qualities since birth and become successful, but others profess one needs to have perseverance coupled with devotion to be triumphant. Both the partisan groups cite valid reasons to support their opinion.

Brilliant sports personnel are claimed to be belonging to a clan, who have inbred traits to excel in certain sporting disciplines. They need only a little help and hard work to  polish their existing skills and equip themselves with strategic planning; they can easily win matches and defeat the opponents. Capitalizing on opportunities comes to them naturally, which for others is a far cry. This can be easily corroborated by citing examples of players such as Sachin Tendulkar who is considered as the god of cricket: he did not need special training and was able to use his intrinsic abilities to churn out sterling performances.

Having said that, an army of people is in favor of a never say die attitude coupled with unswerving devotion to practising intensively: as per this lobby, ‘Practice makes the man perfect’. Discipline, focus and commitment are seeded inside the sportsperson to acquire the victory with regular hard work and dedication. There are many eminent players like Mary Kom in boxing, Messe in football and many more, who worked passionately and continuously, to taste the glory. Consistent training and unflinching resolve teaches players about patience, timing, stamina and also risk taking capabilities. Attaining magnificence on the field for players continuously dedicating themselves is not an uphill task.

Overall, even though both the opinions are true in their own virtue, I feel the natural instincts, undaunted grit and ability to dedicate oneself to hardships while training complement each other rather than competing with one another.

Some people think that criminal behavior can have genetic reasons, while others believe that only circumstances can lead some people to crime. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Some people think that criminal behavior can have genetic reasons, while others believe that only circumstances can lead some people to crime. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Some people think that criminal behavior can have genetic reasons

Why do some people feel crime may have genetic connection

·   It has been seen that there are some races that have survived on activities like hunting

·   There have been people who have hailed from regions that faced extreme scarcity of resources, their ancestors relied on looting the travelers

·   Natural animal instincts

Why do some people feel crime is driven by circumstances

·   Poverty and destitution, and  on top of that lack of education is keeping people poor, and hence they go in for unlawful means

·   Many are swayed by the desire possess everything that consumer society can afford

·   Lack of proper upbringing

·   Coercion is a means that cannot be overlooked

·   Self defense

Unlawful activities have been a part and parcel of life ever since humans appeared on this planet. This has persuaded many to explore and discover the source of this menace, and different schools of thought have arrived at contrasting conclusions, with some blaming criminal activities to be stemming from conditions and surroundings, while others linking it to inherited practices.

To embark upon discussion, several criminologists claim that most illegal activities are an outcome of these animal instincts that are deeply encoded in the human genes, and it needs  only a slight provocation for an individual to become aggressive and resort to violent and illegal ways. This innate propensity also pushes people to react aggressively and take laws into their own hands. This has been supported by several studies carried out to determine the motivation behind partaking in an unlawful endeavor, which revealed that most incidents took place due to impulsive action and reactions of people involved. There were also some cases where perpetrators enjoyed inflicting pain on others.

Nevertheless, there is another lobby that differs from the former perception: they feel that no one is born a criminal and it is the situation that compels them to opt for anti-social behaviour. The prevailing economic disparities and the widening gap between the haves and the have-nots is the primary source of unlawful acts. To worsen/exacerbate the consumerist attitude the setting its foot firmly in, which  is fueling desires and pushing the deprived to choose the shortest possible method to gain those materialistic possessions, through deviant ways.

Overall, after assessing both the viewpoints, I arrive at a conclusion that both opinions are justified since sometimes, criminal activities are the outcome of the inbred attitude, and at others driven by several factors like money.

Many parents use punishment to teach the difference between right and wrong to kids. Many think punishment is unnecessary to help children learn the distinction between right and wrong. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

There is a lobby that believes the punishment is imperative for the young ones to make them competent in differentiating the right from wrong. This essay shall justify the rationale behind their perspective and discuss that of others.

Many are in favour of this practice. A slew of parents deploy this practice to make their wards comprehend the distinction between right and wrong since they believe such actions alleviates the tendency of repeating the same mistakes all over again in the little ones. This helps impart lessons for life as they always give a second thought before undertaking an erroneous or wrongful act, pushing them to mend their ways, thereby turning them into rational adults later in life. Moreover, it helps in inculcating a sense of discipline among the youngsters which serves as a deterrent to them against transcending the limits set by their mothers and fathers.

