A balanced diet or
eating balanced meals is the key to healthy life. In what extent do you
agree/disagree?
Health has been a matter of profound interest for everyone as
it guarantees quality of life besides longevity, but what should be done
to ensure it, can it be done by taking
balanced food, or does it need something else too? This question has perplexed
humans since time unknown.
Relevance of right amount of nutrition is undeniable; it is
the first and foremost requirement for well-being in all spheres: mental and physical.
A human body is a dynamic system that is constantly functioning and that needs an
uninterrupted refueling of essential elements, to supply body with energy needed
for sustenance of vital functions – recover, repair, build and fight onslaught
of disease and ailments. But, since humans unlike plants, are incapable of manufacturing
required ingredients on their own, they need to consume a healthy diet loaded
adequately with all necessary components.
Moreover, food, with appropriate nutritional value is
pivotal to weight maintenance and emotional stability. It is evidenced that
proteins, carbohydrates calcium, omega 3, etc. play an important role in not
only keeping the metabolism fine tuned, thereby helping the body to sustain
weight at a healthy level but also help keep oneself away from depression,
fatigue, and mood alterations; thus help in keeping a control on mental
health.
However, there are many who do insist on the need to involve
oneself in some kind of physical activity. Human bodies ever since humans
evolved on this planet have craved for some kind of physical activity.
Following some kind exercise regime is considered to be quite important since
it helps the body to metabolize nutrients and toxins, thus keeping it free of
any harmful elements and radicals.
Thus, I strongly feel, for a healthy life although balanced
meals are a must, other factors cannot be ignored too.
