It is a common notion that pupils with unruly behavior should be segregated and educated in a different group. This, as per many, can prove to be beneficial not only for themselves but also for others. However, others contest this and feel that this might result in unwarranted outcomes.

Ones vouching for  classifying learners as per their conduct feel that such an arrangement will ensure that students who are devoted to their academic pursuits would be spared of troubles – becoming victims of pranks and bullying – and disruptions caused by their disorderly classmates who do little but cause a chaos due to their unsettling attitude. Clubbing all troublemakers can prevent academic progress from being impeded, and afford a conducive learning environment.

Moreover, it is rightly said, "One rotten  apple spoils the barrel". Grouping ill-mannered pupils seems to be a practical solution that could help prevent other learners from going astray and following the precedents of their fellow learners.  It has quite often been observed that young learners by virtue of being tender-minded, inexperienced,  and inquisitive are often overwhelmed by  naughty conduct that appeals them.

Having said that, several child psychologists openly deride this proposal. They feel that a segregation would defeat the fundamental purpose of the education: polishing the personalities of the learners rather than magnifying the personality defects of the young ones. Formal tuition renders subtle hints to all by letting students observe conduct of disciplined students passively. Is such an suggestion sees the light of day this may brand many as troublemakers, thereby turning them rebellious.

Hence, despite many lending support to classification of students, I strongly detest this. In my view, this proposal is fraught/ laden/ loaded with numerous inconsistencies, and would do more harm than good to the learners. Thus, it would be practical to put such  proposal in the cold storage.
