Playing games on electronic gadgets have been courting controversies over their impact on the children, the most widely affected group. Several experts seem to be profoundly concerned about this recent development, and are seeking causes of this problem. 

The most common reason for children getting increasingly inclined to choosing modern gadgets over traditional games is the parents themselves. Despite parents denying this fact, it is the moms and dads who are actually encouraging children to take up this activity. It is said that kids always take up cues from their parents, and today when even the fathers and mothers are themselves inclined to always running their fingers on these gadgets, it is likely for the young ones to take up this activity.

The new development has some great benefits to offer with the development of cognitive skills of children. While playing games on these devices, which have unpredictable content provides abundant sensory inputs to the growing minds, in regards to problems, possible strategies that could be adopted to resolve problems and finally the implementation of a chosen way out. Many institutions have in fact taken up this method to extend benefits of seamless and effortless learning, to the students.

However, the controversy refuses to fade away as the vehement critics cite various shortcomings of playing games on electronic devices. The gaming content on these devices tend to overwhelm the senses of tender minds; to the extent that kids even try to emulate their virtual avatars, which could be, of course, violent too. The content in the games is also believed to be fueling aggressive behavior among the children.

Hence, I believe, it is quite easy to blame electronic devices for our own flaws, but judicious use is recommended, as this modern equipment has several benefits.
