Many young people nowadays are imitating celebrities in sports and movies. In your opinion, is this good or bad? Support your point of view with reasons and examples from your own experience.
The contemporary young generation is highly influenced by the limelight and stardom of famous personalities, and are tempted to ape them. This essay will analyze whether this propensity is beneficial, or detrimental.
In the era dominated by social media, people especially, the growing minds get easily influenced by the life loaded with stardom of the renowned sports and movie personalities, start considering them their mentors thereby, losing the sense of individuality in the race of longing to look alike, causing disruptions in perceptions and thoughts of curious growing minds.
Moreover, many believe that the life portrayed by the eminent personalities is not a true reflection of their real self, rather a part and parcel of their vocation in the pursuit to earn money, and imitating their lifestyle distracts the youngsters from pursuing their objectives, and making them go astray, and lose their sense of direction.
Furthermore, the advent of globalization and e-commerce has extended a rich profusion of multi-national merchandise available at the doorstep, coaxing them to turn spendthrift, intensifying the pitfalls of the proclevity of emulating noted public figures. It has been observed by various studies by eminent human behaviorists that the young in an attempt to mimic their idols, catapult themselves into a buying spree, pushing themselves into financial crisis. The perquisites rendered by the companies: buy now and pay later, precipitating mushrooming of credit card bills, and EMIs, and thus, overburdening the young people in the early stage of life.
To reiterate, I strongly feel that the vogue of following footsteps of distinguished characters, among the youth, is a detrimental evolution since this practice compels them to become extravagant, and deplete their savings, deviate from attaining their personal and professional pursuits, and provoking them to lose their individual persona.
