Times are definitely becoming tumultuous and a simultaneous rise in criminal activities is being observed across the globe. This has raised concerns across the sections in the society as the social activists and scientists suggest that it is high time when methods of prevention of criminal activities was found but there are some people who firmly believe that there is no way to stop crime. - Ielts Essay

The people who vouch for crime prevention methods state that finding ways of motivating people to dissuade themselves from involving in such activities that lead to taking law in their own hands. They feel such initiatives would help and would encourage perpetrators of unlawful activities to mend their ways and lead a reformed life.

Besides finding motivational tools these people suggest that using forceful methods such as stringent punishment provisions would go a long way in prevention of unlawful activities. They feel that fear of law often acts as a deterrent for perpetrators of criminal offences.
