Impoverishment plagues humanity even in the modern world, and despite adopting several measures, this social malady has endured. This can be attributed to a slew of causes, making it imperative to discover panacea to get rid of this challenge.

Destitution is prominently conspicuous in developing nations; they have perennially  struggled owing to paucity of fundamental resources, conspicuously visible when it comes to provisioning elementary amenities: shelter, food, clothing and so on. Similarly, education plays an important role in human upheaval and lack of it in economically weaker nations has been a major obstacle in upliftment of the deprived, leaving them fending for themselves without sufficient resources to support themselves because of poorly paid jobs. Moreover, there is an unequal distribution of wealth between communities, and corruption adds to the woes as the rich are getting richer and the poor poorer.

As far as mitigating this miserable condition is concerned, international communities can play a pivotal role in this endeavor by helping poverty-stricken countries financially: extending monetary aid and also bolstering programs with expertise and resources to help engender and augment infrastructure, so as to create employment venues. Judiciously planned undertakings should be initiated for the alleviaition of the poor: establishing programs to afford free education - awarding scholarships for the deserving;  affording essential facilities, free of cost healthcare, and so on. Likewise, strict policies should be enacted to quell corruption to ensure even dispersion of among disparate popualtion segments.

Overall, undeniably, penury is a serious issue, nonetheless if the global efforts afford relief and support in the form of financial aid and benefits, and the local governments act transparently and aim at extending facilities to all, this phenomenon can be minimized if not eliminated.
