Technologists believe that one does not have to spend a penny in order to get the information as it is free, persuading many to use this medium to study, especially students. Moreover, electronic information is available at the click of a button, and in the comfort of their homes, rather than drowning themselves in the heavy unmanageable books. This is to say, one does not have to leave their haven, and just by pressing a button on their mobile screen, one can access material to bolster their academic pursuits. For example, in Japan, many learners prepare for exams with the help of e-portals, making it convenient for them to study since colossal inputs are available conveniently without needing one to browse through the pages of unexciting conventional paper-based material.
However, abandoning conventional material altogether could prove to be a recipe for disaster, for using this age-old method has been pivotal in fostering exploratory skills among young minds: they must pursue the whole content while searching for the relevant context, whereas the modern methods do render an ease of access, they also impede development of this critical trait, besides making one lose their ability to concentrate for long: studies have reported that youngsters admitting shortening of attention spans owing to use of soft copies of books and animations.
