Ielts Essay - There is certainly a difference in thoughts
Widening and deepening rift between the generations has always intrigued social theorists.  This has never failed to fascinate many experts: they are at their wits end to find causes behind this. But, does this lead to some problems or not, is a matter worth deep introspection though I personally feel that it does.

The strongest of causes that can be attributed to this issue is the era these people were born in. Where grandfathers and grandmothers were born in perhaps mid 1900s, and mothers and fathers in mid late century, most of the juveniles are born are in the 21st century. There is a gross difference in aspirations of the past and present, due to difference in access to sources of information about surroundings and the world: older generation relied on printed material, radio and television; the children rely on internet and social media.

Moreover, other major cause of contrasting viewpoints is the way people work, this is more associate to the speed with which these three generations work. While parents and grandparents were born in an era bereft of modern gadgets: they spent hours and days working to find out solutions and completing jobs, the new generation is more dependent on the modern equipment that helps them to  negotiate work effortlessly and quickly.

This lack of agreement in opinions is surely leading to a myriad of problems: the families are falling apart and people are abandoning old ways of life since the young generation does not want to share space or even live with their elders, which is leading to elderly living  alone fending for themselves, or moving to old age homes.

Hence, viewpoints of three different genrations can never  agree with each other, which is creating several social issues, that remain insurmountable.

Ielts Essay - Government should spend money to explore life
Availability of appropriate technology and tools has mankind to foray into a realm beyond our own planet. The governments across the world are spending huge money on trying to find life beyond earth, this though has also invited a lot of flak from various quarters.

One of the most prominent reasons for going farther than the outermost limits of atmosphere of our planet is to unravel the mysteries of deeper space; and discover any similar life forms on other planets, if any. This, as per many, could help humanity find solutions for near disaster like situation they have put themselves into. Travelling further from the territories we have already known so deeply could help us to find another civilization that might help us find another civilization that might be more intelligent; and that might surely offer some critical tips on how to survive aftermath of extensive pollution and a probable nuclear war.

However, there are strong voices of dissent on this issue, as many lobbies are cynical of such an ambitious endeavor. As per them, how can governments even think of investing valuable money of tax-payers in these alleged useless activities, just to satisfy list of some whimsical scientists, when there is so much be done back home, on this planet. Currently the biggest challenge being faced by humanity is to improve the living conditions on this planet, the top priority is surely on ensuring appropriate nourishment; providing clean drinking water; rendering critical health care; and educating masses to alleviate illiteracy. In such a condition, diverting public money is a crime, as the critics propose.

To conclude, I personally feel, despite widespread derision, the space exploration programs are laden with multiple benefits for humanity; hence they should continue receiving state support.

Some people support the development of factory farming and the science creation of fruits and vegetables in agriculture, but others oppose to these developments. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Last century saw intensive interaction of science with primary sector. Starting with mechanization; followed up by extensive use of chemical based fertilizers; then battery rearing of cattle; and now genetic engineering, the onslaught of technology has seemed unstoppable. Although it has been supported  by many, others are quick to deride it.

Advocates openly exalt involvement of science in primary sector, since integration of scientific concepts and research with primary sector  have resulted in improving the output  of agriculture and dairy farming. This has helped wipe out worries about people dying of hunger, that were primary concerns in previous centuries. One can easily say that humans have been able to ensure enough food at last, as outputs in agricultural, and dairy activities have soared in last few decades that has facilitated easy availability of food at a much cheaper price.

However, there are others who are quite cynical about the impact of use of modern technology in primary sector. The damage caused to the ecology by extensive use of artificially synthesized compounds in agriculture, dairy and marine industry has been colossal. Wide swathes of land are being stripped of natural flora and fauna; even the marine life is being affected adversely, as the fecal filth of cattle and fish is being indiscriminately dumped into the water bodies.

Moreover, to make the matters worse, this is also impacting the health of humans, thereby defeating the very purpose of the forays of technology. Animals, poultry, fish and crops are being administered synthetic hormones and medicines, which is exposing humans to lethal ailments; disorders; resistance to antibiotic in extreme cases, etc..

In a nutshell, even though farming on industrial scale may be carrying numerous drawbacks, it must be continued since solutions lies in accelerating development and not halting it.