However, punishment leaves a profound impression on these tender minds, as detractors of retribution profess, which affects the psyche of young individuals prominently, causing distortions in their behaviour. Since reprimanding instills fear in some sensitive children, owing to which they become introverts when they grow into adults, and due to the lack of confidence they encounter a wide array of challenges in their life later on. Similarly,  some may turn out to be rebels by virtue of which they go astray from the paths directed by their parents, leading to severe repercussions such as involvement in fallacious acts, evolution of criminal instincts, and so on.

To reiterate, I strongly feel that the employment of punishment by parents in order to teach moral lessons to their wards is accompanied by a plethora of negative aspects since such actions adversely affect the mental wellbeing of the tender minds and the aftermath might be irrevocable.

The difference in age between parents and their children has increased compared to the past. Do you think advantages of this trend outweigh the disadvantages?

The difference in age between parents and their children has increased compared to the past. Do you think advantages of this trend outweigh the disadvantages?

In the contemporary era, parents pursue a practice of child bearing late in their life which results in a huge age gap between them and their young ones. This essay shall discuss the merits as well as drawbacks of this prevailing phenomenon and find out whether the former outshine the latter.

Nowadays, people follow this trend in order to become professionally and financially well established by virtue of which they find themselves capable of extending comfort and luxuries to their wards in terms of food, shelter, education, healthcare, and so on rather than being exposed to the challenges in making the both ends meet. Furthermore, after attaining a certain age, people acquire a prudent vision which proves to be quite favourable while handling the most difficult creatures on the planet - the youngsters, and it also helps in dealing maturely with a plethora of intricacies involved in child rearing.

However, as parents grow older they fail to undertake the activities which involve physical exertion, with their little ones since they get exhausted easily by indulging in such games leading to the weakening of ties, thereby fostering/cultivating an unbridgeable wedge between the two generations. Moreover, the pronounced age gap turns children hesitant to approach their mothers and fathers to discuss day to day happenings willingly, and to share their feelings as the latter fail to render the companionship/camaraderie desired due to the emotional disconnect, which affects their psyche adversely entailing distortion in behaviour and causing several serious mental issues such as depression, anxiety, and so on.

To reiterate, the positive aspects of the increased age difference between parents and their wards eclipse its negative aspects owing to the numerous parameters such as affording excellent facilities to the young ones and making their future prospects brighter.

Some people think that parents should teach their children about the importance of recycling, while others think it should be taught in school. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Some people think that parents should teach their children about the importance of recycling, while others think it should be taught in school. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

There is nowadays an intriguing debate brewing up as there is a lobby that believes the mothers and fathers should impart knowledge to their wards about recycling while the others feel that the school should don the mantle to instil its relevance among the young ones.

Since parents are the role models to their children they should take the initiative by setting precedents for their wards, so that these young ones follow the footsteps of the former, and incorporate recycling in their regime. Furthermore, families can disseminate the idea of recycling to the tender minds by fostering it in the form of several fun activities and games while teaching them a variety of social as well as moral values and make them comprehend their responsibility towards improving the surroundings.

But, the other lobby believes that school is accountable for making the pupils comprehend the prominence of reuse. This process can be introduced in the school curriculum through which students can imbibe it with great ease with the help of colourful books integrated with graphics since pictures leave an everlasting impression on the growing minds, and compel and enlighten them to contribute towards the environment. Moreover, these formal settings have a lot of room to organise several drives and campaigns for recycling owing to which the little ones could inculcate the procedure in themselves through the hands-on practical experience, thereby keeping them abreast of the equipment required to follow this practice.

To reiterate, I strongly feel that both parents as well as school must share the responsibility of enlightening the young individuals about the significance of recycling since they consider both as mentors so their teachings would leave a long lasting impression on the tender minds and help them to become a responsible citizen.

Disruptive school students have a negative influence on others. Students who are noisy and disobedient should be grouped together and taught separately. Disruptive school students have a negative influence on others. Students who are noisy and disobedient should be grouped together and taught separately. Do you agree and disagree, give reasons for your answer and include relevant examples from your own experience and knowledge. Write at least 250 words.

There is a lobby that believes teaching unruly and sincere learners in a separate formal environment would be a favourable step since the former has an adverse impact on the latter while studying together. This essay will justify the rationale behind their perspective and discuss that of others.

