The debate over achieving success being influenced by fate, or personal efforts is quite profound and fierce. While some argue that the former factor plays a crucial role in achieving goals, others contend that hard work, determination, and skills are far more important. I would like to elucidate both the views with a plausible conclusion.
Destiny, as they say, can undoubtedly impact the path to attainments. External factors, such as being born into a supportive family, encountering the right opportunities at the right time, or meeting influential individuals, can sometimes accelerate the path to triumph. To exemplify, several accomplished entrepreneurs have had fortuitous moments where a chance meeting, or unforeseen event changed their career trajectories. In these cases, stars played a key role in striving towards objectives.
Having said that, fortune alone is rarely enough for a majority in their endeavor towards pinnacle. One requires determination, perseverance and consistent hard work to turn the table on adversities and surmount hurdles preventing them from gaining their intended targets. Many, such as Steve Jobs, admitted fulfilling their aspirations by preparing themselves extensively, recognizing, and capitalizing on opportunities when they arose.
On top of that, as per Thomas Edison, “Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration,” emphasizes that it is the efforts and hard work that enable one to realize their desires. To illustrate, athletes winning championships might experience lucky breaks, but behind their achievements are countless hours of dedication and toil.
To recapitulate, while luck can be instrumental in achieving aims in some cases, it is mostly through relentless endeavors, persistence and skills that individuals realize their ambitions. It is those who are prepared and willing to work hard make the most of the opportunities that come their way.
