It is relatively modern trend, wherein people are commuting to distant locations to earn their livelihood or grab the opportunity of pursuing academic qualification every day. This has alarmed some who consider it as an unfavorable evolution; however, there are a few favoring this.

Admittedly, this phenomenon has earned a public derision as travelers complain about time constraint. After returning home, they are left with little time for their family or revising their classroom studies for enhancing their skills required to reach the pinnacle in their domains. This affects their familial relationships, as well as their personality and performance adversely. Apart from this, they have to make sacrifice in the social life in order to fulfill their professional or educational obligations.

Moreover, many health experts assert that with the passage of time, those commuting over long distances daily,  start complaining of health issues like body pain and fatigue to name a few. It has been observed that at a very young age students and employees start consuming medicines, affecting their mental and physical wellbeing.

Having said that, a few believe that long-distance travelling has become a norm in modern life. It contributes to the success of both the individuals and organizations. As they get an opportunity to choose from the myriads of the options available for study or work. Apart from this, with more people ready to travel, companies and educational institutions can evade colossal investments required for setting up branches, and thereby save money. They are able to offer better facilities to their workers and students as a result.

In hindsight, even though there are many pitfalls to this new trend that people are commuting long distances every day, there are more benefits for both individuals and society which cannot be overlooked.