Imparting knowledge to all learners under the same roof would be of great afford as this arrangement would extend them an opportunity to comprehend a rich profusion of personalities, prevent creating a wedge between the two categories, and help them to be prepared for dealing with diverse personas, and surmount obstacles in the future.

Furthermore, the idea of segregating learners would be an unfavourable arrangement for the tender minds of the undisciplined ones since they take back the impression of prejudice against them which would distort their conduct, consequently, engendering jealousy for others. Besides this, they will turn into antisocial and less confident adults in the life later on since they start believing that they possess some flaws, by virtue of which they are treated differently.

However, clubbing all under the same roof could spoil the class environment, mischievous acts of the noisy learners would leave a profound imprint on the psyche of the studious pupils, thereby encouraging them to imitate the actions of those with disorderly behavior. Moreover, unruly conduct of some would deviate the sincere learners from their focus owing to which they would encounter a plethora of challenges in the years to come while pursuing their ambitions.

To reiterate, I strongly feel that despite some positive aspects, the idea of rendering formal tuition by classifying disobedient pupils into separate groups is accompanied by a plethora of negative aspects since it would heighten their rebellious behaviour, distort their mindsets.

If countries are serious about solving traffic problems, they should tax private cars very heavily and use the money to provide free or very cheap rail travel. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

A  lobby believes that levying heavy duties on personal vehicles would help in mitigating the pressing issue of traffic congestion prevailing in several countries, and utilising the collected tax money to render subsidised railway tickets. This essay will justify the rationale behind this notion as well as discuss that of others.

This arrangement would encourage the travellers to commute in public vehicles since this would help them in saving a great amount of money spent due to the escalating prices of fuel as well as colossal penalties while moving in private transport, thereby ameliorating their financial health, and alleviating the traffic snarls on roads.

However, by travelling in public transport such as railways leads to the wastage of the most precious commodity that is time by virtue of which people are inclined towards the private conveyance. Since in the contemporary era, people are engaged in gruelling work schedules owing to which they do not get adequate time to devote to their families, therefore, imposing heavy levies on personal vehicles would be of little avail as time once gone never comes back, and subsidised railway tickets would fail to substitute it, and traffic may not thin.

Similarly,  crimes have witnessed a spike in the recent years, due to which commuters have become quite apprehensive while travelling, especially in the wee hours, so they would not compromise their safety by opting for trains to save a few pennies. The priority today is safety and peace of mind rather than anything else. Thus, such a proposal might fail to deliver. Besides this, the travellers would not relinquish their comfort of traversing by personal means as they would not be able to enjoy the lighter moments with their loved ones in mass transit.

Overall,  I strongly feel that despite some positive aspects, private vehicles would continue to exist even with the enormous levies since this mode is safe and time efficient. Therefore, I fail to concur with this arrangement.

Many researchers show that overeating can have negative effects and people believe that advertising of certain foods should be banned, in the same way that some countries banned advertising cigarettes. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this ?

Many researchers show that overeating can have negative effects and people believe that advertising of certain foods should be banned, in the same way that some countries banned advertising cigarettes. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this ?

There has been a topical debate between researchers and consumers, as at one end it is said that promotion of certain food should be prohibited just like is the case with cigarettes because the former also causes ill-health, whereas at the other end, some do oppose this notion and register their dismay.

Advertising of certain food items must be curtailed completely, as the consumption of such products cause severe health hazards, not only to the adults but to the youngsters as well. Display of such edible products on print or electronic media forces buyers to consume such products. Due to which, they stop having their healthy diet and become the prey of artificial taste and flavor. Thus, deteriorating their level of nutrition, eventually weakening their immunity; consequently,  society must invest colossal sums in safeguarding the human resources - as evident in the report published by Cornell university. Thus, banning the advertisement of some foods is praised by many.

Nonetheless, the counterpart of this notion claims that doing so will render little purpose and bring no good to the society: those already influenced by such articles will certainly find one or other way to fulfill their craving. Similarly, the lobby believes that banning the publicizing of such products will do little to help since unless manufacturing is halted, people will not stop consuming such food. Moreover, it is not the ads which are fueling such faulty food habits, but the inclination of consumers who are inclined to eating these items.

Overall, I completely agree with the idea of forbidding advertising of some food products because it may not stop the consumers from having such food, but it will prevent the upcoming generation from getting influenced  by such items, as for them these will cease to exist.

Some people claim that not enough of the waste from homes is recycled. They say that the only way to increase recycling is for governments to make it a legal requirement. To what extent do you think laws are needed to make people recycle more of their waste?

Some people claim that not enough of the waste from homes is recycled. They say that the only way to increase recycling is for governments to make it a legal requirement. To what extent do you think laws are needed to make people recycle more of their waste?

It has been observed that people are not cautious enough about recycling their household waste. There is a lobby that believes the policy makers should don the mantle to integrate recycling into their lives by making it an obligation by law. This essay will justify the rationale behind this notion.

Since the state is well equipped with the funds as well as jurisdiction so it can easily take the initiative to enact the laws for escalating the process of recycling to protect the environment from the envisioned ecological disaster by imposing heavy penalties on non-compliance and such actions would compel/push people to incorporate recycling into their daily regime in order to avoid legal punishments. From this perspective, making recycling mandatory would be of great afford.

Moreover, due to the lack of awareness amongst a slew of people since not many awareness campaigns render information/coverage on this topic,  therefore, government intervention through the legal code would enlighten them about the practice, the method to integrate it, the equipment required to carry out the process, and so on, thereby keeping them abreast of their social responsibility towards improving their surroundings. Besides this, such regulations would help individuals to comprehend how the process of reusing could save their valuable earnings which can be further utilised to accomplish their other indispensable commitments, which would act as a motivation factor for them.

To reiterate, I strongly feel that the state should take initiative to frame policies to incorporate recycling into the regimes of the individuals as a mandatory process, but simultaneously, also making them comprehend that this process is accompanied by a plethora of positive aspects such as safeguarding the environment and monetary benefits as well.

Today’s society provides people with various ways to lose weight, such as special diets or exercise regimes. Many people believe that poor food and today’s lifestyle should be addressed first. What is your opinion?

Today’s society provides people with various ways to lose weight, such as special diets or exercise regimes. Many people believe that poor food and today’s lifestyle should be addressed first. What is your opinion?

What should be prioritized: reducing weight with special diets and exercise, or consuming appropriate nutrition  with a healthy lifestyle, to sustain well being, has intrigued many experts, but all that shines is not gold. Thus, I shall be elaborating my views on this dilemma.

Although there are a plethora of nutritional plans and exercise regimen available today, like various Diets, with various gym membership plans, that promise the moon -  by exploiting the keenness of people to stay healthy, but deliver only short term benefits these only help in weight control till such time until one adopts them diligently. In other words, continuous intake of such food, or regular gyming can help derive desired outcomes, but once abandoned, all the  advantages obtained are lost. Therefore, such a system cannot deliver enduring benefits.

What seems more feasible is embracing appropriate nutrition intake policy coupled with focus on active lifestyle. There is a dire need to monitor what  one is consuming, a hard decision to take in times when the markets are replete with fast food, mostly calorie rich junk food  - that entices taste buds. It is imperative to create a balanced intake that should avoid the unhealthy ingredients: adopting such a practice can help sustain a healthy weight without any external intervention. Moreover, one will not need to visit a gym if they prudently incorporate physical movements in their daily life and abandon their sedentary lifestyles: both in their professional and personal realms. Metabolizing calories is the best way to ensure a disease free life where obesity has no place.

To recapitulate, I strongly feel that bringing about a change in lifestyles and espousing healthy nutritional intake regime can help people turn the table on adversities, and aid them in attaining a body that sans corpulence.

Even more people are interested in wearing fashionable clothes nowadays. Do you think it is a positive or a negative trend?

Even more people are interested in wearing fashionable clothes nowadays. Do you think it is a positive or a negative trend?

In the contemporary era, people are more inclined towards buying the clothing which are in vogue. There is a lobby that justifies the rationale behind this trend. However, there are a few voices of dissent suggesting that this evolution can cause more harm than good.

Many have hailed the penchant towards wearing stylish outfits since this helps in boosting the confidence by shelving the outdated/obsolete styles, and promoting homogeneity among masses. Furthermore, this trend leads to the expansion of apparel companies and rendering a wide array of opportunities in this sector, consequently, bolstering the economies.

However, there are many detractors to this practice since it fosters the social fault lines between the people who can afford these trendy clothes and who cannot bear the prices of such outfits. Moreover, since fashion trends evolve incessantly which pushes the buyers to embrace the use and throw culture, thereby leading to the accumulation of waste, and besides this, to follow the clothes which are in trend often compels consumers to spend beyond their financial feasibility.

In addition to above, this practice has a detrimental impact on the environment as apparel industries churn out such goods in colossal amounts by milking the resources to satiate the growing demands of buyers for the latest fashion, which entails expansion of carbon footprint intensively by virtue of which the society is also encountering several health hazards.

To reiterate, I strongly feel that despite some positive aspects, the spike in the human propensity towards buying the garments which are in trend is accompanied by a plethora of negative aspects which prevail over the favourable outcomes since it is widening the social divide, affecting the financial health of many as well as hampering the ecological balance.

Many people believe that they should spend their money to enjoy life at present. Others, however, think that they should save it for the future. Discuss both views and give your own  opinion

There is a profound debate going on between diverse sections about whether money should be used to enjoy comforts in the current times, or should it be kept aside to bolster the future.  Both the partisan factions harbor justified opinions which I shall analyze in the following paragraphs

To start with, a section, especially  youngsters, is profoundly inclined ro using money to enjoy their life in current times: there is a general perception harbored by this group that life is uncertain and money is likely to lose its value as times advance. Moreover, they profess that as they get old, they are likely to lose their ability to enjoy anything since they will be overwhelmed by ailments and age-related disease. Therefore, it is quite practical to enjoy the exploits of hard work now, rather than waiting for some distant future. Besides this, there is another lobby that considers maintaining its social status and enjoying the facilities available in the present times.

On the other hand, some refute the notion and believe in creating savings for a secure future. They believe in the saying that one should always be prepared for the worst, and for that they must keep something aside for the rainy days to be able to negotiate unannounced crises and harsh times. Similarly, many also feel that without savings, one cannot plan a better future; hence, it is important to keep a part of earnings aside, so as to fund investments in higher education for children, bigger houses, and  creating financial reserves for  a comfortable post-retirement life.

Overall, even though both the views are true in their virtue, I feel that one should enjoy life and use earning for fulfilling their desires. However, savings should also be part of the monthly budget to cushion the future..

Cycling has many benefits, yet in some countries there is a decrease in the number of people using bicycles as their main form of transportation. Why is it happening? Give suggestions on how to encourage people to use bicycles again.

Cycling has many benefits, yet in some countries there is a decrease in the number of people using bicycles as their main form of transportation. Why is it happening? Give suggestions on how to encourage people to use bicycles again.

In concurrent times, the benefits of cycling are often overlooked in favor of modern forms of transportation in many countries. I shall further elucidate the reason behind the decrease in the number of people pedalling, and shall share my suggestions on how to encourage them to use this mode again in the following paragraphs

To start with, a school of thought states that four wheelers have become a luxury and a status symbol, youngsters are more inclined towards these vehicles as they feel the one in the car is rich and the one pedaling is poor. People also compare themselves with others by the means of luxury they own. Also, a person using a car is able to reach the destination in lesser time as compared to cycling. The recent surveys state that many do not like to use cycles and waste their time as they feel the time spent in this activity can be used in something productive which will further help them use the time saved in other critical areas.

On the other hand, there are a variety of options which can be followed in order to transport. Workshops can be organised in order to guide the citizens about  the health benefits; one can afford by pedaling. Governments should impose certain laws such as a family of four members can have only one car. Advertisements where celebrities are featured can be used to attract the countrymen towards the benefits this 19th century invention holds. Cycle races can be a part of quarterly activity where people are nominated and awarded based on the ranks achieved. Additionally,  is observed that  the people using cycles are less prone to health diseases as compared to  the others.

Overall, despite the benefits cycling affords, many are disinclined from riding a bike. However, these vehicles can be made popular once again if prudent steps are taken by the state and businesses.

In many countries the proportion of older people is steadily increasing. Some think this is good, while others believe this is a problem for a country. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

The demographic trend of a plethora of nations suggest that they are heading towards greying society. There is nowadays, an intriguing debate brewing up since a lobby believes that this evolution/prevailing phenomenon is beneficial while others believe that it is posing a menace to the countries. This essay will discuss both the views in the following paragraphs.

Many are in favour of this phenomenon since the increasing section of older people is helping in amelioration of the human development index of the countries due to the improvement in the life expectancy of the citizens by virtue of which such nations are gaining visibility across the length and breadth of the globe.

However, the rising population of the elderly is affecting the economic growth of the nation since to sustain them, the state is required to channelize funds from the public budget to cater to their needs by rendering them pensions and a wide array of other services such as healthcare, security, and so on, thereby hampering the further imperative developments in the country owing to dearth of the financial resources.

Moreover, owing to the rise  in the elderly population, nations are experiencing the scarcity of the workforce, consequently, deferring/holding back a rich profusion of assigned projects. Similarly, this increase is proving to be a liability on the shoulders of the younger generation as they push themselves to slog hard professionally as well as pay colossal amounts of taxes in order to extend subsidised services to senior citizens  which affects their productivity as well as efficiency, thereby impeding the progress.

To reiterate, after assessing both the views, I strongly feel that the mushrooming growth in the population of the senior citizens is accompanied by a plethora of negative aspects since this evolution is posing numerous challenges for the country and imposing immense pressure on the youngsters.

Nowadays schools should not use textbooks because children get bored with books. Using games, computers and TV is a better way to give them new information and knowledge. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Nowadays schools should not use textbooks because children get bored with books. Using games, computers and TV is a better way to give them new information and knowledge. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

There is a lobby that believes formal settings should abandon/shelve the conventional method of disseminating knowledge to the learners through textbooks since they no longer find it an interesting way, and recommend the idea of introducing smart classes to extend them the latest information. This essay will justify the rationale behind this notion and discuss that of others.

Many have hailed this arrangement since the incorporation of technology such as games, television, computers, and so on, for imparting knowledge to the pupils helps in transforming learning into interesting, tempting and fun activity through audio as well as video components, by letting them learn faster and also leaving a profound and long lasting imprint on the tender minds.

Furthermore, this integration exposes the young ones to technology and makes them tech-savvy which would help them prominently when they turn into adults, especially while negotiating professional endeavours. Similarly, the indulgence of the growing minds in such a wide array of multimedia helps in cultivating strategy building skills which contribute to their cognitive development.

However, the conservative lobby terms this kind of a switch as one that carries several downsides. Shelving textbook based learning will surely make young minds bereft of creativity: printed words force readers to visualize each word and imagine things, which can be of a great help. Besides this, not using printed text will also not allow learners to grab the most important virtues of patience, exploration and hard work. When reading something from a book, one is forced to read through pages,  teaching them to become patient and also learn to try to find the required information; consequently, letting them appreciate the value of working hard while pursuing goals.

To reiterate, I strongly feel that despite some negative aspects, substitution of books with the technology in school curriculum is accompanied by a plethora of positive aspects since this arrangement would help pupils to imbibe a rich profusion of skills which would prove to be quite beneficial for them in the years to come.

Full-time university students spend a lot of time studying, however they should perform other activities too. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The learners in varsities devote a great deal of time to their study regime. However, there is a lobby that believes they should indulge themselves in some other activities along with the academics. This essay will justify the rationale behind their perspective and discuss that of others.

Many have hailed this proposal since extra-curricular activities play an imperative role in shaping the personalities of the students, by virtue of which they turn into rational adults in the life later on since these tasks assist them in their personal grooming by imparting a plethora of skills as well as values required to deal with the challenges they might encounter in their professional realms.

Furthermore, incorporation of such tasks aids the learners in taking a break from their gruelling study routines, thereby breaking the mundane which helps them to retain their interest in the academics by alleviating the immense pressure involved in incessant studying process, and encourages them to adhere to their schedules with greater enthusiasm and fervour. Besides this, such integration further helps them in discovering their hidden talents, consequently, rendering them a rich profusion of alternatives to pursue as a vocation in the future.

However, a section outrightly rejects this notion. As per this lobby, students indulge in their studies extensively, in order to achieve good grades which help them fetch higher positions at esteemed companies so involvement in other activities might prove as a distraction, owing to which they would deviate from their objectives, thereby hampering their future prospects.

Overall,  I strongly feel the idea of involving in co-curricular activities together with academics is accompanied by a wide array of positive aspects since it would escalate the performance of pupils by mitigating the stress. Also, it is indispensable for their physical and mental wellbeing.
